For example, I am RHo- and this means the only blood I can receive is RHo-
Mostly, RHo- blood is considered the universal donor.
In other words, my blood is always in high demand.
This is because people with my blood type, can only receive my blood type, and people not of my blood type, can receive my blood type if their blood type is not available.
Another thing about RHo- people is that women that have children, must have what we use to call RhoGam shot after each birth. I think they may call it something other than RhoGam today. I have 3 RhoGam cards that I keep in my handbag. Because I have had 3 children and had a RhoGam shot after each birth. This is because their positive blood cells is released into my negative blood cells upon birth. Of course, if you are a woman that has this blood type, has a miscarriage, you would need the shot also.
