valerie wrote: Seriously, it is very messed up here in regards to the surveys. It's always been that way since Prodege took over. There was a few weeks when there was gazillions of samplicios surveys and then they disappeared forever. Then there was gazillions of your surveys and eventually they disappeared to almost none at all. Now there is never much listed and what there is almost always leads to purespectrum garbage surveys. Also, there are times when swagbucks pop up to a survey. Really trashy here in more ways than one.

The only thing I have been doing is making 4 cents a day here. The daily poll and a job search nets 4 cents daily. I don't even know why I do that or even why I am here at all. I guess it's just habit after joining 15 years ago and amazes me how terrible it is.

Good point Valerie, and good point on the last paragraph too  Wait, 4 cents a day ? Doesn't the Talent.com offer pay 10 cents ? Here it is 10 cents a day + 1 cent for the poll. Has the situation been so bad sine Prodege took over, not quite. Yeah things were messy at the beginning, so many issues, bugs, transition was a fail, then the Canadian PayPal issue, this and that, but that is not unusual though there are issues on any new sites and transitions - still the first year there were far more and far better surveys here on ySense, I did far better here my 1st year than other years combined, there were FEWER survey invites that's true, but quality - compared to ClixSense, I was getting a 23% click to complete ratio here, vs. only 7% on CS, there were other routers too here........things have gotten far worse over the years, disappearance of SSI / OpinionWorld, was able to do up to 4 daily here, at 84 cents each, gone. Now YourSurveys is gone, now all there is for Canada are PMR and Samplicious, the left overs, horrible inventory mostly off quota or bad surveys. The only potential here for Canada is Peanut Labs, though not most days - only few days were you can snag some surveys above 60 cents. Point is, 3 years later things are worse here than they were in the beginning - at least for US and Canadian members who are seeing less survey invites, less routers, but clearly some countries here are doing well, very well, have all the routers and all the surveys and the high paying ones.

I've still been able to earn past $100 on this site for a while, even if the earnings were reduced compared to CS, I managed to sustain that for a while - BUT since January 2020, when Appen screwed over GPTs and ended their relationship, ySense made some changes to the surveys, since then far less survey invites, disappearance of routers and low quality inventory - since then earnings have plummeted to near 0.

The issue here is, initially Prodege ran only Swagbux, later it decided to expand and buy other sites, unfortunately these sites inherit some outdated infrastructure - it would be very costly to re-write all the code, so I guess they are making with what they have, with the LIMITS they have, that still doesn't change the fact that things have been bad, in fact if you read reviews online you will see a very large amount of complaints about SB, that it has declined over the years, not what it was, lower rates, issues, etc. It all comes down to companies cutting costs and cutting corners or simply being happy with the revenues they have ..... BUT then again I see another site I am on, which belongs to a multi site operator, like Prodege, they run multiple sites, they do not have any of the issues - I do not know how they did it, but it's likely they future proofed their infrastructure - perhaps Swagbux was meant initially more towards the shopping, points and gifts, whereas a traditional GPT traffic looks for cash earnings - so for this site to match the top GPT it would need significant changes - they could start somewhere though - if ySense was better in its first year than it is today, it means they CAN improve it, maybe they cannot make it exactly like the best GPT, but they can improve it, nobody can convince me otherwise - will they is another story.

ClixSense relied on its own infrastructure, - the benefit of multi site operators with optimal code is that any positive changes they make can benefit all their sites at once - the one positive thing Prodege did however is keep the use of CASH balances instead of reverting to the POINTS method of SB, because with points your earnings would be 1:1 with your country's currency - you would lose out big. For cashing out, same, it's all based on SB's infrastructure of gift code denominations - the only way around that without a major recode is using 1 cent denominations for cash and adding a text box.

We have 2 stand alone routers at least for Canada, IPSOS and Peanut Labs, so it means they do have the infrastructure to allow other stand alone routers - I think despite the limits, I believe Prodege has what it takes to make best of what they have and improve the site - other than adding 1 cent a day stuff :D I don't think Prodege is keen on adding more routers but rather adding more offer walls, most of which are crummy btw, and where survey rates are a fraction of what they are here.

