Windows 11 - Who made the transition ? » Post #4

Well - in 2025 Microsoft will end support for Windows 10, no more updates. It's nice to stay with old reliable OS, but companies eventually will force you to upgrade, just like they did with Windows XP when basically everything became obsolete, and you could not even update your own browsers and more and more sites became incompatible. Windows 11 has CRAZY system requirements, even though old CPUs can run it just fine.

Eventually games, apps, drivers, etc, will be optimised for Windows 10.

Yeah it's a difficult poll because one can like all 3 - it depends on mood - for example I could be in the mood for some salty anchovies or herring - and for dessert a nice big piece of chocolate cake or fruit confetti cake with banana pudding icing sprinkled with cinnamon and chocolate mints. All 3 flavours are great :D Sometimes both sweet and salty, like the Reese's Cups :D

Amazon buys MGM » Post #2

The reason I do that is because I can watch all I want to watch in the winter with Netflix and I am not spending as much time watching tv in the warm months.

and we know how "scorching hot" those months are - I've never spent more time outside than during pandemic, it's true most people watch less during hotter months, but people like me mostly watch stuff evening / late evening, part of the night, I never watch TV during the day, I'm out most of the day :D

As far as Amazon acquiring MGM, I don't know what that will change for now - I hope Amazon does not pull a Netflix on us and triple the subscription rate, like Netflix did. You now how it is when companies acquire companies, who pays the big price, the price is passed on to the consumers - we have a good experience with that here

I don't know how long it will take for new content to be added on Amazon though or if it will have any major impact for Prime members, or Canadians :D Besides we might all be blown to smithereens by then so might not make much of a difference

Welcome to the new world order where the non wealthy must work 5x more to earn 2x less, whilst the wealthy get 10x richer, you know that already - Companies are greedy - inflation is high, and ironically, it is so because people buy more, and supply cannot keep up - companies raise prices, earn more profits, but do they pass along these profits to workers, NO. they cut corners. No tasks here is a really major blow to earnings - In the good old days of tasks, mainly 2013-2017, you could earn 2 digits effortlessly from doing a few tasks only, without even touching one survey. Was consistently making 2 figures day to day from tasks ALONE in those days, barely touched surveys. The most I have earned from tasks in one single day here and on CS was $50, for just a few hours work, now it's hard to earn that in one month let alone 3 here :D Though I saw the removal of tasks coming - Remember keeping your mind busy keeps you out of trouble, what's that expression about idle hands and the devil, I forgot already  An idle hand is the devil's playground, I'm sure Valerie would know, but she's gone now - this site managed to push away the best contributors to topics and most entertaining too - they are on a roll

Market research is a billion $ industry, it's not going to leave anytime soon - BUT I wonder if companies will gradually move away from incentivised traffic for surveys - 1) It's expensive 2) Data quality is not consistent. I've said it over the years GPT is a dying industry - some have disagreed with me - it's clear by the amount of users joining the sites and not enough work or surveys for all. YET I still know some members here and elsewhere are earning 3-4 figures A MONTH - they told me so personally and I believe them, I've seen proof of that from other sites too - it's crazy, that some are earning $600-$1000 a month, and a Tier 1 counry like Canada and US can barely earn anything here, it's sad and pathetic................

Windows 11 - Who made the transition ? » Post #1

Wed Mar 23, 2022 20:43 in General Talk

As many of you know, Windows 11 has been out for a while now sine October 2021. I was surprised one day as I saw the news as it was my understanding that Microsoft said that Windows 10 would be the last version and that it will receive major updates twice a year. The very same Microsoft that told us that 640KB of RAM would be more than enough, there goes that theory down the toilet  There are graphic cards with 24GB onboard VRAM now, it's crazy.
So I said to myself, oh no not another bloody Windows OS. I was quite happy with Windows 7 before, and then Windows 10, so I looked more into what kind of rubbish Microsoft had in store - and it seems that Windows 11 was not up to a good start - with its CRAZY system requirements and all. But I've always liked software adventure, so I decided to go in an adventure, I fit all the system requirements including a good DX12 GPU, so made the leap - Initially I used the leaked version :D I was impressed with speed and stability and boot times, then from there I decided to switch - I made the leap to Windows 11 Pro clean install and enrolled in Insiders Beta - I have not had any issues so far, it's rock solid and stable, and fast - they have since fixed A LOT of bugs and performance issues that were mostly affecting AMD users - fortunately I'm an Intel users - so I disabled the Spectre protection for full performance, enabled GPU scheduling and other performance enhancements and tweaks and trimmed the fat, now I have a rock solid super fast Windows 11, it's faster for everything ranging from productivity to games so far, maybe because of the components and system that works well in Windows 11. I run it on an NVME SSD (Samsung 969 Pro 1TB), boot time is less than 10 seconds to full desktop, I cannot imagine anybody running a system OS on anything other than an SSD. I still use hard drives for cold storage, but once I migrated to an SSD for system OS, I will never go back - it makes a HUGE difference, everything is instant. It's less than 10 seconds boot including all loaded drivers and resident stuff like antivirus (Avira + Malwarebytes, etc.) I've run everything from 3D rendering, coding, game making, games, etc, all run smooth and stable. It's oddly still uses Windows 10 numbering - it looks like Windows 11 is a higher BUILD of Windows 10, starting with 22xx. I must say though that compared to initial version things have gotten better and better - I do not recommend the Dev build. Beta and Preview builds are more stable, and you get new fixed much faster.

