What did you tweak while I was away? Can you still recall the process? By any chance -- hope it's not any one of these Processes as indicated in the reference link:

On the BlackViper list, make sure that your current process on your gear matches the Default settings indicated on the list -- those are the standard settings on all Win7 machines
