Better safe than sorry, I'd say -- I had my JAVA toolkit 'ripped out' of my system ( started way back with Firefox v6, when the JAVA toolkit was considered a security threat -- there's a few tutorials and guide out on the Web that'll show how to physically remove the toolkit from your system so it'll never show anymore -- until you make an update, that is )
** when you're in the document, CTRL+F for the key phrase: To manually remove the older, vulnerable plugin, find and delete all copies of "npdeploytk.dll" -- there are three links there that'll help in the reference
Hate to be the bearer of bad news -- but the new update from JAVA ( v7u11 ) was still not fixed
According to the reference I found, the new update only addresses one of the major flaws -- so there's still the possibility of any exploits. I don't know whether to say it's good to have JAVA running in one's PC, but Mozilla Firefox has done what was necessary -- block any traits of JAVA 7u11 and lower
