Time Changed » Post #3

valerie wrote: The time changed today. I am so tired of time change. It is so dumb.

Now it will be dark at 5pm.

The shortest day is December 21, so you will have to be patient until then, after which, the days will progressively get longer and longer again  Yes I've been saying this for a long time, I hate the damn time change, We live in an era of change, where the only thing we cannot change yet is our date of birth :P TIME is definitely one thing we should not change (among many other things too :D )

Some people were suggesting we stay at DST time, but the result would be that it would be dark for longer in the morning, meaning people would go to work in the darkness (is that so bad ???? Nope, it's just that you would wake up in the dark, drive to work in the dark....I think it's cool !) AND if you stay at the normal time (non DST), in the SUMMER less day light, so people cannot have it both ways - so in my opinion the best thing is to keep time unchanged, so non DST time (normal time). It is a pain in the arse to have to deal with this every bloody year ....

SO ladies and gent, here comes my brilliant idea to make everyone happy, introducing FlexTime, Standard TIme until 9AM in the morning, followed by DST time from 9:01AM to 9PM. It creates a good balance for those who do not want more darkness in the morning and those who want more day light in the afternoon.

Agree with that 100%,,, My opinion , USA will buy that Zombie fish from Japan just to help ally Japan , they will mince that fish and give it as food to American fish , they will earn billions selling that under banner ... Fresh , healthy American fish

No joke, that is the truth, the USA has always done what's best for its own greedy, self serving money interest above the interest of what's better for the people (the idiots who vote on election day). and the few politicians who did what's best, were cast out and betrayed, so yeah they would do that of course, no problem for high cancer rates, it would only make the big pharmas more happy, and we all know how the politicians have those markets in their deep pockets.

Well not only USA, but Canada, same shit here, it's a thing in North America.....except that we in Canada have NEVER had a PM that served his people, it's only corrupt, inept, ridden in scandals and self serving corporate greedy c**ts.

It's that time of year again where people wear costumes, watch horror movies (on top of the real life horror). It's that time of year where your kids go and acquire a few cavities and tainted candy. It's that time of the year where you get out your pumpkin pies you were stashing in the freezer..........

So what are you doing this year, anything special for halloween ?

For me, it is going to be a regular day like all other days of horror

The ban may not be such a bad thing - who wants to eat radioactive fish - on the other hand, who wants to eat fish swimming in ponds of shite and carrying dangerous, deadly bacteria. There are types of fish people should never eat, and should be banned all over the world. Japan has some very dangerous, poisonous fish unless you are a master trained chef that handles the fish with perfection, but can make some mistakes, and if they do, the person eating it will die within seconds. As to economic wars, that war started in 2020, with the start of COVID19  it's called Inflation !!!

What do you get for $800 per night in the U.S. ? » Post #1

Mon Oct 30, 2023 11:15 in General Talk

You have lots of money and do not know what to do with it - you decide to take a vacation and choose one of many hotels out there - you find one for $800 a night, not bad, good deal, so you say to yourself, what can go wrong, at that price I will be treated like a king ............ well, a couple had a shocking surprise, for that price they received some "amenities" that were not disclosed in any brochure.

So what do you expect for $800 a day, clean room, clean sheets, free drinks, free beverages, free snack, free fruit basket, free chocolate ???? WELL you expect the minimums at least, like clean drinking water - WELL that's too much to ask today.

I'll spare you the whole story, read the article here:
https://www.ktvu.com/news/sf-area-ritz-carlton-sued-after-employee-allegedly-ejaculates-into-water-bottle-serves-guest

This happens in America folks, where you do not expect these things to happen - and in a 5 star resort where you never expect stuff like that to happen - so one woman asked for a simple thing, she was thirsty and needed some more water, so she called staff to get some more bottles of water, but she got more than she bargained for, she got tainted water in a bottle. As she began to drink the water she notice the off taste, complained and had the water analysed to finally find out that someone had blown their load into her water - even more disturbing is the hotel chain refusing to cooperate with authorities, refusing to hand over evidence, effectively stalling the investigation, so I guess you can say they didn't come through (well only in the water  )

No my question is - how the bloody hell does something like that happen, aren't bottles supposed to be sealed ?

So the customer in this case wasn't having it (or swallowing it ? :P) she is now filing a lawsuit against that hotel chain and rightfully so - You don't expect this kind of shit in a cheap 1 star hotel, why would it happen in a 5 star hotel ? Finding out who did it is very easy - a DNA sample and cross referencing, but the hotel refuses to cooperate......

