Guess you've seen the updates, and a few have already updated their browser -- yup, it's now v14.0.1
Now the fun begins, testing it out:
Believe it or not, if you open your Task manager ( that's Shift+CTRL+Esc on your keypads ) the memory looks very nice to start with -- on v13.0.1 I'd be getting roughly 500-600mb reading off my memory ( no video or flash running in the other tabs )
But now -- even with a couple of Youtube channel up, 4 Blogs opened, the main Yahoo news page, I'm grabbing roughly 400-435mb consumption on memory! ( yes, I know the Flash plug-ins are now running at roughly 20-35mb, but it disappears once the video's done -- the old v13.0.1 retained the Flash Plug-ins, thus a wasteful 12-25mb in the memory in my opinion )
How about here? Believe it or not, noticed a faster transition of the pages -- very fast! Just got an ad -- before, there'd be a quick few seconds ( 2-3seconds ) lag before the "click the Cat" image message appears -- now, not anymore! Refreshing pages even feel better.
How about the Task windows? Clicking the links to open the pages to find the data needed is smooth and crisp, no lagging I love this browser when clicking for ads
Tested it out on the Games section -- loading a game ( tried a couple ) is better and smooth -- and like when I noticed the Youtube behavior, after a few minutes after closing the game, the Flash plug-ins disappear! Yes, this new version of Firefox seemed to have cleared that annoying issue of memory mismanagement
Now, it's even more compatible for Mac users
