Pumpkins Pumpkins Pumpkins » Post #3

valerie wrote: This time of year in USA, pumpkins are popular to ring in Fall and also Halloween.

I suppose they became popular this time of year due to their growth season. In other words, squash such as pumpkins will grow up to the Fall season and best time for picking.

People place them on their porch, in their yard, some times along with other decorations such as hay.

Who can forget the carving of pumpkins, and emptying of its contents, and that distinct smell :D I never tasted pumpkin pie or jam before, though I heard they add a lot of sugar. What is good is also the pumpkin seeds, they can be roasted and you can crack them with your teeth (those who still have'em  ) and eat the inside part - you need a lot of patience and skill to crack that thin shell without breaking the inside.

Quote:
For Halloween, they may carve faces on the pumpkins and place candles inside for a scary nightly glow.

Given COVID19 and guns-a-blaze trends I wonder if trick or treating is still a thing, my predictions are that this year it will be full swing since your Court's Jester of a President thinks that COVID19 pandemic is over, it's likely going to be active.

Quote:
I bought a small baby pumpkin the other day. I never know what to do with them later. Usually I would cut them open and toss in the woods for critters to eat.

You could leave it on the front porch for the termites or ants to feast on OR you could chop them and use as compost, or like you said throw it in the woods for the "critters" to eat, just make sure it's far enough as to not get those critters used to it and coming at your doorstep to ask for more - like that guy who feeds 5000 raccoon :P

Quote:
Of course, the best thing to do with the insides is to make a pumpkin pie. I’m not a fan but pumpkin pie is popular.

Popular for Thanksgiving also right ? Never tasted it, I wonder though is it SUGAR & pumpkin pie, or pumpkin & sugar :D

Quote:
As a kid, we would take the seeds from the pumpkin, salt them, then bake in the oven. That made for a crunchy salty snack. I don’t think they were that great but we had fun with the process.

Adults do that too - they sell bags of that stuff - It's a pain in the arse to master the craft of properly cracking open the shell with your teeth to reveal the inside intact. I prefer pistachio - except for those closed shells you cannot crack open unless you have an axe :P

tasman1 wrote: Darkstar ... did just look at prices for cigarettes in Canada ...... still very cheap compared to Australia

No, fortunately I am not a smoker - the only time I smoked a cigarette was in Kindergarten or grade school, we had a teacher that was a smoker, and the main discussion that day was lungs and effects of smoking on lungs, so I begged my teacher to have one round of her cigarette and she said OK, but I had to promise her never to smoke in my life, so sure enough I took one puff, coughed and said "Yeah I'm never gonna smoke" - since then I kept my promise. However, I have been exposed A LOT to second hand smoke - there was a time in Canada where smoking in public and workplace was allowed, EVERYONE around me were smoking like chimneys except me, so technically that is worse, but other than kindergarten, nope never touched a cigarette and do not intend to either, not even vaping :D

I know Canadians spend a lot on smoking, there is the tax on cigarettes too, maybe cheap by your standards because everything is expensive in Australia, here fortunately we do not have $100 lettuce, not yet anyway :D

Quote:
Here are prices in Canada and Australia ............ price for brand my wife smoke [ cheapest garbage ]

Oh no wonder they sent free cartons - no premium brand would do that, sure it's a way for a company to say, cheers for using our cheap shite all these years, let us send you a complementary set

Here in Canada we have contraband of alcohol, drugs, cigarettes and firearms - if people want ANYTHING illegal all they have to do is cross over to the "reserves" bow down and kiss their arses a little show them the was of cash and you can basically buy anything - governments are powerless against the CRIMINALS here, because the governments have allowed for this and now they cannot stop it.

Got few e-mail yesterday ,one why they do that , one with invoice that they paid for me and one with tracking number

Interesting that they send freebies to an already established customer, maybe they had a surplus who knows, or maybe you made someone's quota and they got a promotion and a big pay raise  But that's good, in 2022, when you receive anything FREE it's time to buy some lottery tickets, with that luck you might actually win :D

Quote:
BTW , just did mention surveys and as you know my average earn here per year is around 1200.00 per year , in short same as this value I just got for free from this cigarette shop

....and to think I was earning that much PER MONTH when I was freelancing for a task provider at the time, if not for 2 c**ts I'd still be earning far better than surveys, but oh well, I think my first year on ClixSense was near $4k, my earnings on this site now, lucky if I can even get 300-400 per year, HORRIBLE year on ySense, last month on site 2 I did $150+.

Quote:
Australia is sick , cheap drugs and costly cigarettes .... govt earns over 10 billion a year from cigs duty , huge considering only 15% of population are still smokers

Don't forget the world's most large and dangerous spiders, some that can even fly too, and the crocodiles :P

You think Australia is corrupt - well you haven't seen Canada - here we have a tax for everything - the only thing tax free is the air we breath, and even that might be taxed one day if the Liberals remain in power - it's red for blood, they suck out all the blood from Canadians and still manage to run the country into a landslide of debt and deficit, true to his father's tradition.............. Some provinces have 35-40% tax on petrol, so every time you fill, you pay 35-40% tax on top of the provincial + federal tax, in some provinces can run you as high as 15% tax total, so 15% + 40%, 55% of the cost of fuel is TAX. On the bright side lottery winnings are exempt of all tax  (Except for the earned interest of course).

