Actually, this happened but a few moments ago...

My nephew was checking his mail, and he received a notice from Youtube that his video has been approved. I had no idea that after he clicked on it, his anti-virus started popping up -- spam mail, laced with unwanted attachments ( *sigh* ) :( Sure spent a good number of moments to help him clean it out of his desktop.

Careful what you get in the mail, seems like this Youtube ( spam ) mail been around since last month -- judging from a quick search engine browse over it, just a head's-up.

:D No techniques -- just down to plain old-fashioned luck; there are times one may win the 5-extra chances or a cash prize, or both; and maybe multiple times -- and then there's times it just won't favor you...

Just keep clicking randomly, maybe that one chance of a click might land you that $5.00 prize everyone's dying to get

It's how one cooks ampalaya -- may paraan para mawala, or at least bawasan ang lasa nito ( pinapakulo muna yata before adding the ingredients )

Kung di available sa pantry ang beef cubes, pwede rin ang Magic Flakes o NamNam :D

Kung original Windows ang OS mo, talagang kailangan na Auto-update  ( their anti-virus and Defender falls under this )

*Another way to check if you have an original Windows software can be found on this FAQs:

Search Engine Keywords: windows microsoft.com en-US help genuine faq
( please copy-paste the keywords onto your favorite search engine )

Now... :geek:

:!: In regards to your DOCs in the Recycle bin while running CCleaner, ang masasabi ko lang ay base sa isang lumang TV commercial: "Goodbye old hotdog..."

Anything that's in the Recycle bin while CCleaner is running has a very high chance of being processed for secure deletion -- unless you've made backup copies of your work ( regardless of file type extension name ) you're out on your own :(

But if you want to try to recover it -- go to Piriform ( the main site of CCleaner -- you can access the site by clicking on your CCleaner's "Check for Updates..." link at the lower-right side panel ) and download the program Recuver

There are many blogs, as well as Youtube videos that would show you how to properly use Recuver

;) Before I forget -- time to teach how to use CCleaner's Drive Wiper:

Things to remember -- Drive Wiping is more like defragging: it should not be interrupted! Any sudden power surges ( or loss of power i.e. blackouts ) will render your hard drive useless, and worse case is that you'll have to reformat your system -- yes, you will lose all your data, so make sure to turn off all other programs when you drive wipe ( so it'll be effective )

Another reason for drive wiping: every time you purge your Recycle Bin ( right-click on the trashcan on your Desktop ) the files are still in your HD, rendered to 'shadow files' -- bits of digital signatures that can still be retrived with the proper recovery programs ( i.e. Recuver ) -- to make sure nobody will ever be able to get these files ( from small TXT files to heavy ones like MPEG & MP4 files ) here's how:

Click Tools -- Drive Wiper

Under Wipe: set to "Free Space Only"
Reason: the other option is meant to totally erase your HD! -- use this if you want to sell your PC / Laptop!

Under Security: set to "Simple Overwite 1 pass"
Reason: drive wiping time will depend how large is your HD; plus if this is set to the "Very Complex Overwrite", it'll stress your HD badly in the long run, so a 1-pass usage is good enough

Under Drives: set only for the device you want, one at a time
Reason: Yes, flash drives can be drive wiped, but remember that flash drives are constantly used for moving data, so drive wiping one will lessen its lifespan ( an estimate of 10-yrs retention usage is set on most flashdrives  )

Once the settings are made, make sure you stop all other programs and closed all your browsers -- then click on "Wipe" and step away from your unit.

The average time you'll need depends on 1) how large is your HD, and 2) how long you had deleted files -- chances of 45mins-1hr go here ( worse cases, 2hrs ) -- so once you have this running, step back and watch tv, or go outside

:!: Forgot again -- to make sure nobody messes the process, lock your PC / Laptop ( Admin level command ) -- and that Drive Wiping must be done at least once a month ONLY
