( Honestly, I just forgot who quoted this... :oops: )

I'm convinced, but I don't think the younger generations believe it any more than I did when I was their age. lol

You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can only make a monkey out of the voters every four years!

Any article really makes you think.
Well, it made me think, which does not necessarily make you think.
I didn't mean to imply that you think like I do, in fact, not many people think like I do.
Even my wife says I think to much.
I think she means I think too much about things she doesn't want me thinking about, and not enough on what she thinks.

We've got to step up our conservation efforts before it's too late.
We're not protecting our lands and natural resources.
Take the Grand Canyon for example;
I'm sure that at one time it was a beautiful piece of land, and just look at the way we've let it go.

I am sorry papamike51 :( . I sincerely apologize to everyone for including a sensitive topic in a peaceful thread. :)

No need to apologize, and I, personally, am not offended. Just tired of hearing about it everywhere. Thanks and hopes for a better world next year.

There is a rotten core within Islamism which is the obvious reason why so many people think of Muslmis as haters.

You can't blame an entire religion and it's principles because few misguided use it as a reason to cause unrest(for causes that even they themselves don't really understand). There definitely are people who misuse religions and lead the way for people having prejudice about the whole religion but that doesn't mean the religion itself has "rotten core".

Is there any way we can keep politics and religion out of this.

We cannot use a double standard for measuring our own and other people's policies. Our demands for democratic practices in other lands will be no more effective than the guarantees of those practiced in our own country.
