They don't own their homes. They live in the projects or live in poor quality rental houses. They can't afford the latest electronics. Anyone I know that has smartphones, HDTV,etc. are middle class and most of them have to wait to get to latest electronics. Your idea of what the poor in America can do, unfortunately, is just a fantasy. It might be true in movies but in real life it isn't. Get to know real people before you start making your generalized statements because they just aren't true.
Poor can't afford any big house, car, smartphone, and other. They should be living like slums like poor country.
It's the truth the American aren't poor as the rest of the world.

The rich should pay same wages worldwide. No more outsource job.
5000 dollars a month will help everyone. No one is going ever sell their food stamp for cash.
It's going everyone like senior, disable, mental disease and other.
The problem with what you are proposing is that it would put Doctors and others who have gone to college for years to get their degrees on the same level wages and that just wouldn't work out. No way a doctor should make the same as someone who works at McDonald's or doesn't work at all. As far as the disabled go. I am disabled and I can only speak for myself. I do live way below the poverty line. I would love to have more money but I don't want a hand out. As far as disability social security goes. I worked for years. It was taken from my checks so it's owed to me.
I am saying wage should be the same worldwide. It's not fair people who live oversea. They have come for higher salary in rich country.
This is why we should have 5000 dollars a month income for everyone worldwide.
Like I said paying doctors and other college educated people the same as someone who works at McDonald's it is not fair and it makes no sense. If someone puts years into their education they DESERVE to make a high amount of money. They've put the work in to so. On the other hand someone who has not gone to college and sits around getting wellfare checks does not deserve the same pay as a college educated person. Sorry, David, equal pay doesn't mean sit on your butt and get paid like a doctor. It means you do the same work as me you get the same pay as me. Your proposal would mean people would have no reason to college. Why should they? They'll never be able to advance beyond the pay level they are currently at. It has nothing to do with 'rich' countries. It has to do with encouraging people to do better. Giving people a goal to set for. As far as not being fair goes. Life is not fair. No one ever said it was. It's fair in rich countries. It's not fair in poor countries. It's just not fair. That's why we work to better ourselves to try to make things a bit more fair. Yes, it's it's a bit easier in so called rich countries but there are still poor people in these countries, too. They struggle, too. Have you forgot about them, David? Anyways, I've started to ramble. Everyone deserves a chance but no one deserves a free ride. That's what your proposal amounts to.