An example, PollFish surveys in RevenueUniverse, used to pay 8 cents each which was way too low, then it was reduced to 6 cents. On another site, they use PollFish stand alone, they are very short surveys usually always 1-4 minutes, and go for 20 cents, 30 cents, sometimes 40. HUGE difference here, PollFish DOES have stand alone integrations. LUCID / CINT, Sample Cube, Dynata / SSI, Precision Sample, MoreSurveys, Super Yuno, CPX Rsearch, RevenueWall, and each supplier has multiple campaigns - for example LUCID LONG, SHORT, REGULAR, YourSurveys CINT short, regular, etc. Sample Cube, multiple campaigns..........There is a massive amount of stuff they can add here to boost our earnings. MoreSurveys is a router that partners with LUCID, on some sites it pays a FIXED $1.20, I've done many of those. YourSurveys has an integration module, it supports information like conversion %, to see which surveys convert the best, even can tell you how much quota is left....... I can already see some sites are at the top even better than CS was - the only unique perk we have here is the checklist bonus thing, but what good is a checklist if you can hardly complete it because of lack of surveys. This month on ySensewould be my best month in 2 years  I'm not holding my breath that this will continue - it's mostly thanks to PL.

My point is, this site has the tools to improve, they need the will and the right people to make it happen, you know that these things don't happen overnight - but after 3, nearly 4 years, that argument goes out the window, they had all the time to improve. even the new account ledger change has flaws, it's hardly an improvement, because now it only shows you your completed surveys and not your clicks, screen outs, off quota, etc, so it gives a false sense of success, the only improvement is that you can contact support from that entry - but they removed an important piece of information - our history should include EVERYTHING, it's a history, you cannot just exclude those off quota, screenouts, clicked, etc. :D

I wonder if Joao is still working with the team or if he left, but all I know is that we were promised better earnings and more surveys - so much for that - they forgot to add a dislclaimer "not for Canadians or US members"

So yeah nostalgia and roots, I'm only here because well I don't like closing doors, nostalgia, I have an upline, and I still have delusions things will get better - so I am taking advantage of the other routers on another site, and the ones I have here - though I would much prefer earning in one place, I'm not Mr. Tasman1 who works on 200 different sites, I don't have time or energy for that  It's insane, 1-2 sites is more than enough for me.

I had the booster in October last year so it had been six months to this second booster.

Ohhh, goes to show how things in Canada are messed up - the so-called experts here cannot agree on one thing.

I guess in the US they are working based on recommendations from Pfizer/Moderna, who recommend 6 months, it makes sense. It makes more sense to wait 6 months than 3. Here in Canada, the minimum is 3 months, it's absurd, I do not believe an 80 year old senior who is at high risk, will gain any more benefit from getting the vaccine so soon - being a certain age and vulnerable significantly reduces your chances in the first place - vaccine efficacy is not the same, and getting that booster at 3 months vs. 6 months would not make much of a difference other than resetting the infection and severity protection by negligible amounts.

About to get my 4th jab » Post #13

valerie wrote: PS this recent jab has made my shoulder extremely sore and it has also made me tired and sleepy

In some parts of Canada, they only recommend the 4th dose for people who are over 80 years old, living in nursing homes (a.k.a. slaughter homes) or at very high risk. They say for <80 it is not recommended yet, yet some people are still getting it. If you have taken your 3rd dose inside a 3 months period you probably should have waited another 2 or 3 or more. unless you are an extreme risk - though if you are within 3 months, you won't get much higher benefits from a 4th dose - besides, this is still the same weak vaccine for original strain, protection from infection is still weak - and for severity it lasts longer, 70-80% after 6+ months, that early 4th dose is just adding maybe a tiny single digit percent extra, you still have strong protection for severity. Taking boosters every 3 months is counterproductive - in the long run too many shots will likely have an impact on our immunity. I'm not surprised about your side effects - the 3rd dose for me was the worst of the worst, my arm and shoulder were extremely sore and PAINFUL, but also EXTREME pain in my arm pit area (I suppose the lymph node, it was also swollen and pain in that area I have never experienced before). Fever of above 101F, tired like a train ran over me........but that lasted only 2 days and after that all was gone including the soreness. People who are afraid of needles because of pain, you should worry about the pain after the vaccine  I'm not going to take my 4th dose for now, I'm so far away from the age bracket, they say maybe in autumn but I'll think about it - I've had my fair share of needles poked into me in one year, no thanks, unless they make an Omicron specific vaccine which they should have, I'll pass. Also for a vaccine to be effective, it should be given BEFORE a wave not DURING a wave - it is less optimal to get a booster shot in the middle of a wave. We were lied to left and right, by Pfizer and Moderna who have claimed that with mRNA they can tweak the vaccine in a matter of up to 100 days - an Omicron specific vaccine is longer over due - Omicron has been around for a bloody long time - long enough for a new vaccine and its trial studies to conclude - we are given boosters from a vaccine that is outdated, where the new variant evades protection........the only benefit we are getting from the vaccine is generating a response to prime our immunity against severe symptomatic disease, but an Omicron specific vaccine would actually significantly reduce against infections in the first place - this is the best use of vaccines. Right now the vaccines don't protect much against infections - so this is why the virus is continuing to spread...........Of course it is more profitable for vaccine makers, they are all in the same bullshit business to enrich the pockets of a trillion $ medical industry - a bottom line only, shareholder driven industry..........

