ClixGrid What are the odds of winning? » Post #5

Mon Mar 02, 2015 14:10 in General Talk

You can go months without winning, and then win three times in a week. That's how luck works, and why people throw away thousands in the casino following flawed Martingale systems based on misunderstanding of statistics.

The long term average payout seems to be around 0.04c per click. Mine is presently 0.03c and a bit. This is more than people seem to think it is.

Don't take my word for it, calculate it yourself. Plenty of people have posted their stats. Add up all the prizes, divide by all the clicks. YMMV depending on whose stats you use, and how many you use before you get bored, but I bet you'll be in the same ballpark.

Is it worth it to upgrade? » Post #9

Quote:Thanks, can you tell me specifically how you make more, besides the referral bonuses?

You get 4 one cent ads per day (which almost pays for the upgrade itself).

You also get an additional 9% in the daily checklist bonus. You do have to complete it every day or you'll get 14% instead of 16% - since completing it two or more days in a row gives you the extra 2% - but I haven't failed to complete it since the extra 2% bonus was brought in...though it has, on occasion, required some very annoying tasks on slow days.

So basically, for every $1 you earn, you get an extra 7c for free if you're a free member. If you're an upgraded member, you get 16c. Those 16c's add up, and add up quickly.

With this bonus, Clixsense pays more for the tasks than any other provider, (with the possible exception of one that pays in GBP which is a gamble because of the exchange rate).

The only reason not to upgrade is if you can't complete the checklist regularly. You only need to earn $188 a year, and you've got your money back just with the extra 9% of the bonus.

It's quite out of character for me to speak highly of a company, so lets add some negatives for balance. As an upgraded member, you can still do Matomy offers. This is awful. If they added "remove Matomy from the offer wall", you'd have even better value. Similarly, being an upgraded member does no exempt you from surveys from Halls & Partner. They do still spring up. In both cases, you can still close the page, though.

Yes, yes, yes, and a thousand more times yes.

Been doing this since the 90's, and Clixsense is only the second time I've purchased an upgrade and renewed it religiously. I typically make my money back in a couple of weeks. (Caveat - mine expires in the Christmas build up when it's a bit busier, but it still stands as a point of principle - it doesn't take long).

Assuming the flag is right, you're in the US, so you can meet your checklist bonus even more easily.

That's like complaining we're bulldozing the Louvre by teaching French in school. Don't be so isolationist.

Can U Please Tell About Premium Account Experience » Post #7

If you don't have a premium account, there are two possibilities:

a) You're an idiot. Get one.
b) You live in a country that can't completely the check list regularly, in which case, get some referrals, and then get one.

Money online is easy. You're not going to get rich promoting somebody else's business. That's not to say Clixsense doesn't have it's place - it most certainly does - but that's not where you make your money.

I use Clixsense to pay for the domain, SSL, and hosting costs of my real business. That's what Clixsense is good for - it takes the pressure away, especially in the first few months when you're struggling to break even.

No, to make real money, you need your own business. Spend your hour a day clicking your fixed ads and doing your couple of surveys or tasks. Then stop.

Don't go to hundreds of other sites clicking links for 0.0001c. Instead, spend that time learning a bit of PHP.

This is where people fail. Don't tell me it's too hard for you, you're no developer, you can't do it. Think about it. when you say those things, what you're really saying is "Every sweaty, basement dwelling teenager with a website is smarter than me!" If you really think that, then, well, give up now. If you don't, then just learn PHP.

Six months time, you'll find you have the ability to write any web service you like - probably not from scratch, but there's plenty of open source stuff out there, so you don't need to write it from scratch.

If you've been keeping to your hour a day with a couple of surveys and daily ads at Clixsense, you've also got the money to bankroll the first few months.

Welcome to online self-employment. It really is that easy.

CMS that generates page upon registration » Post #3

The Red Matrix. It would take about 45 seconds to create a dynamic page that generated the links on the fly, or maybe three minutes if you really insisted on a static page.

Hell, you don't even need your own members if you use The Red Matrix. Anyone in the network is part of your userbase.

Don't ever do that. That's how you make people want to stab you.

Use the browser language.

Konqueror, Uzbl and/or Iceweasel.

Not even a dent in the stats...probably because my useragent lies.
