When my sister was young, we came up with a cunning plan. I was going to sell her on ebay, then she was going to climb out the window, and walk home. And then we'd sell her again, and we'd keep doing it until we were millionaires.

We never actually did it, mind you - they have rules against that sort of thing.

simple as that.

You have the advantage of having something worth fighting for.

I've missed it four times in the last two weeks and I'm in a country that gets way more offers than you. It sucks for everyone sometimes.

When I first considered having a midlife crisis four or five years ago, somebody pointed out that if I waited until I was 90, I'd get to live to 180.

I've been very vulnerable for a lot of my life. There are two ways you can travel - you can be rich, or you can decide not to fear homelessness, or often worse, the very rough housing estates you end up in afterwards.

If you want to survive when you're vulnerable, you simply have to appear non-vulnerable.

When I need them to be, everybody is scared of me - but I've never even raised my voice at anyone, nevermind a fist, or an axe. i'm not just being facetious here - sometimes, you just have to appear more intimidating to your neighbours than they do to you.

You may have heard me speak, in the forum, of axes, and crossbows, and such things.

The truth is, I'd never really use them, not until the apocalypse comes anyway - but as long as people think I will....

Just something to consider.

This happened to me many years ago, and that was the last time I ever used Windows. Maybe Microsoft is trying to tell you something?

Or slightly more helpfully, if you've got the recovery disk, and do all the repair crap, it'll break Grub - but you can install Grub to the real filesystem from a LiveCD.

That's a bit mild.

One would suggest something more along the lines of And to think, that this only possible thanks to your democratically elected government's intelligence agencies whose very job is to protect you from this kind of thing in the first place.

Nah, it was admitted, though possibly you needed to read the actual threads. I don't recall the content of any particular announcement.

It was definitely revealed though. I know, because it was me who first revealed it.

Can you imagine being Justin Beiber's mother? Donald Trump's wife? Jimmy Saville's niece?

Whether your family should be honoured depends entirely on who your family is.

95% of US elections are bought. By far the biggest predictor of who will win is which candidate spent the most money.

If Hitler came back from the dead and said he wanted to bring back the Third Reich, and had a budget of $10,000,000, and Jesus came back from the dead, and said he wanted to make Earth an official annex of Heaven, but had a budget of $5,000,000, Hitler would win.

There may be a language barrier here, I was joking...just flipping the expectation of who (patient/carer) would suffer the indignity.

Or maybe there wasn't a language barrier. It's 11:20am and I haven't been to bed yet, maybe I'm just overtired and it just wasn't funny.

Yes, But if the brain goes to long without oxygen it will cause severe brain damage.

20 min is a very long time, And will almost certainly cause very serious damage to your brain, So is it worth it :?:

Yes. It's definitely worth it.

If I am ever in a vegetative state, I definitely want somebody to face the indignity of having to look after me. I don't really care who, but if I have a choice between dying, and being in a vegetative state, I don't see why anybody else should be having a good time either.

Hope? What's the use of hope?

Hope is a feel good story for people who haven't figured out how the world works yet.

When there is nothing left to lose - not even hope - that's when you can actually make the difference. When the hope dies, the energy comes back (after a while - it does take months)...generally it comes back in the form of bile, and hatred, anger, and rage, which can be dangerous, but all you have to do is ride the wave, let the beast win, let it takeover...and just cling to enough control, enough of your sanity to nudge the beast towards working in the direction you want to end up in.
