What about #2's those must be quite painful too

So you got your shovel and ice picks out yeah - hope you have a good snow blower - be thankful you have cold, at least you can warm yourself up - but when it's 40-50C day after day, and humid, it's hard to keep yourself cool unless you are very wealthy and have AC because even traditional AC cannot keep up with that - you'd have to walk naked carrying bags of ice cubes to keep you cool outside - not too convenient in most parts of the world :P

ahahahahaha you have no idea, there are MANY major signs of the end that have yet to pass, this is just a tin drop in the ocean - the whole market collapse is mass hysteria - investors are butt hurt by Jerome Powell's interest rates hikes, the same hypocrites that demanded the Fed act more aggressively to control the inflation, now are butt hurt from the 3/4 point hike, fearing recession - they want their f'n cake and eat it - once economy slows down and inflation goes down later this year, you will see big rebounds - that's how it works, sell sell sell, panic, create new opportunities for buying low, it's going to be a shit storm and likely going to be a short lived recession, maybe not even one, there is going to be a rebound before the end of the year, BUT don't be delusional - the DOW and other indices will be in the negative for 2022, and probably most of 2023, there will be rebounds this year, and a SLOW recovery in 2023.

You forgot to mention the tampon shortages, I read about this, they blame it on shemales

Receiving blood with your Amazon orders! » Post #1

Sun Jun 19, 2022 13:36 in General Talk

If you are a Prime member and you are a frequent Amazon shopper, beware, your Prime membership may have undisclosed benefits - other than free shipping you may receive free blood with your order - yes that's right, a woman ordered a chair on Amazon and she received a vile of blood with her chair.

https://www.businessinsider.in/retail/news/an-amazon-customer-found-a-vial-of-blood-when-unpacking-a-chair-she-ordered-from-the-online-retailer/articleshow/92321612.cms

You can also see copies of her tweets and Amazon replies. She was shocked when she opened the box only to find the vile filled with blood. Of course she contacted Amazon and she received a reply from the executive customer relations apologising to the customer and how Amazon understands that it must be awkward receiving bodily fluids like that !
They refunded her the $156 for that crummy chair she ordered, asked her to keep the chair BUT also offered her a return UPS label in case she wanted to return it, and on top of that gave her a $100 gift card.

Just like that - they did not even ask for the blood, nothing - oh they said the same bullshit any company will say, "the seller has been reported and appropriate actions will be taken" - it's too bad that neither Amazon nor the customer disclosed who that bloody seller is so we can all blacklist them - I mean why TF would someone receive a vile of blood by error, what kind of seller did she buy the chair from ? Vampires'R'Us ? This goes to show you how easy it is for scammers and crummy sellers to sell on Amazon.

BUT WAIT - I know what you are thinking - it's America right ? :P The country where you can burn yourself drinking coffee at McDonalds and get $10 million - or trip on a tiny rock and get $100 million. what's disturbing is that nobody has asked the vile - which is key evidence, to be analysed, and the seller will probably deny or get a slap on the wrist.
nobody seems to want to get to the bottom of this, she could have put the vile there herself or it could have been introduced there - NOW what if someone had fond a bag of cocaine with their order or a dildo, sealed in its packet, or a vibrator (without the batteries), would they have reported it - Inquiring minds want to know

NOW let's see now will the lady return the chair or get to keep it - your quick reflexes would wanna return that chair quick because who know what else is on that chair  BUT she may decide to keep the chair instead - she didn't say what colour was the chair, if it's a red chair I would worry, and who knows maybe she find find some teeth in it later on, that would be interesting :P

How much money is needed for ideal life? » Post #5

With that said, in America, a whole lot depends on where you are and what you do. For example, if I lived in New York, New York, I'd need say $10,000 a month for rent money compared to $1,000 a month in Paducah, Kentucky.

