 Head's up -- Software Updates

Mozilla
has now released a patch for Firefox; Firefox Stable Release is now on v45.0.2 -- the new patch is available by manually checking your browser's updater, while the offline installer will be available in a few minutes at the main publisher's site ( if anyone wishes to do a fresh install instead )

Also, there is also talks that Mozilla may soon depreciate / reduce or eventually remove the use of Adobe's NPAPI Plugins; details can be seen at the GHacks Tech Blog:

I'd agree with valerie -- there be times it would be the advertiser that would make the error when submitting the site they want the members to view ( missing character / misspelled / closed domain / etc )

On the positive note -- it's good that you caught an Extend Ad

There's actually one kind of 'job' like that in my country -- in some slums, the person just has to 'sleep' in a coffin, while his/her 'companions' would carry on the act of his/her recent passing -- then they pass a few alms boxes and envelopes to solicit some donations from passer-bys and locals

Nice 'racket' for a lazy one ;)

THAT is almost hilarious! :o

There's also another racket here that involves paying people to cry at your funeral ( at times favored for Chinese families, they pay some people to act as if they were family members, and cry -- often loudly -- for the one who had passed away :( )

Paid to Cry ( PTC )

Do you smell phantom smoke? » Post #8

Thu Apr 07, 2016 05:17 in General Talk

:?: Phantom smoke?

Well in my country, one considers the belief that the smell of flowers or burning candle wax as a visit from the deceased; if one smells flowers ( or faint sweet odors ), it's a good sign, a peaceful visit/presence -- but if it's the scent of burning candle wax, it's a troubled soul making a visit ( or something that isn't related to your family ) where a lot of prayers will be needed to help it on it's way

*shrug* ...just tossing in my two cents ;)
