Forgot to add this earlier ( so scatter-brained of me )

Try this as well: look around if you plan to swap/sell your old laptop -- at least get an estimate price that you may get when you dispose of it, then add that to your earnings from clicking ( the extra money can be used for "unforeseen expenses" )

Meanwhile, use your current laptop for some other opportunity to earn -- like data encoding projects / reports / thesis for students, or doing digital artwork ( not just centralized on drawing, but on linearts and coloring, but you'll have to prove your worth -- a.k.a. no tracing / cut-paste works -- digital works must be strictly original content ), create flash games ( there are sites that promote a user's flash game/movie content and would pay if their works get a lot of exposure )

Just a few tidbits to help you ;)

Given your location ( Tier1 - Canada ), if you grind your fingers well on Tasks and Offers ( but not to the point of losing them  ), you may be able to get your new gear in less than 6-8 months ( maybe even less )

Same here, good luck and keep on clicking ;)

GT Distractions -- Time to check your Updates » Post #252

Wed Mar 25, 2015 15:54 in General Talk

Head's up -- Piriform is now releasing CCleaner v5.04.5151 in Standard and Portable -- the Portable and Slim variants are available at the main publisher's downloading hub under Builds ( BTW: the CCleaner Slim installer is not bundled with a Google Chrome sub-installer, compared to the Standard installer; the Portable variant is intended for users that want to have it in theor USB as an On-the-go Program )

Pale Moon is now on v25.3.1 -- Pale Moon is a branch variant of Mozilla Firefox -- the installer is available at the main publisher and most reputable downloading hubs

Offhand: Microsoft had released a security update for the Windows Update labelled as kb3033929 -- unfortunately, this update isn't important; it's a program, stated in some blogs as an integral part IF you wish to prepare your gear to upgrading from your current version to the new Windows 10 -- but as records has noted that the said patch had issues of being a flawed install -- users reported that the patch reports an error on installation, and keeps re-downloading again and again

It would be necessary, to avoid the issue, is to right-click the patch and Hide it until there be a real fix confirmation -- best to keep tabs with reputable Tech Blogs and forums in regards to this

Favorite ways to get referrals? » Post #9

Tue Mar 24, 2015 10:11 in General Talk

Ok, I'll come clean -- guess me and BouldRake were just having a bit of humor; all's good though, for a few smiles

Now, if you want to get referrals, there's a lot of ways -- there's the online methods ( creating blogs, promoting your link on your account's signature -- of course, depends if the site that you'll be using your affiliate link as a signature will allow it or you can end up losing your account under the guidelines of spamming* ) and there's the old-school method ( meeting friends face-to-face, calling cards, flyers, etc )

( *there are sites that have their own set of guidelines in regards to posting links on a member's signature section, so read their ToS Usage )

It's up to you on how much effort you'd like to put to getting your own referrals -- just remember to avoid paying/renting for a referral ( a complete waste of time and money )

Now, additional offhand note for my earlier post: I haven't tried bacon as referral bait lately... maybe one of these days...

CF Tasks, counted ba ung completed under Quiz mode » Post #12

jardine1026 wrote: thnx po for the response .. ;)

12 pages sa task? wow.. mas madugo nga.. magkano naman pay don?

Mababa :( you're just looking for the model number -- so kailangan makita mo and encode as is; matatamaan ka sa accuracy pag mali ang encode ng numbers, quotation marks, even spacing ( if there are any found on such )

Ang masakit -- if there's more than one model number, you have to encode them all  kawawang daliri ko...

PayPal needs your feedback » Post #4

 Verified the link -- ( it's HTTPS is confirmed as well on VirusTotal via Re-Analyze option, since the last scan was dated 2012 )

Seems the link is meant to 'straighten' out the FAQs formatting that's found in the main PayPal site, making it a bit easier for some of it's customers/members to understand the ins-and-outs of PayPal, and as much get on the idea of maintaining a Forum to show activity among members

Now I agree with mukande -- what I don't understand is why would they send a survey to inquire about your satisfaction/dissatisfaction of a service, when one can just submit a Resolution Ticket ( under the Contact link at the bottom of PayPal's main page ) on their main site without the use of a redirection link ( that is, the link provided in that email you may have opened from PayPal )

I say ignore the email; don't open anymore emails like that -- go to the main site instead and inquire from there

CF Tasks, counted ba ung completed under Quiz mode » Post #6

Mon Mar 23, 2015 06:00 in Filipino

saya ko naman kanina.. daming Tasks.. kaso first time ko nag take nung sa Invoices.. 2 mali ko.. madugo pala yon, haba.. 2 pages.. :o

 Pag nasa Quiz Mode ang member sa Tasks, CrowdFlower is testing kung qualified ka para ma-accomplish ang Job with the least amount of errors ( or no errors ), so the Quiz section of any Tasks is not considered part of the pay -- but is necessary for a member to continue on with the Task offered, and that the member gets the approval of CF to do more better Tasks ( again, depending on the member's Task accuracy results, which will equal to a Badge requirement )

Offhand: Two pages, madugo? Heheh, wala yan -- nuong early months ng Tasks ( wala pa ang Badge Requirements then ) may isang Task na naranasan kong na kailangan basahin ang buong instructional guide para lang makita ang tamang model number -- naku, ang naranasan kong basahin isang scanned PDF manual na 12-pages long ( susmaryosepnaman ) at hindi gumagana ang CTRL-F on some manuals then

Regarding Clixgrid » Post #2

Mon Mar 23, 2015 05:39 in General Talk

Unfortunately, few people are quite lucky in the games of chance ( like the Lottery, any card game, etc. ) and there be others who just aren't lucky enough on a particular day :)

ClixGrid is a game that depends on one's luck -- no tricks, no guides, no patterns, no secret combos or combo-breakers, no game cheats, no enhancements or incantations, no prayers or vows to make, and definitely no virgin sacrifices, selling unwilling souls and blood offerings on an altar of marble and diamonds is needed to win

The best you can do is don't expect to win ( well, I'm imagining that you're now sayong something like "say what?" in front of your computer right now  ) -- what I mean is this: just click where you want to click, and enjoy playing the ClixGrid as a game, and let it do what it does -- if you don't win today, there's always another chance tomorrow ;)

Just keep on clickin'