Wow that's some rent - you might as well buy a home it's cheaper in the long run. It's not that high I mean sure around $3k-$4k on average, for instance in Manhattan, about $4k-$5k for a shoe box sized apartment, 600-700sqft.
Maybe $10k for a multi story penthouse :P

Quote:
Now then, do you live alone or do you have children? If you live alone you would need a lot less money than if you have ten children. If you are married, just two of you, you might have a lot more funds than a single person.

It's true that some surveys purposely leave out important choices, we can see a lot of that in polls here, they lead you to answer something specific, the bias in surveys is a thing. Oh and the misconception that if you are married you have more money that's a TRAP - in the long run being married costs you a shit ton more money than being single for many reasons and that is not even including the divorce lawyer and settlement - you know my theory is that a single person is a million $ richer by the time they reach their 70s than if they were married  I mean marriage itself is crazy expensive, and the divorce(s) even more expensive

Quote:
With all seriousness, the younger generations today, want a lot but don't want to work. They also feel like they are entitled to everything for free. Of course I am not referring to all younger people in America but I will go so far to say a very large number, much larger than ever before in history....are down right lazy.

But when it comes time to deal or purchase drugs, buy guns and ammo, artillery and stuff, they are not lazy, and willing to pay big money for it - it's too bad they don't put that energy for something useful. Once upon a time people feared terrorists from outside, NOW, it's multiple mass shootings on a DAILY basis in America - because that's how people settle their scores if they get wronged. Here, it is the same in some cities, though different, here it is mainly street gangs doing the shootings. Once upon a time organised crime and biker gangs were a thing, not anymore, now it's street gangs, they shoot EVERYWHERE and at everyone.

oh and the teachers who shag their students, is also a thing in North America in general - much to the content of many students, but then later eventually they or their parents file complaints - OR they are fed up, guess most of them did not see Fatal Attraction

Cryptocurrency is not the future. The powers that be would like you to think that it is.

It's similar to Fools Gold. The ones that get to the mine first and invest a lot, then pull out when they see it's not real gold, are the ones that make out like a bandit. While the peons dab in the mine hoping to find the real thing.

There's going to be a different form of spending in the future but it's not going to be cryptocurrency.

Electronic currency (eCurrency) is definitely the future, it already started, there is a difference between crypto and electronic, I mean both are electronic - I do not think CRYPTOcurency in its form will take over, unless a government creates its own crypto and regulates it - unlikely - but I can see crypto expanding in more industries (outside the darkweb), but the reason crypto cannot be mainstream is because it is so volatile - I cannot see stores accepting bitcoin as payment method, one day it could be worth a fortune and next day it crashes, no business wants that liability on a day to day basis - ecurrency is stable more or less, but does not fluctuate heavily like crypto, so digital wallets carry the same value of the paper currency, it's the method that changes, that's definitely going to be main stream, COVID19 just helped accelerate this - it's old fashioned people who are stuck without mobile and cannot adjust the clock on their VCR (former VCR) they are going to have a hard time. That said, more and more GPTs are paying in crypto, this is just to cater to their international traffic that use it, and have issues with traditional payment processors. crypto is facilitator to fraud and criminal activity and is anonymous. If you rewind back in time, eGold was the facilitator of those criminal sites online, ponzi schemes, etc. now it's Cryptocurrency, it is THE main payment method on all the ponzi sitse out there.
after the fall of AlertPay, EGOPAY, Payza, STP and LibertyReserve, what's left now is Cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, etc.) and PerfectMoney. PerfectMoney is similar to LibertyReserve though it does not seem as popular.

Well truth is, the weather simulator decided that parts of Canada get all the rain and cool. We've had torrential rains, flooding conditions in some parts, and severe thunderstorms, this is not the hot scorching summer of last year so far, so I guess when the operator of the weather software decides, rain might come to your state. I know what you mean about humidity it's much the same here - not uncommon to see house humidity go in in the mid 60's even 70's on humid days, and mid 60's even with all windows and doors closed. It's near impossible to maintain a humidity of 40-50 in a house in the summer here, in the winter sure, you can easily maintain a relative humidity of about 40.

