Somebody whose name I recognised from the forum won $2.50 once, but I can't remember who.

Same thing, but with fewer steps: Clixsense > Payza > Bitcoin Debit card.

No, I got it online - Fiskars X27 Antishock Log Splitting Axe (XL). Guaranteed for 25 years, and nowhere does it say the guarantee is invalidated if you use it on skulls.

I still think we should just all get together for a fight to the death.

I've been itching to use my new axe. It's shiney, and orange!

It really shouldn't.

Speaking as a developer who relies on bug reports and feature requests, all ideas are bad. If you close triage, and don't allow for improvements to be made to the original suggestion, you've got a completely pointless forum. If you're locking the threads after the first post, you should delete the forum instead. If you don't allow ideas to be improved, you're just making the developer's life harder than it has to be for no reason, and he's better off with no suggestions at all.

1..............Increase membership , no T.O.S ,reason topic was closed , fight of 2 Mods,
that is wrong

2 ........Close forum, in feature requests , no T.O.S , closed and no info why
Some mods did not liked

1 was closed for personal attacks and fighting.

2 was closed because it wasn't a feature request, you're just sulking because of 1.

I like peanuts.

I don't know what the point of living would be without honey roasted peanuts.

Okay, enough now.

You can't complain that other people are nasty and smelly, and then be nasty and smelly yourself. Let it go. It's over.

Why have we got two threads nominating new moderators when nobody has actually asked for any new moderators?

Useless topic. Locked.

Create a poll with every user with over 100 posts, and ask users to vote on who should be the next moderator.

Then give the job to whoever gets the least votes, out of spite.

Is anyone here a programmer? » Post #7

I've said it a thousand times before, but I'll say it again

I wrote:There are no shortcuts. You learn to program the same way you learn anything else - take things apart, and put them back together. Find some software you like, some software you use. Join their support forum or mailing list, answer questions from newbies. When you can't answer a question, read the answers so you can answer it next time. Subscribe to the git RSS feed, and read every commit. You won't understand most of it at first, but if the commit notes are good, you'll pick it up as you go along. As you find minor bugs - typos, display issues, etc, fix them. Finding your way around the code is an important part of learning it. If you can't fix them, file GOOD bug reports - figure out how to reproduce it, that also helps you figure out the program flow, figure out where it's breaking, figure out what works, and what doesn't. If you can create a good bug report, you can sometimes even fix for something you didn't even understand at the start of the process. Keep this up for a couple of years and you'll be Lord High Fixer before you know it. It'll also give you a good git history to show employers, and handling support will earn you a good reputation with better developers who will, in turn, help you more.

Basically, you just have to get your hands dirty until you damn well can do it.

Also, you're twenty five times more likely to be bitten by a New Yorker than a shark.

A classic hidden in a mostly-forgettable album. The fat guy didn't perform this live anywhere near as much as it deserved.

If a post is worth a like, it's generally worth a comment, so it gets a comment instead.

Likes are reserved for the very few posts that deserve a comment, but when I can't think of anything to add.