In Canada, both Ontario and Quebec have the highest rate of infections seen, yet in Quebec, vaccination is 95%+, goes to show you how ineffective vaccines are against infections - but they still are effective against severity, HOWEVER, since infections are still high, by sheer volume you get higher deaths and higher hospital admissions. at even 75% vaccination before variants came out, population would have reached herd immunity. They can keep giving an outdated vaccine and vaccinate 100% of the population, it won't stop the spread, it won't save hospitals, though it is true it will save lives and reduce hospitalisations, but they will still remain too high.

In context with this topic I bring to you some educational material that you will find enlightening, you will sleep less ignorant tonight and have learn something big. Why is bird poop white ? Ever lose sleepless nights thinking about it but you can't just figure it out ? Well wonder no more, because today you will learn why bird dung is white (no, no, it's not a race thing  ) and how everything comes out the same hole.

I dunno if US or non Canadian members will be able to view this content, hopefully it is not geolocked so the whole world can see it.

I learned something new today, the one hole for all part, I must say, how bloody inconvenient and messy, we humans are privileged

Weird clouds in Alaska - Alien invasion? Pigeons? » Post #1

Sun Apr 10, 2022 07:46 in General Talk

This is trending in the news right now and going viral - people have observed a very unusual cloud in the Alaskan skies, of course it did not take long for the conspiracy machine to get in motion. Nope it's not aliens, they are already among us, disguised as humans, so what could those mysterious clouds be:

https://nypost.com/2022/04/09/strange-cloud-formations-over-alaska-spark-wild-conspiracy-theories/

They will just brush it off and say it was a com trail from a jet - in reality it is a warp tunnel from a classified experiment run by military, in relation to time travel, yep that's what it is :D

What do you think it is ? If you honestly expected pigeons here, sorry, these were not pigeons

Valerie , did you see that post ?

Initially I did not know what you meant, but I re-read from the TOP. I get it - I must say I love the sarcasm, brilliant once again lad

Quote:
I posted that and than bang ,,,, Admin did answer your post ???

Another coincident in my posting here [ we did talk about that not long ago ] or it is just my rotten brain ???

Nope, it means nothing, several posts have passed since, she probably followed-up with them and they got back to her, it was certainly not as the result of your post :P The point is, Valerie is not the one needing help, it's the site that needs some help to make it better again - just like America needs all the help it needs right now and in 2024

It's nice that they reached out to her and willing to talk - I don't think the user names in red here (admins) have that power to make changes outside a support capacity - in the end it is all comes down to Prodege executives, some of us have already made all the constructive suggestions based on solid experience, fact and what is done on successful GPT, these suggestions were also made by mods over the many years - apparently Prodege is happy with how things are - and whilst they are making some changes here and there, it's not enough - the biggest change that would have the most impact on earnings are a restructuring of the surveys area - integrating the best performing stand alone versions of routers, like done on many sites, revamping the redemption area, separating gift code redemption from actual cash redemption, etc all these important changes would have the most impact on user experience, all the admins here can do is relay our concerns to the teams - but that's it - unless of course Valerie manages to get a meeting with the CEO  I doubt this will ever happen - We are not allowed to mention other site names, but if a decision maker wants to reach out to me, I will disclose to them another site I am on and what they do to be very successful, it is operated by a company like Prodege that owns and operates multiple sites, I have already listed here all the stand alone routers they use - one of the BIGGEST changes needed here to keep up with modern times, is break down the cashout area into 2. Gift Codes or Cash - for cash you should be allowed to withdraw your full balance, OR part of it, though the partial withdraw is not mandatory, but at minimum the full balance. The minimum should be reduced. Some sites make it as low as $1, it should not be higher than $5. For surveys, every member should be provided a filter to exclude routers / invites, for some countries, a router might be better performing than others - this would avoid the need to remove routers just because they are not performing for some users, etc.

The colours, and CSS styles is secondary - what counts is the CONTENT.............