If you want I can make a deal, we can send some of that winter coolness your way in exchange for some heat in the winter, we have some very cold and snowy winters here, so I can send some - I hope you have decent AC, but don't worry pretty soon we'll be needing to either stay inside at all times or wear hazmat suits when outside to protect us from the cosmic rays and viruses........

There is only one way of putting it, aliens do not give a flying f**k and are very unlikely to come and save us - they tried sticking those probes in our arse or wherever else, and found out we are not worth the trouble - so why would they save us anyway, unless, UNLESS of course we ARE the product of aliens - we are kinda a simulation created by aliens, rumour has it that those aliens were once humans like us too but they do not remember :D some suggest after we die the simulation is rebooted and we are born again, same year, and go through life again same person, same everything, maybe same outcome or different ones, as to climate change, well..........in the winter America is freezing and covered in snow, in the summer, you can cook pizza outside under the sun (no joke) :P Same here too, I've successfully boiled eggs outside under the sun

How much money is needed for ideal life? » Post #3

Thu Jun 16, 2022 18:49 in General Talk

josealvesjr wrote: How much money do you need to lead an ideal life?

They should have made it a 2 part question, what IS an ideal life for you ? You see, an "ideal life" is so subjective. Some people are wealthy and do not live in mansions, they just live with the bare minimums, are comfortable but don't have to live a lavish lifestyle and luxury. To some, an ideal life is living in a big house, owning 7 cars, one for each day of the week, inside swimming pool, 50 bedrooms and a golf course on the roof top. For some people their ideal life style is so expensive than even millions of $ would put them in debt and poverty

It also depends on the country, in some countries you could live very comfortably with your existing money, without being a millionaire, with even $40k-$50k a year even half that. In countries like Canada, US, UK, France, etc, you would need at least $2+ millions of spare change to live in a modest home. In Canada you would need at least a million $ minimum to live a bare minimum retirement, accounting for inflation and costs of everything.

Quote:
A study by university psychologists of almost 8,000 people from across the world found that in 86% of countries the majority of people thought they could achieve their ideal life with $10 million or less but this not for Americans, who say they need at least $100 million with even 31.7% of them (the most popular response) saying that they would like at least $100 billion.

ahahahaha talk about greed - the way I see it an ideal life for me is not living in mansions and owning expensive stuff, it means being comfortable, in a regular well maintained home, not too big, not too small, buying a few things, saving for retirement and old age if I ever get there, so I can live home with dignity and hire help if needed instead of going in slaughter homes called senior home mostly run by organised crime, abusers and criminals. I would put money to good use, help DIRECTLY good causes and get to enjoy life without being greedy and engaging in high society lavish lifestyles, I think I can manage that under $100 million  even with $1-$5 million saved invested with guaranteed returns or annuity, to generate $40k-80k yearly. $100 million is overkill, $1 million for a home, another $1 million for renovations because here construction is operated by criminals and mafia and no contractor wants to do a $500 job :D another million to buy your groceries and food that has become overly expensive - so yeah to live barely above the poverty line in Canada, $2.5-$5 million is a bare minimum - $10-$20mil if you want to live just comfortably and have enough for retirement, live like you do now, not anymore expenses or lavish lifestyles.

With $5 million I'd probably buy a lifetime annuity - that's about $250k-$300k a year - that's enough for a single person here I think ,barely but enough

Quote:
For instance in Argentina, India and Russia where seemingly people live much closer to reality more than 50% of people said they would like $1m or less. In the UK, the most popular answer (26%) was $1 million and some said $10 million or less would be adequate.

People in the UK who said $1 million or less are not living in homes, to own a home in the UK you need BIG money, you don't go far under a million unless you can settle living in a flat the size of a shoe box (figure of speech :D).

