I used to get emails from the sheik of the burning sands to come and join his harem because I am beautiful and true love only matters. I think he must have been blind.

Well I am the long lost Princess of the Queen of Nigeria. They happen to trace me down
after Queen Nineediabugodai passed away. She left $38,975,502.07 to me. I don't have
to send any id's. Also, they did not ask for my first born. All I need to do is do a wire
transfer from my bank through Wells Fargo of $12,623.00....a meager sum in exchange
for the huge sum owed me. I think they need the $12,623.00 for a stamp.

I knew you and I were related.

On topic, Hitchhiker's isn't DNAs best work, it just happened to be the one I'm reading. Both Dirk Gently books are better, imo, but the real highlight is the non-fiction Last Chance To See.

I like your way of thinking.

Actually you're in good shape to make 50 posts

Here at :clixsense: $1.00 = 100 pennies.

When you convert Cash to Coin to digital 100 pennies, that would allow you to make 50 posts at the rate of $0.005 per post, based at 15 seconds intervals.

If you do time management, you can get some $0.005 PTC ads in between posting and not take a full deficit earning loss.

You'll be in big trouble if your son catches you in his stash :D

Uh, yeah.....I've been trying to help my grandkids with their math and it's not been going well...
Hopefully they will do better in class than taking my help for gospel.

Totally insane how much money they demand nowadays for repairing car damages or even replacing a light bulb or changing the oil.

At least in my country it's not cheap since the old currency was replaced by the euro.

No hard feelings, i didn't mean to offend :)

Don't ever worry about offending me, it takes a lot to get me going :)

Fortunately we have collision insurance which covers it all but the $500 deductible. But I'll tell you what. Dealing with insurance companies...now THAT offends me. They have no problem taking my money every month, but trying to get them to pay a claim, you have to pry it from their money grubbing hands. :x

The speed limit is 70 mph on the freeway. My wife was driving us to her doctor appointment which is quite a distance. As we were driving a young doe ran out in front of us and she drove into it. My wife was able to slow down enough to where the air bags didn't deploy, but the front end of the car was pretty smashed up.

The car was driveable and we were able to get to her appointment and back home. Thankfully neither of us was injured and the deer got up and ran away, but I'm sure she had some bruises on her. The van suffered $3600 worth of damage but the insurance company covered the cost, less our deductible.

For some reason ever since this happened I have had a strong craving for venison.

No need to kill or injure animals that cross the road, just slow down while driving and imagine that animal that is crossing the road would be your beloved pet dog, or cat or other.

just a thought, because i also drive almost daily and have experienced plenty of incidents when animals crossed this or that road but i haven't hit any of them in 10 years of driving ;)

Your suggestions, while well intentions, male absolutely no sense. Sometimes it's just plain unavoidable.
I don't see how going the speed limit would help anything.
As for it being my beloved dog, cat or other....They wouldn't be near the freeway out where there are woods on both side of the expressway.

Too late to break.

Back in '81 driving a my new little four wheeler on the way to Chicago.

Bambi's cousin standing in the hammer lane on this side of the bridge in my lane.

A big truck and myself was hammer down and I had the front door.

The big truck was only like two seconds behind and we we're passing every one.

This was about 1:00 AM in the morning, can't recall the mile marker now, didn't think I
would ever forget it, seems like mile marker 181, but now that may be a guess.

Anyway, a bridge was coming up, I had just passed a car and now coming up to the
bridge and oh boy, their was Bambi's little cousin standing in the middle of the hammer lane.

Split second thinking, considering my options at the traveling speed, I can't move to the right
lane because I'm passing another car, I couldn't step on the breaks with the big truck running
so close to me, I could cut to the left into the median and it's a big downhill valley and risk
flipping the car and me being injured if not worse.

At the same time, I picked up my CB mic laying on my lap, " back off back off dear " then bam,

Poor Bambi's cousin fly's over the roof of the car, right into the big truck, landing under
the big truck windsheild.

I was surprisingly their was no damaged to my little new car, don't know if the big truck had
any damage.

I felt bad what happen to Bambi's cousin.

The next time.........

Bambi's other cousin.......

I was on state road south of Tuscaloosa, Ala

Guess this was sometime in the middle 90's

I was driving a 5 speed firebird with t-tops, boy I miss the car, I fixed that car
up like new, replaced the motor, transmission, new wheels, new tires and next
was to be a new paint job.

On this vehicle, the headlights raised up.

Anyway, as I turned off one road to another road and winding the gears out.

There was Bambi's other cousin, out of no where, no time for any split second
decision making. Bambi's other cousin became a fatal statistic.

I had some damage to the right headlight that had to be repaired.

About a year later, my car was stolen, stripped and burned.
