Notice the word 'likely'. They don't know what it was.

On March 2, four planets – Venus, Jupiter, Mars, and Uranus – will align in the sky. Start your observations as soon as it gets dark. Near the horizon, you’ll see two bright star-like objects – these are Venus (magnitude -3.9) and Jupiter (magnitude -2.1). The planets will be located in the constellation Pisces, half a degree apart. Mars, with a magnitude of 0.5, will be shining red in the constellation Taurus. Using a pair of binoculars, you’ll spot Uranus (magnitude 5.8) in the constellation Aries.

Although March 2 is the best day for observation, the alignment will be visible several days before and after that date. Now we’ll guide you on identifying the planets in the sky with the help of the astronomy app Sky Tonight.

Yes but they would not look like what Valerie has described the planet will look like a star in the evening sky

valerie wrote: I have taken pictures. There is two UFO's sitting in the sky. With my binoculars I can see some red and ocassionaly some blue. Then at one point one of them seemed to split apart but then it looked like more things coming off it or out of it.

Maybe you will see something too.

I believe you meant "sightings" and "are", I tried looking for UFO news through official non-fake news outlet and I see nothing mentioned - not even on the fake news outlets, so do you have photos to share ?
Are you high ? :D The best advice I can give you, stay indoors, keep your windows closed, shut the blinds or curtains and stay far from doorways and windows, hide in some safe places far from windows where they can shine their strong light and aim in on their target for abduction / extraction purposes, and you'll be safe! What you are seeing could also be drones, not uncommon for people to have those nowadays, you can even install RGB leds, so yeah what you saw is by definition a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) but not in the sense of "aliens" type UFO. Maybe some bloke bored out of their damn mind playing with drones, OR some government experiment I guess, nowadays we have technology to project high definition images, so it would be easy to just project images on clouds , but just to be safe don't make eye contact, some people make it back after abductions, some don't

When I first saw this topic title I knew it was Tasman1 - was actually surprised to see it was your topic, so yeah technically anytime you see something in the sky that is of unknown origin, it is a UFO by definition, odds that it comes from an alien source are so slim to none, if there are aliens and intelligent species out there, I'm pretty sure they will stay far FAR away from this planet, and if anything aliens would not make it so obvious as to attract attention, they could already be among us disguised as humans, in fact I'm pretty sure they are - you think humans invented all this modern technology on their own ? :P

Ideal age for retirement » Post #12

valerie wrote: I come across people all the time that is in their late 70's that are not retired and still work. They have no intention of ever retiring because they enjoy the work they do.

Oh yeah like what jobs do they have, farming ? Because nowadays it's hard to imagine anybody that enjoy their jobs, statistically most people despise their jobs.

Quote:
The thing is, people don't live long. Any way you look at it, death is always around the corner and with each passing day, it gets closer to plain sight. So if you are concerned about getting as much as you can from your retirement by waiting as long as you can, I am here to tell you, START NOW preparing for retirement so that you can retire immediately when qualified to do so..

Seriously, it doesn't take a mathematician to figure it out. The longer you wait, the sooner you age and the more you age, the less time you have to spend the money.

Right, the moment you are born, you are dying slowly, it's true that people should NOT WAIT until they get old to so-called ENJOY life, and assume they will be able to, people need to enjoy life before, and create a good balance between their ****ing career and life, but unfortunately nowadays aside from people spending most of their life in school - people spend most of their time at work, 2, sometimes 3 jobs with little time to do anything other than eating and taking 2 or 3 trips to the toilet.

It makes me angry to think that some politicians and economists still believe getting inflation back to 2% is possible, no way ! The only way to bring inflation down to such levels is to crash the economy, but then if you have lingering issues with supply chains, the same problem will happen once recovery starts - people wills tart buying again but supply will still not keep up with it. People will have to get used to 4%-6% inflation year to year, and you know who we have to thank for that right ?

On the topic of retirement, I'm sure a lot of people would want to retire earlier than they do, but it's not possible anymore, not in the current context - you have inflation that is so high - interest rates so high, food prices that have gone up nearly 40-60%, housing and rent up, it's crazy, how the HELL are people supposed to retire - most people have a few bucks in the bank and live month to month.

The future looks shitty all around - I cannot understand why people are still making kids, I mean why, it's gonna be a generation of alcoholics, drug addicts, criminals, gangbangers and trigger happy shooters !