But sure if anybody wants to donate a few billions my way I won't refuse it

Careful to hurt some feelings with the P word  Yeah I was reading that the P guy (also the POS guy) made 93 billions sine the beginning of his fraudulent invasion - disgusting - whilst his country is crumbling, he enriches himself, quite disgusting - He finally figured out an effective weapon to fight back, one that is better than nukes - because he figured that he has a lot to lose if he triggers WW3 - SO, he decided to use food an price hikes as weapons, and it's bloody working alright - this war that may last a year and beyond if not years, is the only thing that will stall global economy and stall inflation - it may even trigger a depression. So yeah there you have it. The good news for the wealthy who sold off their stocks high - the only viable investment now is in CDs with high interest rates or sectors that benefit from war, for the rest of the naive and clueless who rely on financial advisors - leave your money there and do nothing, and watch it fall 50-60% or more, and wait at least 2 years maybe 3 until it recovers maybe half of that.
With a war still in effect, there is no way recovery can happen, AT ALL, and no way inflation can go back down the way it was, it's impossible. So ONE country, ONE person has managed to find a way to hold the entire world hostage. fighting back all the sanctions with inflation triggers....and that delusional Fed Chairman who thinks raising interest rates by 3/4 points a few times, who will only but plunge economy into recession - and if it lasts too long it will force Feds to lower interest rates again, which will cause a recovery BUT will bring back inflation - as long as there is a g*****mned war, as long as there are supply chain issues, this sh** is not over and won't be. So where's the good news then ? Where is the bloody good news ? In a fairy tale maybe :D

Whenever there is money governments get involved, whether it is dirty or clean - it's not like governments are any cleaner than the criminals anyway :P What I can see happening is that eventually paper money (legal tender) will be phased out to e-wallets - it's already a thing - install an app on your phone, pay using your phone, money comes out of your bank account or credit card - it's called mobile payment methods, it's a thing already. It will take a while until all paper money is phased out though, since they are legal tender, you cannot just ban their use everywhere, you'd have to close all branches of banks. I also see future where governments will create their own virtual currency, regulated and all, and cryptocurrency only got its bad name because it is mainly used by criminals for criminal activity online and on the darkweb. Crypto is extremely volatile that it is not for everyone, unlike legal tender's value that is influenced by inflation which should NORMALLY be in the 2%, crypto currency can fluctuate at very high extremes, as much as 20%, 30%, even 50%, so it is not a viable replacement to paper money. A true viable replacement to paper money would be regulated virtual money, as it is used now on mobile payments and payment processors online, i.e. PayPal, only regulated currency can be backed by government. There is a lot of criminal activity done through crypto currency, unlike regulated money, where investors aim for long term returns, crypto serves industries of crime and deceit - people are in it for a quick buck, run scams, make money, sell out, and then buy low again - it's a good way for high risk investors to make big money fast, but you have to be ready to lose big money too, like Forex, the same rule applies, don't invest more money than you can afford to lose - even down at $29k for BTC, it's still a huge amount of money for most people, it's not a good "investment" by any means - if bitcoin goes down your entire investment goes down - compared to investing in a diversified portfolio. CryptoCurrency keeps CRIMINALS in business, period. I can make a list of dozens of online scammers that ran HYIPs and illegal ponzi schemes online, it's all now done through Bitcoins and other, after the fall of AlertPay/EgoPay, LibertyReserve and STP, popular ponzi payment processors, the industry flocked to Bitcoin and other crypto.

The one viable way to earn money with Crypto without investing too much of your money, is mining, of course you have to be ready to make a solid one time investment in good gear, either ASIC or GPUs depending on the type of crypto and returns you want, oh and the electricity costs :D again, it' snot for everyone, now markets are crumbling and go do as low as in 2008........ the only best investment now is cash, well now with sky high interest rates certificate of deposit terms look interesting, in Canada, for years they were at 0.25-0.50%, CRAP, now you can find 3%-4% promo deals.

After Jerome Powell F*CKED with the economy by creating this inflation problem in the first place by not tightening policies sooner than later, we are going to remain in the negative for 2022, and most if not all of 2023. I believe this recession will be a long U or L shaped recovery, it will be a long bumpy ride in caca land