This site had the potential of being bigger and better than ClixSense, it falls short in many areas, because it inherited Swagbux's infrastructure - initially their flagship site was about shopping and gift more so than a full fledged GPT with cash rewards - it's good that they managed to integrate new cashing out elements over the years, but mixing cash and gift denominations is bad in 2022 - they could fix this by doing what another similar GPT has done, use 0.01 denoms, this would avoid recoding and making big changes - so for a $5 cashout you would withdraw 500 x 0.01.

As to buying this site, that was a joke, I know you won't buy the site obviously, besides it's not even for sale :D

It seems a lot of requests are falling on deaf ears, the ones that would have the most impact.

1 cent a day is not exactly something to brag about, GPTs have to keep up with time, this is not a PTC - a GPT is a place where people want to earn dollars and not cents - and the most optimal way to earn the highest values is through stand alone routers - instead of surveys through offer walls. as far as individual invites here, most are junk, outdated or low quality bottom of the barrel inventory - all routers now keep a built-in profile - they could keep individual survey invites for follow-up studies or targeted studies, but prioritise stand alone routers to access the most up to date inventory. This will not help ALL countries and all members because not all countries can receive surveys, and you still need to fit specific interests - but it will greatly help people who are struggling to earn who once did earn well before.

100% equal hahahaha what planet is he on ? equality is just a self-perception - in reality, it does not exist, unfortunately. It would be an ideal world if it did, but we don't live in an ideal world, people keep fighting for it, but it won't ever happen. Equality is not just a race or colour thing - people will find all sorts of ways to berate and degrade a person because they are too short, too tall, too thin, too fat, wear certain colours of clothes, skin colour, race, their voice sounds funny, they hold their fork at 3 degree angle difference, people with disability, seniors, etc, people get continually judged - some people learn to live with it and brush it off, and others live a miserable life where these actions have had a severe impact on their life in general. So if someone says "hey everyone in my country is 100% equal" - that is based on his / her perception, if people were 100% equal the news would be so much different. same for messages on a forum or online, no matter how good or bad you say someone out there will always look for trouble and find a pretext to report stuff, whether your post was fact or otherwise, instead of these butt hurt probably far left individuals reporting, they should engage in the debate instead, but they are cowards and they don't stand up for their point of view, but they want the point of views of others to be extinguished. Of course write something bad about Democrats, and report or no report, you'll be banned by social media  Remember Jay Leno's career was destroyed for an innocent joke about Obama's administration - but of course insensitive jokes about a person's baldness due to a medical condition, no problem, that passes ........... If one is to give money they should give it directly to the cause, and not some intermediary and especially not ministries, unless you have a full audited report of how much money goes to the cause, and not just 1% !!! I cannot understand how people go to Church and worship the statues there, thinking that the statues hear them, are they praying to the Lord or to the stone statues ? One can have faith and pray from the heart - and do well without putting money into the hands of the thieves. They should make a docuseries about how much MONEY has been STOLEN from people over these years through fake charities, TV ministries, Church, etc, through deception, lies and bullshit.

Yeah Steve Martin & John Candy, that scene where John Candy's character had his hands between 2 "pillows" and their reactions - now THAT is top notch acting right there. I think I watched that one many times. As to xmas movies, one of my favourites is Surviving Christmas, great from start to finish, great actors and acting.

Another one too The Great Outdoors :D One movie I watched multiple times also, The Bucket List.

These guests that go on shows, get good publicity and promo for their upcoming movies, and they still get paid to be on the show - they get paid to go on other interviews too - and also it doesn't stop there, actors get a residual income from all the movies, shows, they have starred in as long as the movie / shows are shown, some people have pure talent they deserve it, others, well they don't, like some current generation of singers :P

The ySense surveys is PMR - Prodege is partnered with one of their suppliers (LUCID at the time, now CINT) so most of the PMR leads to Samplicious. Used to be good but now the survey invites are mostly junk, other than PL, the inventory quality has become extremely low here for some or many......... I don't even see YourSurveys anymore, it is an issue that others are experiencing too, and some aren't but the problem is on ySense's side.

Yeah what a mess indeed - if not for Peanut Labs it would not be worth it around here and even with PL it has been a struggle the past years working on this site - mess is an understatement, I thought for US members they would get the best earning potential - US members were earning quite well on CS and in general on GPT sites - I see top lists on these sites with 3-4 figures in a matter of weeks - it's crazy, I could only dream of earning that.