Wow nice topic title, it sure grabs one 's attention, the same attention grabbing titles you see on YouTube :D

I thought you turned thief and actually stole something, until I kept reading .......... then this:

valerie wrote: I didn't think about it until later.......that they may have outdoor security camera. I am going to look might funny if they do.

Well most people in America have security cameras, that and guns, you can never be too safe even in your own damn house  Same shit here, except here only criminals are allowed to carry guns!

Quote:
I'm a Walmart plus member and I ordered some groceries. It stated delivered but they did not arrive. After looking around at the neighbors houses, I spotted walmart bags on a neighbors porch. I don't know those neighbors but the bags were just sitting there on their porch.

What's the deal with all those stories about wrong address deliveries, I mean don't people read the actual address properly, even someone stoned and drunk could figure out the proper address, it's ridiculous.........

Quote:
I put on a raincoat with hoodie and a pair of house shoes that are three sizes too big for me. I trudged through the yards and mud and one of my feet slipped out of the shoe and into the mud. I put my muddy foot back into the shoe and trudged onward. Finally reaching my destination......I looked into the bags.....

What ? you forgot your ski mask too  You sure are lucky you didn't get shot, you know how it is in America, some states allow home owners to shoot if you trespass, though I'm sure the neighbours would probably have realised they didn't order Walmart, but they could have stolen YOUR groceries had you not gotten there on time, but there again, when you see someone wearing a hoodie and a raincoat and boots coming to your door step and taking stuff, it's USUALLY not a good sign  You sure dodged that one you are so lucky - FOR SURE they will review the security camera, you might find yourself on Kentucky's top 10 most wanted. Well it's a Federal crime to steal mail or deliveries, I dunno, to play it safe you probably should have knocked on the door and warned the neighbours first, OR just wrote on a piece of paper "These are my groceries that were delivered to the wrong address" and point it at the camera, BUT you should knock on the door first to tell the neighbours. Let's hope you have good neighbours who are understanding - you should probably take a photo and video of your bag's contents and the receipt, you gotta cover your arse at some point, and you should call Walmart up and tell those idiots that they delivered your groceries at the wrong address. I've had this happen once with an Amazon delivery, the MORON delivered not only at the wrong address number but wrong STREET - fortunately it was not far away and fortunately that person called me to let me know, it's a few blocks. They need to hire delivery people who can actually SEE :P

Let us know how all this ends, if you get a knock on your door at 4AM and see flashing lights outside, at least you'll know why

Quote:
THATS MY FISH! Yes, that was all my groceries in the bags. I grabbed them up, and hurriedly trotted back to my house.

After a few minutes, I said outloud 'SHIT!..... SECURITY CAMERA???

Yeah I guess what's the worst that can happen ? Stealing mail or package from a porch can lead to state or federal prosecution and at least 5 years prison ..........

What about Peanut Labs, I noticed it is not in your list, this is has been a great earner here in general, DQ rates are very rare compared to other routers, especially the exclusive dynata surveys, Dynata has been a consistent and great earner over the years from even the time of ClixSense, with Dynata's acquisition of InBrain and discontinuation of ALL its routers, it will have a significant impact on GPT, Dynata surveys can also be found on other routers as well, and they generally are the best surveys.

We can not find that news in Australia , we can not find news what is going on in Turkey and Syria , we can not find any news what is going in the world

We have just one kind of news here now and that is that .... We must have war with China , f....d , sick world

You see the thing is China does not START wars - There is only ONE main responsible for worldly conflicts and war escalation, China is not one of them, China is often found in between trying to balance its good relation with some countries whilst not compromising too much relations with West, that they need......It's funny when you ask people the question who is responsible for what is going on right now, nearly 90%+ would give the wrong answer, when the answer is starring them in the face, but of course nobody can dare mention it or become too specific as truth is silenced even on this side of the planet, even more here. I'm pretty sure China does NOT want to go to war with anybody, given its world economic status - and pretty soon it might emerge as the top economy, so nobody wants to destroy that, however, countries have the right to defend themselves when that time comes, in my mind there is ONE person responsible for events of this year and last - and ironically, it comes most of the time from people who claim they seek peace and unity, but one must learn to never trust the words of corrupt, inept, and good for nothing politicians !!! When people vote on election day, they should actually use their brain (at least ONCE during that important time) and THINK HARD, do you want to vote for the politician you LIKE the most and agree with the most ? OR.......do you want to vote for one you believe is less of a threat to peace, prosperity, economy, markets, you know the shit that matters. Clearly this is not the case as you can see from 2020's results and I fear that in 2024 it will be a repeat of this DISASTER.

