be careful, you should not follow the link, you should login independently.
is this true?
Obviously you don't give personal information about your identity or your accounts to just anywhere, even if it says a name of a reputable site via email -- and never click on any links that the said email contains -- EVER!
If you have an email ( not yet opened ) and you see the header says something like that -- DON'T OPEN IT ANYMORE!* -- open a new tab, then go directly to the main site, and look at their updates; if you can, try to contact their staff and support in regards that you received 'a notice to update' -- if they confirm that it's not theirs, you can either mark the said mail as Spam, and/or report it to Paypal and allow them to deal with it
Again -- Never give personal info of yourself via email -- always make sure that it's legit, and do try to go to the site and check under HTTPS to avoid loss
*if by chance you opened it, quickly go to your email's settings and change your password ASAP -- preferably to a much stronger one -- log out, and try your new password. From here, don't use the old one anymore, least the email you opened may have some 'unwanted scripts'