AOL - Excite - Paid to Read Email » Post #2

Yes AOL Discs and Publisher Clearing House mailings, claiming you are one step closer to winning that prize .........
Wasn't AOL a big deal ? The GUI of internet, you connected and you had graphical menus with categories etc. I heard it was expensive at the time and per minute, not unlimited, I may have used it on a TRIAL, though, but that's it, oh the sound of dial-up yes indeed, you can still find dial-up sound effects on YouTube, for nostalgia - that and the baby shark sound that nobody can get off their mind

AOL then evolved (apparently) and started offering stand-alone web e-mail, they probably still do. As far as Excite, it rings a bell but like I said I was not really into that - I never used aol mail (junk) or aol anything other than a small trial. AOL was SPAM heaven.

Quote:
Anyone remember the email accounts that paid you for reading email?
Those were a big joke! NO not PTC. Actual free email accounts that supposedly shared the revenue with their users dependent upon how much email they read.

I never used that crap - but I heard of it, yes there were so many, I think I remember a few, does DonkeyMail or InboxMonkey or MOnkey something ring a bell? There is something I do remember, and this was a big thing before PTC took over, but it failed miserably because of cheaters and abusers, like anything else. Basically it was a program where advertisers used part of your screen's real estate to display a banner - all you had to do is surf online, do your thing - and as long as you surfed online with the banner displaying, you accumulated credits - initially some of these paid well too - unfortunately some of them were not financially sustainable. I'm sure you remember Cash Fiesta and many others, you could earn a few $$$$ daily from that, probably more than from doing surveys here at the time  But this was short lived as people kept using bots, and always finding ways to cheat the system. I've never used any of them, but can never forget the cash fiesta banners :D

Paid to Surf was eventually replaced by PTC, though people have still managed to cheat PTC left and right, but PTC model was far more sustainable - the money made from it was so low, too low, cents, but the real potential was referrals. There were paid to post, I only participated in one PTP program on an HYIP forum, you were paid 10 cents per relevant post on the industry - I was good at that because I knew lots about the HYIP industry, site paid and on time, made a few bucks, and that's it, these programs did not last a long time either, then came the BUX site craze.

As far as Excite, it rings a bell I remember a logo, but can't say for sure. AOL I remember the jokes people made about it. Internet has gone a long way hasn't it ? :D and so have programs online, getting paid every 30 days by check to now getting paid instantly on many sites :P

Have you taken part in any of those ? Paid to read e-mails ? or paid to surf, etc.

I stumbled upon another potential for a good movie on Netflix, called The Boy. It's the story of a lady who moved to the UK and she gets a job as a nanny working for a very interesting wealthy couple living in what looks like a mansion or castle or whatever - the main goal is to take care of their son.........I'll leave it at that - I just started watching it last night but was tired so I stopped it and went to bed, I am at the very beginning - story looks very interesting - and something tells me this will be a job she will always remember  I think you will like this one Tasman1 definitely - and any potential nannies here, it would be a nanny's true job made in heaven to experience the same situation as the lady in that movie  The movie cuts to the chase, it starts immediately into context - you will quickly figure out what it's about...........................:D

In short it is about a boy who gets visited by aliens - weird things happen, parents notice strange events, boy acting weird, boy gets weird marks on body, behaves weirdly sometimes, etc.etc.etc. then mother starts experiencing odd things, went in boy's room, saw an alien figure, got scared, hubby didn't believe her or boy, then hubby experienced something weird, believed them, put cameras saw weird glitches in video, hired some weirdo who them that aliens are all among us and that they choose people to spy on and eventually abduct........... Horrible execution, it is so boring, and stretched, the pace is so slow and goes nowhere, it's a B movie of alien invasions  and the ending, well after all the efforts the boy does get abducted - lots of unanswered questions, plot holes unresolved, etc. definitely not something worthy to watch - the only thing you do learn from this movie is that they are called Greys, and they are among us, we know that, we have a lot of greys, think current administration

IMDBp is no available in Canada :D

BTW I just finished watching Dark Skies - what a HORRIBLE, pathetic attempt at an alien invasion movie. Low budget garbage, poor editing, poor execution, horrible ending, boring, and horrible to say the lest. Anybody who has not watched this yet, don't bother it's an epic fail :D

Well get ready for your Amazon Prime to go up again Valerie, you can thank Biden for raising corporate tax from 21% to 28%, this is basically "hey I have lost control and spending a lot of money, so corporate America is gonna pay for it, as if inflation is not high enough and costs rising, let's add more insult to injury and have people pay even more!" consequences of the Obama legacy - waste money worry later.

Outer Range it better be available in Canada - otherwise we are being ripped off - if they keep raising the prices and we get so little content then something is wrong.