So yeah China is NOT our enemy here, but who IS our real enemy, it's one that is sabotaging the economy, it is one that has been responsible for the inflation, the price rise, the waste of resources and money all during this time, and it ain't China, China has their own set of problems, and in my opinion China through its negligence, has started a lot of things in history, but not wars - but when comes the time, they have to choose who they support !

Ideal age for retirement » Post #10

Wed Mar 01, 2023 07:09 in General Talk

The ideal age to retire is 30...............................whilst you still have your teeth, your mind, and can still use your two arms and legs among other things............... the REALISTIC age nowadays to retire: 80, #1) There is no more money to make investing in ANY markets, #2J) Cost of living has quadrupled during the pandemic #3 Cost of food up by more than 65%. So there is a big difference between ideal and realistic. Sure it would be nice if everyone could retire at 30, you could spend your time enjoying life instead of working for some ungrateful c**ts. In a world where soon you will need 3 maybe 4 jobs to barely make it, the notion of "retirement" seems less of a thing - do people really RETIRE because they want to or because they are FORCED to, due to health issues (mental or physical) rendering their ability to continue working, difficult if not, impossible.

Oh yeah Joan Rivers was quite the legend  and the likes of her will be missed too, she would have made a good President that's for sure, quite entertaining too, as to why she decided to have work done on her mug, well, people with money and fame, sometimes lose their bloody mind - nobody gave a crap about her face anyway, every time someone saw Joan Rivers somewhere, people would go "Oh what is she up to now", sometimes I thought that the trio, Rivers, Sharon and Ozzy should have their own show TOGETHER

Ideal age for retirement » Post #9

Sun Feb 19, 2023 14:13 in General Talk

Why the HELL can't nobody use extreme circumstances to remove this current President from office - how long can this crazy economy, crazy inflation, crazy crime and crazy prospect of world war continue, and yet they talk about those ********d balloons in the air, the biggest THREAT to national security IMO is the current administration, and its massive hardheadedness will cost the country a default by June and a collapse of world economy. So yeah with that in mind, if the crap hits the fan all those homes owned, mortgages paid or not will be worth nothing, house values will come CRASHING down along with money value and everything else. How can people even think of retiring and enjoying life, what life ? This is your country's absolute monstrously worst administration that it has seen, and yes, responsible for all the mess, yet from a person who promised to UNITE - what a bunch of hot BS.

The ideal age to retire in America today, NONE, the best thing a person CAN do is cash out all their savings and investment and move, and hide that money some place safe, in a shoe box would be safer, there's not ONE day that goes by that we are not inching closer and closer to financial D-day and bankruptcy, and yes by we, Canada will be dragged down the rabbit hole too, we have here a leader that is pretty much on the same level of competency as yours truly, and even bigger muppet, who prefers spending billions of $ he doesn't even have, to welcome UNLIMITED number of migrants and not doing ANYTHING about the crime rate that has skyrocketed in many provinces this year.

The best thing people CAN do on election day is stay home, collectively, to send a clear message.

The best time to retire will be one a President / Prime Minister / Politician in power delivers RESULTS and delivers what they were put in office for instead of being con artists and frauds that most are, to serve their own pockets and political agendas.

Sue we can show them what we are made of by not being insulted with low rates and ignoring them completely - if nobody fills those 5 and 10 cent surveys for 30 minutes, whoever decides on the rates will be compelled to raise them until they are completed - this happened with tasks all the time, so this is FACT.

This is how it works here for some including myself - 1 day in the month maybe 2 days in 2 months 2 digits, the rest, $0-$2.

Today for example, almost $11 - BUT wole month earned $52 which is more than 50-60% less than January.

