til now - Not English » Post #1

Sat Sep 10, 2016 08:06 in General Talk

I wish I had a dollar for every time I have read that on this forum.

We see people outside of the USA often say something like this :

- I made $20 til now

What does that tell the American reader?
It tells us you no longer make $20. You previously made it but up until now, you no longer do.

Another example

-My add-on worked til now

What does that tell the American reader?
It tells us your add-on no longer works.

Let's do another example:

-I was living in India til now

What does that tell the American reader?
It tells us you no longer live in India.

So when you use the words 'til now' you are using those words improperly. I know what you really mean
but most English speaking people will not.

They will think you are saying:

I use to make $20 but I don't any more
My add-on use to work but it doesn't any more
I use to live in India but I don't any more

I know what you are really saying but most won't:

Up to this point, I have made $20
Up to this point, my add-on works
Up to this point, I still live in India

---------------------------------------------
Slang = til
Proper = until

I never will understand why they send such nonsense. It would make more sense if they
said something like 'a man passed away here recently leaving property that sold for 1.4
million dollars. We have traced his only living relative to be you....

Something like that. It just goes to show how little their brain is. It makes me wonder
if they even know how to wipe their axx.

Well I guess I am just an old folk because I think it is ALL silly, to say the least.

The only good part about it is that the administration can see who may be causing issues.

Some times it feels like I am at the kiddie school forum.

Seriously, there is a place for everything online. At the CS forum, it should primarily be
about members helping each other and helping CS to grow because growth only means
more money for you. It shouldn't be about how many likes someone gets at the forum
or how many warnings someone has at the forum or any of that. This is a make money
program.

This has already been discussed.

There's a couple of things that are happening or that may be happening.

The first one is your machine. If you don't clear out your machine, you are most probable going to
run into some trouble seeing the unintelligent display of idiocy amongst people with lack of respect
to self and others.

What you need to do is log out of ClixSense and when I say log out, that is what I mean. Click on the
SIGN OUT button. Secondly, you need to close all your windows but one. Best to just go to google
or yahoo and let that be the one that is displaying or a simple blank page. Thirdly, clear your machines
cache.......hit the clear cache button.....wait a few seconds......click it a second time. Fourth, delete
cookies from your machine. Fifth, clear history.......do that twice......click to clear history and wait some
moments and then do it again. Finally, close all windows, reboot your machine. Go to your ClixSense
website and log in.

IF that does not do it, it because of one or the other:

1. Your internet service is slow to propagate and you'll just have to wait some hours for it to do so

2. You did not clear out your machine and you might want to try a crap cleaner that is free to download and use such as ccleaner.

It would be a good idea to explain in detail what problem you are having and since you did not do
that I can only guess you are using a PC or laptop with IE or FireFox.

What can you buy with $15.00 in your country?

In America, and I am rounding off to a common dollar as state prices can vary a little:

One Gallon Milk - $4.00
One loaf Bread - $2.00
Frozen Pack of 20 Biscuits - $4.00
10 pound bag of white rice - $5.00

I don't see anyone being mean here. If a member is going to quit, that is their right.

There has never been an ongoing long term non stop of ads in ClixSense. All there is, is advertisers
that purchase ads. Some may purchase thousands of dollars worth of advertising packages and others
not so much.

You've been here since 2009 and you are only now saying such a thing when 2016 has been their
biggest year ever for many ads. How bazaar!

We hate so much to see you go but here is a nice little farewell:

I am getting out the violin.....see it........twang twang twang whhhrrrreeeeerrrrrrr (sad music playing)
and I am getting out the flowers.......smell them......take a tulip (it's wilted but it still smells nice)

Good luck.

Worst Movie You ever watched in your life? » Post #49

I hate those movies where someone is always holding a camera and stuff is jerky and shaky
and that is suppose to mean something but heaven only knows what because it is so bad that
all it can manage to get is a 1 star from movie goers.

Whew!

Yes it is doing like it did a long time ago in that if you hang out on a topic long enough, it will give
you the boot. Everyone needs to just use some common sense and realize that ClixSense must go
through everything and make sure everything is stable and working correctly as it once was....and
maybe even better.

Some ads are back » Post #2

I really don't know what you mean at all.

Advertisers purchase ads. When their allotment of ads run out, that is it, period. They
can of course, purchase advertising again. It's really a very very very simple process
and it is also very simple to understand. Think of a package of candy. You go to the
package of candy and you take one out and you eat it all up. The candy you took from
the package is where? It's in your digestive system. It's already used. It's gone. It
is no longer visible. What do you do now? Well, you have a choice. You can do nothing.
OR....you can go back to the bag of candy and get another one.

I am not so sure why there are members having difficulty understanding that. I am
addressing this to everyone that does not understand how people buy advertising.

Advertising is not forever. An advertiser pays money to choose an advertising package.
When the package runs out, the advertiser may return at some point to buy another
advertising package. Then again, the advertiser may not ever return and may never
buy another advertising package.

There is NOT an issue!

Come Back. » Post #2

It was asinine. Sharkado was even more interesting.

I'm having more ads » Post #8

rozika2011 wrote: After the hack I'm having more ads than before. Are people spending their balance to purchase ads? Is the situation this bad? My friends say that clixsense don't have more money and they are using the "hacker" excuses as scam ptcs do before they disappear. Fortunately I don't have a lot of money here!

Thanks for the laugh. I shouldn't be drinking coffee this time of day anyway.

That's like someone saying Trump does not have any money so he sold the Trump Tower to Mexico.

Oh seriously, give a break here for crying outloud. The man owns million dollar businesses. You think
ClixSense is all he has? Even if ClixSense was his only source of income, do you think he isn't making
money from the thousands of TASKS done every day and the HUNDREDS or perhaps even THOUSANDS
of Offers/Surveys completed daily. People do pay for advertising every day so I don't know where anyone
gets that there isn't any ads. Of course, being in 'Hungary' would probably be a good little q that you may
not be seeing as many ads as those in a top tier country.

This topic is just so far out of line, I am locking it. Believe me, Jim has money and plenty of it and
his IQ goes a little above the dense line. If he wanted to cancel this program, he would and it would
be as simple as that. He could certainly sell it for a ton of money. A TON!

My favorite movie is........ Doctor Zhivago
I've watched that movie probably 25 times. I would wish I was Julie Christie just so I could get to Omar.
Wasn't he a good looking hunk! Oh and the ending of that movie.....it just grabs at you....or me.

Click Ads - Where did they go? » Post #2

Wed Sep 07, 2016 13:12 in General Talk

Advertising is based on ...... advertisers and the amount of ads they purchase.

There was some large campaigns for several months of an almost constant flow
of ads primarily targeted to USA members. I suspect that is what you are referring to.

It is not an issue. The advertiser purchased ads to run his campaign and now it is over.
Simple as that.

There is also 'Deep Blue'.....errrrr not sure if that was a shark movie.
