Banners? » Post #1

Hi. I'd like to advertise this site to get some referrals, but I can't seem to find the banners. Have they moved, or have I gone blind? :D

Forums always remember what you write.

I'm a member of many forums, and the good ones always feel like coming home. :)

This is only a small part of what a forum mod does.

Every forum gets spammed by bots. Moderators are needed to sift through all the daily post and remove the spam. Believe me, some of those bots can be incredibly clever in hiding their advertisements in legit-seeming posts. This takes human brainpower and time.

Then there are reposts, bumps of old topics, posts to the wrong subforums, plain off-topic responses such as memes, layout-breaking images, etc. Most of a forum mod's daily work is mundane.

Breaking up fights is just a small part of moderating a forum. Most often, the people who get warnings believe they have done nothing wrong. Sending out those warnings is enough to make the toughest person nervous waiting for the PM reply. I can imagine that most mods will rather be sifting spam!

Most of the work is done behind the scenes. If it is done right, almost no forum members will notice it. All forums I have helped moderate has had a secret subforum where the mods discuss among themselves. Even the content of those places is usually mundane.

Are you running a VPN or TOR server on your computer? Do you share your IP address with other computers?

Somebody on an online forum mentioned this to me 10 years ago and sent me a link. I moved, forgot about this, then read about it on a different forum a couple of months ago. Turned out I already had an account.

Your sponsor probably bought the ad and added their referral number to the links. Is there a personal message from them in your profile? If they haven't added one, you could try emailing them. (Sorry, didn't read properly here!) Sponsors get an email from ClixSense every time an affiliate signs up, however, if they have placed an ad they might have had many signups from it.

If your sponsor is inactive you can always ask us here for help with anything. :)

Why so few ads to click as of the past two days? » Post #6

Yes, this always happens at this time of year. I lost my streak bonus because of this. It will pick up.

Do you want us to report malicious ads? » Post #1

Maybe once a week, I run into ads that have redirect scripts, try to force my browser into downloading something, or simply get blocked by my antivirus software. Are we doing you a favour by reporting those ads, or are we giving you unnecessary work? This is fairly rare, but it pops up now and then especially in the ClixGrid.