Do people still actually take drugs at such high age ? :D She doesn't look like someone who would overdose on pills, it's usually people who do this in their 40's, or 50's or much younger to put an end to their miserable life - though a lot of celebrities, even most, are raging alcoholics and drug addicts anyway - having a crap ton of money does not magically wipe all problems of life though. I don't think it is an overdose, the family said she died peacefully - I dunno, I don't think by definition dying of a drug overdose is peace, but anyhow, anyhow, she was 82, I guess she lived her life, she is probably in a much much better place now :D

valerie wrote: They'd like you to believe that raising interest will be a solution to inflation.
I don't really think it takes a rocket scientist to know it doesn't.

Technically it does, and it should - when you raise interest rates, it makes it difficult to borrow, more expensive for individuals and companies, so this means people spend less money, it balances supply and demand and should in theory stop the price hike craze and return inflation to "normal" levels - the process is very long, they are raising rates to slow down the economy and spending - the problem is that the economy is showing resilience to these hikes, where inflation is not slowing down fast enough as expected - it will likely take a modest recession and a few years to bring inflation back down to 2%. BUT leaving inflation as is and nothing anything can be much worse, it means prices of everything will continue going up up up up up, problem is the Fed reserve idiots should have raised rates much sooner to avoid this shitty situation we are in - all the free money and massive relief during pandemic has given people the power to spend lots of money when supply chain was in a very bad situation, causing prices to soar - this is why Republicans opposed those big relief bills during pandemic, you kinda see why now, and now with US set to default by June-July, it won't help matters..........that will cause global financial chaos and stock market tumble of more than 70%.

So right now America's debt default and 2 parties holding the entire world hostage should be what people should be EXTREMELY worried about over inflation and interest rates.

Besides who's the you know, moron who will buy land or homes anyway when the entire financial system will collapse soon.

The discovery of three new types of spiders is bound to be another reason many travellers choose to avoid Australia.

A research group including 15 scientists discovered the arachnids during an 11-day trek through the Australian alps. They identified a “warrior huntsman” with a shield pattern on its chest, a wraparound spider that looks like a tree branch, and a 3mm jumping spider was described as appearing like a piece of coloured liquorice.

PERFECT thing to read before bedtime, fortunately it's morning here

spiders in the shape of coloured licorice - lovely, which btw is the correct spelling, and not LIQUORice, though maybe it's spelled that way in Australia which should come to no surprise  3mm spider, that's tiny, as to jumping spiders, we have them here too, they run like race cars and jump, I've seen some around the house and sometimes one makes its way i - most spiders here are harmless anyway, but some are QUITE BIG, especially the ones in the garden,
BUT spiders in your garden are your best friends and you don't want to kill them. The ones that are terrifying are FLYING spiders, some can fly hundreds of feet and GLIDE in the air, with no wings.

There are actual photos of human sized spiders in Australia, very very long legs and big base, you can see them hang on to screen doors and walls, BTW, insects make up 40% of the world's surface, and this statistic was a decade ago, imagine today - let's see now I guess if there is something one should fear during travel as tourist it's not spiders but the crazy human MFs with guns, especially here in North America :D I guess if you travel to Australia, stay away from the jungle, alps or spider ridden areas, meaning if you have a home there make sure it is well sealed, though I heard reports some come in through the chimney

The rising of bank interest rates is good news for those who have a crap ton of money and want some EASY residual income through GIC/CD, guaranteed %, can be configured for monthly interest payments..

Besides all this won't matter anyway, interest rates will likely go way back down once America goes bankrupt come June because it could not raise the debt ceiling this time because of 2 hard headed parties that want to sabotage and violate the population's trust, you know the idiots who actually exercise their right to vote on election day, what a monstrous waste of time that is, so yeah all this, inflation, interest rates, won't matter soon, 2 stubborn parties will take down the entire world economy over their childish rivalry - and yet Biden said he is the guy to unite, my arse, he is the exact opposite, shame on him.

Here on this part of the muddy pond, quarterly results are coming in, company earnings are above expectations, economy is strong, jobs are strong, stock markets are down - because good news for jobs and earnings means persistent inflation and more interest rate hikes. I tell you what Jerome Powell, instead of raising interest rates by 25-50 basis points, why not go all in, raise it by 100-200 basis points, this way it is near certain it will crush economy and inflation will go down, along with everyone's savings, this is what they want right, a 2% inflation target, hahahahahaha, big joke that is, good luck with that, in order to get 2% inflation, they will have to sink economy into a long recession first, it seems economy is resilient to small hikes.

Just get it over with and crash the economy already :P