It's VERY unsafe in Australia, you cannot feel safe in your home, those large spiders are everywhere and they make it inside people's homes - and these type of spiders you cannot kill with a can of raid, they literally run like race cars, JUMP (I am not kidding, they can JUMP!!!) and they are hairy af :P

Let's just say Australia and Hawaii are not on my bucket list, both have dangerous insects everywhere.

To save one arm vaccine will be given only to left arm , once you get 1000 shots that arm will fall and next round will be in right arm and left arm will start to grow again [ that is cool ]

Yes that new virus is already here - and is so difficult to pronounce - it literally eats the brain, there are few cases in the U.S. and not much data on that yet - these new viruses being discovered FOR NOW are treated as isolated cases, you see, they will wait until it becomes a pandemic to act - just like with COVID :D Some of these new viruses could have fatality rates of over 50%, some 90%+ it would be the complete collapse of the healthcare system if this becomes a pandemic - they can barely handle a virus with less than 4% mortality, imagine 90%.

Oh yeah viruses should be the least of people's concern right now - It looks like North Korea is starting a WW3 (allegedly :D) Also 2023 will be a year of chaos, global recession, stagnant inflation, bear markets (all indices), Russia war full swing, NATO intervention, global scale conflicts and wars. and a new virus called Windows 12 :P

Brace yourselves - Unlike what the clown says in the U.S. I do not think the pandemic is over, it is not over unless it reaches herd immunity levels WORLD WIDE. As long as there are variants and surges of cases, it's not over, it's over for a President who is fighting to get re-elected (his party at least) .

What we need here are politicians with actual balls (inside or out doesn't matter  ) as long as they are not afraid to get results done and think outside the box, what we need are politicians who are able to take difficult decisions that actually benefit the population even at the cost of butt hurting some people, because you cannot please everyone, you see, there will always be a good percentage of the population that want STATUS QUO, they don't want nothing to change, even though they are the first big mouths to complain about how bad things are, but they always vote for status quo, so there is no such thing as light, Bolso or Lula, in the end they might be "unique" in their own ways, in the end nothing changes, it's the same old story, they are all in it for the power trip, just to "win" and just for their own self-worth and bloody interests - because to be a good politician you need that extra effort, and to get results done it means you have to do things that will make you less popular, and when you win your first election, the first thing you are thinking already is about your re-election - just say what people wanna hear all year long, bullshit as much as you can, keep things the way they are and play it safe, then wait for re-election and make up even better bullshit. Rince, recycle, repeat.......... Are things any better in the UK today ? Are things any better in Canada ? Are things any better in France ? Are things any better in Iraq ? So yeah - a change of politician basically means a new able bodied con artist will embezzle and mislead the population, and laugh all the way to the bank.

Few pointers there for those who are looking for a job and feel qualified in those areas above, apply today :D

Good to know - You see those big pharmaceuticals that make trillions of $ stated recently that human trials are extremely expensive for them, so now they are testing vaccines on animals - so yes there is going to be yet a new vaccine this time for original strain + BA.4 and BA.5, no data yet, SO you could volunteer your arms for testing

According to your beloved President (the one who still has his foot buried deep up his arse) declared that the pandemic is over, but fear not vaccine lovers, you will still need to get jabbed and booster shots multiple times a year though

Hi friend , I see you still trust in politician , just be careful ,most election today are won by far right like in Italy , Finland , and many more ..... far right = Fascist
In one year time most govt in the world will be under fascist rule no matter what their name will be

Once your election is done please come back to this topic and give me report how much better is situation in Brazil

Topic name ......Let there be light!!!!!.......good name considering God will turn light OFF in next 2 month in Europa and rest of the world next year :D :D

The election is unfortunately not done. There will be by the end of the month a second round. All polls were completely off. Go and figure.4 more weeks of bs.

Hang in there, we have dealt with 8 years of BS here and still counting - here election day is the biggest scam ever, when these corrupt able bodied con artists want to be elected they will do ANYTHING to "BUY" an election by making empty promises they can't even keep, all of a sudden they want to help, give a shit and throw money (sounds familiar ? :P ) BUT when they get elected all of a sudden they don't remember anything they said. Running for office is just a competition, they do it for themselves, for their interest, for the money and the big pension that is secured at the end, no matter if they do well or suck badly, it's all about their bloody interests, they don't give two flying shits about economy, jobs, poverty, crime, violence, discrimination, none of that. They just have all the money in the world during election, but when they are elected, with a majority, all of a sudden there is no money. Canada is ENOUGH money to welcome UNLIMITED numbers of immigrants, even those who do not want to work, study or anything, but does Canada do anything about its seniors, about poverty, the homeless, gun violence that is skyrocketing in ALL major cities in Canada ? Nope, no money for that.

There's nothing to teach, different companies have different treatment from suppliers, for some reason countries that did good once are doing the worse, unacceptable yes, but that's the way it is, for me CPX is not what it used to be compared to last year, BIG decline, and not only here, it's mostly crummy surveys on CPX for me, but fortunately still manage to complete few elsewhere. This place seems to have turned more into a VIP club, from my perception, no doubt a lot of people are earning well here, BUT nobody can deny that a group of people who once earned very well consistently are earning poorly or not at all.

There is nothing to be taught - you must open whatever router you have access to and try what is offered to you and expect that the majority of them will be disqualifications - the goal is to get surveys after many trials, but try everything, if you can master the nerves to do so :D For CPX best best conversion % is around 26% (but not here), for regular survey invites here my best % conversion was in the 21-23%. Ironically on ClixSense my conversion rate was 7%, 3 times as low, BUT earnings were 2x-3x higher.
