Well, here is the jest about that, just for your information in regards to cats and their litter box's.
A cat's litter box is almost like .... hmmmmm, trying to think how to put it, kind of like a part of the cat to the cat.
It can almost be like the cat's home. Whether happy or sad, some times a cat will retreat to his litter box.
So, when we see a cat that is in a shelter that may have his own little sheltered home with his own litter box, we
might see him actually sitting or even laying in his litter box. Our first thoughts is usually of sadness. Reality is, to
the cat, it's probably more a feeling of contentment. The cat is not sad per se. He is simply claiming what is his and
perhaps having a feeling of contentment.
