RRR - WOW! » Post #4

A series I watched and liked is 1899 on Netflix.

Yes, I loved it too. But unfortunately 1899 will not be renewed for a 2nd and 3rd season. Eventhough debuting at the end of 2022 to very positive reviews and it has a place on the streamer’s top 10 list. Strange.

Ok, until a while ago the chinese government had a zero covid policy with lockdowns and what you have it. Seeing the world opened up the population grew tired of all this and took it to the streets. Seemingly under pressure the government gave in and rolled back many of its tough pandemic restrictions earlier this month, allowing the virus to spread rapidly in the country.
And now Chinese authorities decided to let people travel more freely from 8 January 2023, after almost three years of largely closed borders.
China has been accused of not being forthcoming about the virus since it first surfaced in the country in late 2019. There is a worry that it may not be sharing data now on any signs of evolving strains that could spark fresh outbreaks.
The surge in infections and a lack of information, including genomic sequencing of the virus strains in the country is utmost worrisome.
I read that there was a plane form china landing in Milan Italy where almost half of the chinese passengers were infected.
What are they up to overthere??? Total disrespect for the rest of the world in my opinion.

Merry christmas » Post #5

Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays whatever you want to call them. This time of year one always hopes and prays for a better world, peace on earth, a better future for mankind and more blablabla. However, this is not what mankind is after and longing for.
Better to focus on oneself and not promise or try to be a better person but become one.

Please note ... this post is sugarcoated and nicely wrapped to hide real meaning

Yeah message understood :D , those figures who take to the streets suffer from a syndrome or disorder. This disease knows no cure. It manifests itself through loud incoherent screaming, disoriented marching up and down a great sense of denial and extensive praying for intervention. I.o.w they are deplorables but not to be pitied.

Yes Tasman that is the way to go :D :D Nicely wrapped. Use diplomatic language and the reader when familiar with the topic understands the message. You could even use Morse Code but that only still is in use in North Korea.

On a ping pong like journey across eastern Australia, 70-year-old Tasmanian woman Charmaine Smigielski said she had a 35 hour trip from hell.
A flight from Launceston in Tasmania to Sydney should take 90 minutes, but in the time it took the woman to touch down, she could've flown to London and then to New York.

I had a half sister that was brilliant in regards to IQ and school. I single her out but I have known very people with her ability. My first husband was like that too. Hand them a book, they'd read it once and remember almost every word. Never brought books home to study. Read it once, see it once, remember it forever.

So what's the problem?

I'm not sure.

There IS a problem there.

Student nurses for example. They graduate and take their State exam to be licensed. Even after they pass, they may know what they read and studied for the exam but how well do they PERFORM at what they retained?

Therefore, a person may retain information but lack performing it. The opposite is also very true. A person may have the ability to perform a task but not retain it.

Exactly when people pass their drivers exam that doesn´t make them good drivers otherwise who is at fault of those thousands of yearly traffic deaths.

I remember when I was young and had to take oral foreign language exams we were obliged to read a bunch of books. I remember that I only read a few chapters of a certain book and when the exam started and was asked which books I had read, I gave the name of the author and the title of the book (I had read a few chapters) and started talking about it and gave the teachers no chance to ask any further questions about any more books or anything else. I passed with an A. The meaning of the exam was the verbal test and not the knowledge of the books.I took the logical and practical approach.Companies love to over complicate things

Ironic isn't it, same shit here - YET you hear so many stories of people who dropped from school and currently making millions of $. Larry King did not go past high school and had a net worth of $50 million, it's not always about the diploma, though I know a lot of people who have finished University, and not been able to find decent jobs or any job, and I know MORE people who have not gone past high school and succeeded far more than any of the people with high academics that I know - it's all about luck, right connections, skill and talent - and not applying for stuck up f*cks who only look at a piece of paper.

Nowadays it is not only how knowledgeable you are in a specific area or at a certain disicpline. Education is of course essencial but companies look for beside skills, expertise and certification, for character traits, like passion, self awareness, to live up to expectations, good work/life balance and a desire to learn and grow. Ask Musk he knows all about it

Tasman, when talking about politics one has to walk the thin blue line and wrap in the message carefully in an acceptable way not to expressive. You are most of the time too expressive.

Yeah that is me but...
How to Teach an Old Dog New Tricks ?
At 69 it is not going to work for me

Life is a learning process it does not stop one should always be open to learn something new or be open to change or correct behavior.

No no no no , I do not wish and will NOT change my behavior
And what behavior is correct behavior ? In my opinion my behavior is correct behavior , rest of the world must change behavior not me , why I must change how it suits rest ?

No more learning , no changes , no new world , no new law

b.t.w. kindergarten told me I am a bit old to start kindergarten at this age

As to Brazil and speaking of music, there is this definitely paranormal guy who plays the piano, he has a youtube channel, he is beyond this world, he does some crazy AMAZING and accurate playing, and fast too, he puts to shame even the best of piano players and teachers, I forgot his name, it's that guy who always stares at the camera and raises his finger, then plays, funny guy too, so apparently you also have good musicians.

Darkstar the only artist what comes to mind is Fabricio Di Paolo, professional name "Lord Vinheteiro". About skeletons in the closet!!!! I think it would be a good idea to build an extra wing (annex) to the infamous "Bangu" prison here in Rio de Janeiro to house their future guests.

Yes Arvind, I agree Larissa plays the guitar very well, but Anitta is at the moment the Brazlian currency and voice at home and abroad. Anitta is also very outspoken when it comes down to our present but departing government. The music style of the far right here is terrible rural hillbilly music.

Well, the American wave here did set in, that is that this government is following the Trump playbook and there are quiet a few election result deniers. Hillary Clinton would call them "deplorables" I can´t agree more. But there is no turning back. Social media is for many their source of news so you can imagine the level of stupidity and fake news going around. They would even like to see a militairy intervention but all in vain. Let´s turn the page and hope and work for better times.I sleep well in the dark thank you.

Today got big , huge surprise , they are sending me FREE 4 cartons to say Thank You , WOW this is value over 1200.00
Cheapest carton [ 200 cigarettes is above 300.00 in Australia ]
Maybe can stop surveys now for a year :D :D

It will be nice to have same bonus here :D :D :D

I´m not going to use the cliché if someone should smoke or not but the exchange rate 1 AUS dollar (0.64) to US dollar, makes smoking sounds like a costly affair. Here in Brazil one can still smoke like a chimney for about $18 US a carton.
