Weather wise this morning a beautiful blue sky
and +5C. and the cottonwood trees in our backyard
are still green. The snow has arrived at all the mountain passes.
It is going to be a great year for skiers and snowboarders.
Using my light weight walker these days and on
snowy days either stay home or when in need
to go out am super careful, also have failsafe
button, that if I fall connects me to a service
that will ask me if I am in need will send help
or if I do not reply will phone my home and no reply
there will send ambulance to my location. Just signed
up with Safeway pharmacy for my flu shot.400 on waiting list
and they will call me when it is my turn. I am reasonably
well prepared.
Shoveling snow is not allowed for me, but twice a week going
to the chiropractor for laser treatment and decompression
and while out pick up a few groceries. Can just walk far enough
to public transport, which stops right in front of the chiropractors
office .Safeway is 1/2 block from there and return bus in from of Safeway
So feel lucky. remaining days are used for recovering from that exercise.
Getting old sure sucks. But feel there are others a lot worse off.
So count my blessings.
When I was little we used to cut up advertising flyers into toilet paper
size squares and tie them on a string. It worked very well. n our large
family it would have cost a lot to use toilet paper. Anyone born before
1940 probably knows what I am talking about.