In 3rd world countries they have better control over the foods and beverages in resorts, it's disgusting that on this side of the world, such things happen. who knows what else this guy came in - water, food, etc, what a sick ***t :D

People do not go on a mass shooting spree of people they don't even know, for no reason at all. His reason, he was nuts. In fact, many of the mass shooters are mentally deranged. It doesn't mean they are not guilty.

The problem in the USA is not guns. We've always had guns in this country.

Tell that to Biden, the issue is not guns, if you remove guns from people, they will use the millions of other objects. As to people not going on mass shootings for no reason, well, I'd say some do, just because they are EVIL and like the feeling of a power trip of having control over people and harming, it's like rape, but with weapons and on a larger scale. People with mental problems need to be watched and contained - you cannot let people with known mental issues loose in society and give them a free pass on the basis they are F'n nuts ! I'm losing my damn mind myself, just by reading these stories daily in the news, how can people be so evil and go around shooting - it's very easy (and lawyers love this) to hide behind the veil of mental incapacity - well when someone comes to a point they are MURDERING 22 people and wounding dozens of others, they have to suffer consequences....people like that should NEVER be free in society and given life time sentences in prisons where they can shoot one another and kill each other there, behind closed doors ! Some might say, well those who have mental issues should avoid jail but be locked in an Asylum, but I think they would be better off in prison than in an Asylum, where they will be treated by people with bigger issues than them, and given POISONS they call drugs, that most often make you more violent and more paranoid and even suicidal - I would not wish anybody to end up in an Asylum, in a straight jacket or having to be subject to take dozens of meds daily forced down your mouth whilst wardens watch you swallow that shit - we cannot give free passes to people like that, they are well beyond help, they cannot be reformed and change, they are a DANGER to themselves and others and will remain like that for the rest of their entire bloody life and so they need to be set aside from society, FOR LIFE !!!! because people like that are dangerous criminals and they are narcissistic.......So who can we blame for this mass murder spree, Robert Card or the damn IDIOTS that knew he was unstable, dangerous and let him out, some heads should turn here, some morons took the decision to release a dangerous guy into the public, these politicians or whatever are in my opinion CRIMINALLY responsible, and deserve a LIFE TIME sentence in prison with no parole.

BUT WAIT, Asylums are overloaded, there cannot be room for everyone, so let's throw some random darts on the wall and randomly let some go, to make room......... this is what's happening. What we need is a political party with a solid pair of F****** bollocks to make the unpopular decisions that get results - Sounds familiar ? :P But Americans (and Canadians) do not like unpopular, they like politicians who bullshit and don't do shit, and don't get any damn results, I guess North Americans LOVE to give out their money to politicians who do EVERYTHING but serve the interest of the idiots who put their sorry arse into power

valerie wrote: Yeah, he had mental issues. The army or whatever branch he was in, put him in a mental hospital.
At some point he got out.

I don't give two Fs, the mental issues excuse is overly used, he was definitely fit for trial and KNEW what he was doing, knew how to handle a semi-automatic - he was out to kill and mass kill, he knew how to survive, evade, get by on his own and escape, he was not mentally incapacitated as much as other people in different cases, he was a paranoid type who thought everyone was talking about him, like I said, we all have our issues, and fortunately we do not go around settling scores with murder. He was found dead, good bloody riddance, the coward died and went off easy tough, he did leave a suicide note (according to the news article) so yeah this is proof enough he KNEW what he was doing. Some people do the crime and are not aware, and they get away with it, but this time, this guy, he was fully aware of his actions and consequences. Now the population of Lewiston can sleep at night knowing the mass shooter is no more, but sadly in America, cases like these are common. and what makes me angry is your President who pretends to give a F***, I mean it's not his stupid gun control and 3D printer laws that will magically erase gun violence crime - I mean the criminal world is wide, if a person needs a gun they WILL get it by any means, these laws would not cause any change in the criminal world, and most of these guns are printed or acquired off shore, outside any of the laws.

Some President, ruined economy, ruined market, ruined cost of living, unrest, monstrous increase of gun violence, that's how everyone will remember his term - and to think that the guy even hopes for a 2nd term, he's out of his mind ! and if he comes through for a 2nd term, that will say a lot about voters too :P

I am watching the 24 series all seasons, binge watching, it's funny when I watch those seasons how the government is made to be capable of handling even the toughest situation - compared to what is going on in real life today where they have a hard time containing and catching own criminals. Pathetic.

