Lies on the Net about ClixSense and Members » Post #70

This thread is a good example of why the forum died.

ProTip: If you don't like listening to people saying bad words about you, don't go scouring the net the find people who say bad words about you.

Without internet or wifi, you're restricted to long range radio modems. Warwick Wireless X8200HP-VHF has a range of about 25km, but they don't come cheap - $500+. Cheaper options like RFID, LIRCD and Bluetooth aren't going to have the range you're talking about.

The Panasonic Nubo has built in LTE, so it avoids WiFi and Ethernet, but it's still internet...and again, they're not cheap. If you're going down the LTE route, a Raspberry Pi is going to be a lot cheaper - a zero will do it, with a cam module...though you'd need to figure out your own networking solution.

The Adafruit Electron Cellular IoT 2G Kit could also do it on a 2G network, but they have stupid low datapacks that you're not going to want to stream video over.

The Adafruit Electron Cellular IoT 3G Kit would be a better bet, but I've only ever seen European and American versions of those - I'm not sure if they do an Asian one, and the 3G kit really needs a regional variety.

Remember let make American great again

once again a few dumb people post nonsense. the problem for this guy is he is in Serbia! their currency is going to hell against everything in the world including the russian ruble.

thank goodness you guys have cs because you for sure wouldn't make it as finance advisors.

oh i should add if the dollar WAS collapsing, he would be making more as the exchange rate would be better as it would take less serbian dinars to make a dollar. however the opposite is true. since december he has lost about 14% of his currencies value.

Serbia doesn't use a dollar, they have the Dinar - which is significantly up against the dollar, as is, for example, the Euro.

If you're going to be completely wrong about everything, it's a good idea not to insist everyone else is an idiot first.

Do you still use Bitcoin dice sites today?

Don't waste your bloody time on gambling sites online with PerfectMoney or BTC, these sites are rigged. Many will claim that they are truly random but they aren't. There is one PM casino that claims is legit because they provide md5 hash for pre-generated results, but even with md5 hash, they can still program the system to detect patterns of play and adapt - so results are pre-generated before you play, BUT it learns your play so eventually you will lose big, which is why you should not rely on even those md5 sites.

Also should never gamble even on legit sites as with house edge and statistics, eventually you will lose your money - that's how casinos make their living - churn bets! even with extremely high payout % and low house edge.

As far as BTC, no surprise. I think there will eventually be a next big crash. Welcome to the world of investment - some people strategically wait for market to go down and buy low, sell high and re-invest only a % of the profits, keeping the original capital safe.

Back in the days BTC was low 2 digit, I almost purchased few thousands worth :( Instead I made stupid mistake to invest in GeniusFunds, one of the many large scale HYIP scams and lost $$$....I came close to investing this in BTC, I would be a million $ richer now.

You, sir, do not understand cryptography.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again, love is a chemically induced state invented by evolution by means of natural selection because your species is entirely incapable of forming a symbiotic relationship with another living creature without first being drugged.

One day, and relatively soon, we'll die, and all this will be over. Our lives will have been for nought, our bodies will turn to dust, and in a matter of a few short years, nobody will even remember our names, nevermind our clicks.

What is PTC compared to the inexorable march towards oblivion? What's the point of living at all?

You can't keep your money in an exchange or online wallet right now and have any guarantee of safety. There isn't really going to be a fork, that's just personality politics and dick waving...but it's personality politics and dick waving that might last a few months with a pretend fork living on for a bit, so you really need to keep your money in a wallet you actually own. You control the actual keys.

Two ways you can do that - you withdraw your bitcoin, or you trade your bitcoin for fiat. Everyone is withdrawing one way or another.

Now is a good time to buy bitcoin - but only for a long term investor. A short term investor - a 'trader' - knows it's going to carry on falling in the short term, so sellers are outnumbering buyers.

You've got a reverse bubble caused not by the actual value of bitcoin, but by the ownership of private keys.

The forum died months ago, that much is true...but there are seventeen million threads on exactly the same topic. Of course they're going to be locked. It's basic netiquette to use an existing topic, what else do you expect?

If we're losing PTC, can we at least have auto-playing audio embedded randomly into various pages that says "Hi, I'm Mike, remember me?"

There were approximately thirty eight million threads about PayPal, and at least three login announcements.

The only possible way you couldn't have known about this is if you closed them all without reading them, in which case, no amount of updating the documentation will help anyway - because they already did that, and you didn't read it.

Dogecoin is actually really good at what it does. It's an excellent replacement for Flattr, or Patreon.

But it's fiat. Basically, anyway.

It's circulation is controlled by the developers - essentially it's government. A fiat currency is backed by the government, but only in a hypothetical sense. Look at, eg, Greece for what happens when the government actually has to back it's currency - it can't.

So for every day purposes, Dogecoin is a fiat currency. Bitcoin is a commodity.

One has scarcity and will rise in value. One has liquidity and will not.

You do know Dogecoin is not an inflationary coin, right? I mean, you have conducted rudimentary research into your investment, and discovered that it cannot, even in principle, gain significantly in value in the fullness of time, right?

SURVEYS - Could we get an incentive for our time? » Post #25

I've applied to the same company no less than nine times in the last twelve months. My cunning plan is to acquire a job I'm not qualified for, and then get promoted to one I am qualified for. So far, it hasn't worked, but I definitely think they should financially reward my tenacity.

One site I am a member of pays you for trying. They give you a "spin a wheel" thing, where you can win a prize of a penny or two, or a similar sized bonus, that you can only claim on your next completed survey. Of course, it's rigged, and your chances of winning a prize are related to the number of surveys you successfully complete, so they're paying well under 1p for every attempt.

You know how they pay for it?

They pay £1.33 - about $1.70 - for the same survey that Clixsense pays $5.80 for.

That's the actual reality.

Okay, let's say you get three surveys a day on average.

There are 7.8 million Clixsense members, and they each get 1 cent if they don't qualify.

Where do you find this extra one million six hundred and thirty eight thousand dollars every week?

I still use dial up, but only for FidoNet.

It's not really a viable option these days...most webpages are bigger than most videos we used to download in the olden days. Twenty million random bits of javascript are included on every page, just for fun, and there's another dozen included because they're actually needed. Then everyone has a photographic background these days of a high res image which can - sometimes literally - take an hour to download over dialup.

Your high speed internet is probably faster than you think it is, it just doesn't feel like it because the internet turned into a bloaty piece of crap over the last fifteen years. You will notice it when you go back.

I used to mine in the olden days. Back when a faucet paid 0.01 to 0.1 bitcoin every hour.

Sold it when the price hit $100....
