What you opened was a
Phishing Mail -- another way that scrupulous individuals try to get your data (
important passwords / info ) and take what you have
As much as possible, go back to your accounts immediately ( your LR account, and all other important sites you have ) and quickly change all the passwords and security features of that site -- make sure the passwords are difficult for any dictionary attack (
a.k.a. common words ) -- preferably go with an AlphaNumeric combi-mix -- then if you can try to seek help with the site noting that you were a victim of identity fraud, and someone took your funds using your online identity by a phishing mail (
they may require some authentication and documents, but it's up to the site's Customer Service on how they handle such matters )
So for experience -- Next time,
never open just any mail that says "
...please verify your account..." or "...has been approved..." or "...congratulations..."
and that you have to click on the links that are provided in the email without verifying from the site -- Don't click on any of those links in such mails at all