Let's see now - DESTROYED markets selling off into depression, inflation that is sticky, war and unrest, not a good thing for a President looking for a 2nd term - then you have that other contender swimming into trials and convictions, and other contenders absolutely horrendous - so there is no more hope anymore - the only way out was in 2020, but people made the wrong decision and got lured into lies and hot bullshit - there is no going back - the stock markets will plummet at lest 25% more between now and Q2 of 2024, sine bloody 2021, the market has yielded negative returns, how the bloody f*ck are people supposed to make money - there is n more profits to be made in stocks no more - the only guaranteed income now are CDs, it's pathetic.

It'll cost your neighbour at least $5k because his roof is bigger :D Well it's not your fault, and when he fixes his roof they will come back looking for other holes in your house, make sure all holes are patched - not all holes can be patched, remember your roof must be vented, then you have poop pipe vent, and a chimney if you have one, God forbid if they come down the chimney and into your home :D

Never , they will not come back but if they come back I will connect my roof to electricity [ my roof is zincalume - combination of zinc and aluminium ] plus can place a bit of TNT on my roof , just in case

How long will it take to find him, well apparently he is smart, Army, knows survival skills and is likely able to find shelter and evade, who knows if he will leave - I'm pretty sure he will be welcomed with open arms in Mexico, he would do well over there :D Good, he would save tax payers a big expensive trial, where is likely to get away with it on the cover of mental issues.

The guy knew what he was doing and is fit for trial in my opinion.

and if this guy gets a death sentence, he will get to choose what he eats for his last meal, (not in all states now), when millions of people are homeless and have nothing to eat!

The fact this guy served to protected makes even harder - what a monstrous DISGRACE he is, I'm pretty sure there is far more like him - can we blame these people or blame the government for creating such monsters because of what they go through in their line of duty - sure those politicians are crooked and corrupt to the bone, but they don't go around with guns killing people - because dead people cannot pay taxes :D

valerie wrote: Yep, someone just murdered 16 people in Maine. More injured.

People have gone totally insane.

A DISGRACE to the country, a US Army reservist - actually he murdered 18, and that P.O.S. is on the run, how did he not get caught - then you have his sister talking all nice about him, oh he's a nice guy, etc, it's funny how people talk about terrorism, radicalism etc, but America has a bigger problem of gun violence and crime WITHIN - there are shootings that kill innocent peoples on a daily basis now in America, and most are not even gang related, like here in Canada, and random shootings at it. So let's do the math - radical terrorism vs. local mass violence, there is a clear winner here, and some SFB politician who pretends to give two shits about it - as if gun laws will do anything to stop this violence, as if people have no means to get those guns anyway - today with 3D printers you can literally print one and buy the ammo at your local Walmart :P Europe is unsafe and full of radical violence, America is full of local mass violence - Canada is full of gang related crimes and daily gun violence.

Can't even feel safe in your own F'n country now, wherever you go, and that area of Mane was said to be peaceful and very low in crime too. Imagine you are at a night out bowling with your friends, when all of a sudden you see them shot before your eyes.

This guy deserves several lifetime sentences or death penalty, which would be preferred, because when they get life sentences, it is the tax payers who are paying for it. Not even a regular person but ARMY, what a ********d disgrace, traitor and mass criminal - he should be treated no different than a TERRORIST ! But given the justice, he will get away with it, plead insanity, go in some asylum, escape, be let out, like the rest, and commit more crimes.

I think it is a good time now for America to declare Martial Law - in Canada it would be a good thing, people don't feel safe anymore, even from locals !!!!

I cannot believe they ousted McCarthy - he saved America from bankruptcy and a shutdown, putting the interest of the country first before his own, which is extremely rare for a politician nowadays, and for doing the right thing he gets ousted, how disgusting ! No doubt in my mind that we should expect 4 more years of turmoil and world unrest (fireworks) Inflation is going up, poverty is going up, world population is going up, people are hungry, there is not enough affordable housing to shelter everyone, there is not enough jobs for everyone, diseases are going up, let's not sugar coat anything, things are not going to get better anytime soon, whoever created this COVID virus in a lab, he succeeded, it was a virus not meant to kill, with only a 3-4% mortality, but to cause chaos in the world economy and stability - what are the odds that we will get a "3rd" fireworks show, odds are growing bigger and bigger.
