Survey completed but award not given, why? » Post #2

Fri Aug 31, 2012 02:25 in Hindi

Many people are reporting tracking errors. Must be some fault at the survey company's end. But don't worry about it.
You need to open a Helpdesk ticket so that ClixSense can check with OpinionSurveys and credit your account manually.
Sometimes due to tracking error, the confirmation is not sent automatically.

I tried on FF 15 but I have to focus on the ads. Nothing has changed for me :roll:

If that was the case, the forum would be full of junk, spam and senseless posts.

@rhernanadez

Just read that part very carefully again :

Quote:In an effort to ensure the integrity of the ClixSense advertising program, the persons in any of the following categories are NOT eligible to participate in the ClixSense program in the capacity of ad viewer: (a) persons who are employees or agents of ClixSense, or its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, or service agencies, or independent contractors of any of the above organizations; and (b) persons who are immediate family (defined as mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son or spouse) of any person in any of the preceding categories, regardless of where they live. Nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit a person’s right to maintain a ClixSense account for advertising purposes nor does this policy restrict the promotion of a person’s affiliate link.

I am just pointing out whats mentioned on the site. I would suggest you explain your situation through the Helpdesk. ClixSense is very co-operative and they will surely have a solution.

But right now that page is outdated. So I am kind of lost where to install the toolbar from.

I just did a clean install of Mountain Lion about an hour back.
With all the junk and crap gone, now my system is flying :)

But, I can't seem to install the ClixSense toolbar.
Tried these 2 links but one of them is completely outdated and the other one has a Windows installer.

Good, atleast you got them.
I never qualify for any of their surveys.

Only survey I qualify for is SSI. And in the past 8 days, I've completed 4 of them.
Keep checking them multiple times daily and you might get lucky to have a survey.

Apart from being subscribed to the News and Updates forum and reading the Weekly email, you should make sure you read all the Announcements.
They appear mostly just once as a pop-up but in case you miss it, you can always access it through the "Announcements" in the drop down menu when you hover your mouse over Helpdesk at the top of the page.

I would also suggest you follow all forum posts made by the Admin, jasm78 and Joe_G through the RSS feed. In that way you will always be updated on any small but important explanation.

Ad credits are ad packs that you purchase to advertise your website, product or service to our members. They are NOT used for you to see more ads and you do not make money off purchasing ad credits.

You can refer to the advertising FAQ here for more information on how you can use ad credits to advertise - ClixSense Help Center

Not sure but maybe Tumblr would be fine for PTC blogs. Its totally free just like Blogger.
I checked Tumblr's Terms and there is nothing written about affiliate links or paid-to-click/pay-per-click sites.

Blogger, Wordpress, Weebly - all three don't allow PTC content. They will delete such blogs any time without any notice.

Microsoft Live should be fine. Not sure though.
The best solution would be to have your own domain name and web-space which will give you full control over your site/blog.

How to make free Blog? » Post #11

For those using the Free Wordpress Blogging platform for PTC blogs.
On the free blogging platform from Wordpress, everything is hosted on Wordpress. So you are using their resources so you will have to abide by whatever rules they set. From what I have seen is that they block URLs to Paid-to-click sites even if you enter the correct HTML codes. The links will instead direct you to : Affiliate Links — Support — WordPress.com

Here are a few terms on that page.
Quote:WordPress.com does not permit the use of many affiliate links in blog content.
We define affiliate links as:
  1. Links to external services and vendors that include a unique identifier within the link destination to tie the link to your account. Personalized storefronts for services that use multi-level marketing or commission payout methods.
  2. Links to file sharing services or link redirectors that give you “credits” or payment when visitors click on the links or download the files.
  3. Links to pay-per-click services.

When WordPress.com encounters these links on your blog, we automatically take action based on the type of link detected. WordPress.com may:
  1. Change the destination URLs of these links to this page;
  2. Issue a warning to the blog owner requesting that these links no longer be posted; or;
  3. Suspend the blog in question.

So in simple words, even Wordpress is not safe for PTC blogs. To use Wordpress, you will need to have your own domain AND web-space. And my suggestion would be NOT to purchase it from Wordpress. Get it from any web-hosting reseller and simply install Wordpress on your webspace. Then you have no fear of your blog being deleted because you are in control of everything on your blog.
