I think I killed a Copperhead, what ya think? » Post #5

Wed Sep 26, 2012 09:35 in General Talk

Only thing is, they say copperheads are not aggressive and will usually run the other way when confronted. Just the opposite of a cottonmouth. They say cottonmouth's are very aggressive and will keep trying to bite you.

At first, I thought it might be a young cottonmouth. Cottonmouths around here are usually very dark, almost black but the young ones can be lighter. I was mighty sure it wasn't a cottonmouth as I got a better look at him due to it's distinct saddle markings.

However, he would not run away. He kept standing up, striking at me, trying to bite. I took the shovel, and sort of scoop flipped him a ways towards the pond. He came back towards me and every time I would flip him with the shovel, he still turned back and came for me. By this time, I decided he was a copperhead and I had enough of him. Flipped him a good one and when he tried to strike that time, I let him have it and pinned his head/neck area with the shovel.

All my grass is freshly mowed. I do have a lot of stick piles up against trees. I pick up sticks and limbs that fall from the trees, and will make piles by a tree. I do that all thru out the summer months and then when the weather cools, I have to get a burn code (permit), collect all the sticks to one huge pile, and burn it all.

Copperheads like wood piles. I figure he must have made a home in one of those stacks of sticks. Not sure why he was crawling in the short grass towards me. The weather here has cooled a tad. Could be he was simply cooling off in the grass. Or maybe he was hungry!

This feller would not leave. He/She just kept on striking, trying to bite me. Normally, I won't kill a snake unless I think it's poisonous. I have to kill the poisonous ones because they put me and all the critters out here in jeopardy. At first, I thought it was a big brown snake but then noticed it's bands and distinct markings. I thought it might be a young cottonmouth (water moccasin) but I concluded this is a copperhead. I was working on the deck and took a break prancing around with only flip-flops on my feet, smashing mole tunnels. Do you know what a mole tunnel is? Pesky creatures and I sure have a lot of them out here. I had the flat square head shovel, smashing down the mole tunnels when this snake appeared and wanted to fight. I tried to shoo him off and he was determined to fight. I thought it best for him to meet his maker....better him then me! I've never been good at identifying snakes. I still have the shovel stuck in his neck as I might get a better look at his head, after I am sure he is dead.

When is the payment of bonus? » Post #2

Mon Sep 24, 2012 22:48 in General Talk

Not too sure what you are asking and will guess.

The checklist bonus is paid daily. Of course, they don't pay the checklist bonus the same day you make it because you might make more before the day is over.

You are absolutely correct about not having a checklist bonus if they don't give it. That would not make any sense to anyone. I'm wondering why you even made such a statement because everyone gets paid their checklist bonuses.

It seems like you are asking, 'is the terms and conditions really being read?' as that is the only question I think I see in your post. Therefore, kind of tough to answer that because there would be no way I could know if someone reads the terms or not.

I can answer for myself with a YES, I always read the terms and policies BEFORE I sign up to anything or put my name on anything.

Do You have Stupid Dreams? » Post #4

Tue Sep 18, 2012 14:35 in General Talk

Yep, I guess that is it daxserver. We dream weird stuff that appears to be often tangled in with real life stuff.

Pet Trade Center : Well, maybe I dreamed this because of clicking on cats instead of dogs here at ClixSense. Trade off? Also, I have a lot of pets. Rarely but some times I shop online at some of the pet stores.

Tires: This could be due to some of the tire surveys I have done thru ClixSense. More so, many of the survey qualifying questions will ask if you plan on buying a new vehicle or tires.

Air Freshener: I look at scented candles online often and have scented candles and various air fresheners

8 Tracks: Not sure where this came from. In fact, I am pretty sure I have never watched a movie on an 8 track....not even sure but I don't think movies were ever made on 8 track. I did in fact have 8 tracks that played music and 8 track players, back in the early 1970's. I don't physically rent movies but I do stream movies thru netflix.

Shirt/Blouse: I've always liked ladies peasant blouses. They are some what out of style these days in the USA. I can remember wearing them back in the 1970's. I certainly wouldn't pay 9 thousand dollars for one. lol Maybe I was dreaming some what of the old days in the 1970's when we listened to 8 tracks and wore peasant blouses.

Kind of weird how our dreams come out, all tangled and crazy.

Not sure what you mean by 'easily'.

You have to work to get referrals by advertising and promoting.

Body lotion moisturizers, do they help long term? » Post #2

Mon Sep 17, 2012 23:17 in General Talk

Depending on your age, absolutely yes.

I would say, that vaseline petro jelly is probably the best thing you can use. I will also suggest 'Vaseline Lotion' that comes in the pale yellow bottle which contains vitamins A and E. Use 'Dove' bar soap (the white). Most IMPORTANTLY, drink WATER every day.

Almost all my life, I have used/done the above.

I do not suggest much anything else.

I will say, I do like some of the 'Aveeno' products, they are very good.

I'll also strongly suggest 'Dove' bar soap (the regular white dove soap).

At least a few times a month, rub vaseline petro all over you. Leave it on a few minutes (yes you'll be greasy to say the least), whilst you run a very warm bath water. Take a normal bath, using soap (I suggest dove). The vaseline will sink into your skin due to the water moisture and heat of the bath water. Dry off as normal. You'll feel like a babies butt.

I am 56 years old and get complimented on my skin, all the time, even from doctors and nurses. I even get ask what I do. And the above IS exactly what I do and have done for 30+ years.

Some people say, dreams make sense. I don't think so because I have the craziest dreams and I assure you, they do not make sense.

This morning I dreamed there was a special sale going on at 'Pet Trade Center' and all I had to do is buy $1,800 worth of tires at 'Pet Trade Center' and I would receive a free car freshener.

First of all, who in their right mind buys tires from a pet center and I don't think I have ever heard of a pet trade center anyway. Who spends $1,800 for car tires?

Ok my next dream I remember having this morn .... I was in a movie rental place. The movies were in 8 track cassette case box's. I ask the guy at the sales counter, if there was any movies that were not on 8 track. He looked at me like I was stupid and said 'Of course not, all we have is 8 track, but if you look on the bottom shelves, you will find college students thesis for rent'. So I looked on the bottom shelves, and sure enough, there was all sorts of folders that contained students works. I thought that odd and about the time I started to walk out the door, I saw a pink ruffled peasant shirt for sale. I had to have it so I ask, how much is this and the guy said, $9,000 plus tax. I said, I'll take it! I went home with the shirt but when I put it on, it was way too big. It looked like I was in a pink ruffled flour sack. I was so upset, I woke up with tears streaming down my face. :?