There are stuff in Windows 10 that I miss, like how the bloody bleepin' hell did they forget about the "move to" feature in Explorer - I also liked the File Explorer ribbon / labelled feature better in Windows 10. The absence of "move to" in 11 is absurd - you have to open 2 separate folders and drag the file from one to another for move. There are certain things in 11 that require more clicks than on 10. Also the bloody taskbar's COMBINE mode. In windows to you could use "never combine" option to have each instances show separately with their respective labels. In 11, it is set by default to combine, and you cannot change it, no labels, just icons, you have to hover over the icon to see the other instances or use task view - OK, it's bloody annoying but easy to get used to - it's absurd that Micro$oft DECIDED we cannot have "never combine", it's very / extremely annoying. As with Windows 10, you will get optimal performance tweaking and uses registry tricks and optimising - I would not recommend running any OS out of the box.

As far as the conspiracy theories and spy / telemetry, well, I have nothing to hide - so unless you are a criminal and/or fugitive with a warrant for your arrest, it should not be a concern - it's mostly aggregated info - there are many things you can turn off - I mean google and many internet services already use telemetry anyway, people don't know or are not aware. Also if you want to be part of Windows Insiders, you must enable FULL Telemetry - so far no issues there,
they can track what I do and what sites I visit - no problem - like I said, unless you are a criminal and visiting sites that can get you arrested, no problem, it's not like M$ hides the fact they are spying on you  Windows 10 is no different. Google has been doing so for ages, gmail, yahoo mail, most sites even survey routers :D

As far as the new user UI, I liked the one in Windows 10, I honestly cannot be arsed with the new rounded borders in 11 or any of the new UI stuff - but one thing I LOVE in Windows 11 is the windows grouping, it is very tidy and very practical in many applications - this is one of the best new additions to windows. I also like the new settings area.

I recommend running this on an SSD. Clean install for best performance. I run in UEFI mode on a GPT SSD - HUGE difference in boot times using UEFI & GPT instead of MBR. Running on 16GB of RAM, and an ASUS Geforce GTX 1070 Turbo OC 8GB DX12. If you don't have TPM 2.0 and don't meet CPU requirements, you could still use registry hacks to get it installed though M$ does not recommend it.

So what's your experience ?

Now ySense well let me ask you this » Post #4

saramath wrote: This month earning is 3.84 dollars and I completed only 6 surveys. I am also losing hope with the site.

For ONE month ? What routers do you have access to ? How many invites did you try ? Do you have the same issues with off quota surveys - in my case there is a long list of survey invites, the issue is with most of them being off quota - I think Tasman1 made a good point in another topic - it is as if ySense is getting late survey inventory, this problem could be reduced with stand alone routers.

Enough suggestions were made to make this site better.

YourSurveys offers a stand alone portal - it can be configured to show individual surveys, their pay rates and how much quota is left in each + the conversion ratio, so you can see which surveys convert the best and which ones convert the least - you can see in advance which surveys are nearing their quota, and once quota is full they are removed - YourSurveys can be configured this way - They should do away with the current YourSurveys invites here and use the stand alone router with this information - I will attempt to post a screenshot of what it looks like on this end, without revealing information and names that should be shown - this would significantly if not eliminate the issue with off quota surveys for YourSurveys at least.

For Samplicious, there are many campaigns that can be configured, short LUCID (now Cint), long, regular routers.

CPX Stand Alone router is a very successful router and good performing on many sites, with a variety of pay rates, which are competitive when used as a stand alone - it also rewards in many instances when you DQ, depending on length before DQ, no catch.

PollFish has a stand alone router than can be configured. On offer wall it used to pay only 6 cents per Pollfish, pollfish is removed from offer wall - Stand Alone version would offer much higher pay rate - for normal PF surveys (own inventory), on another site it is about 29.25 cents and the surveys are very short, true to Pollfish tradition. PollFish also offers an aggregated router redirecting to other suppliers. Super Yuno router is another good router, pays $1.30 fixed on another site, and there are multi tier Yuno routers with different pay rates fixed - from easy to qualify to more difficult.

The reason there is so much off quota here is because of the late survey invites arriving through the API. Individual invites should still be allowed for interactive / follow-up surveys you already took through a router - otherwise the rest should be delivered through direct access to the supplier's inventory as done in majority of sites - this will significantly reduce the off quota problem here - it won't change the screen outs because that depends on profile, but if they can reduce or eliminate Off Quota, it will be a major improvement.

Well that's stretching it don't you think ? at least they did not remove the General Forum, it's no better on that other site you are on, starting with N - it's far worse, besides, before the war there were many discussions too - it's just that now it is the main focus and topic - it gets repetitive, but now the pandemic is back full swing, so there's lots of topics to cover, I DO hope that ySense will reconsider their position on rule #13, but meanwhile I'm sure there are many topics we can discuss - leaving the forum is doing exactly what they want us to do in my opinion, more and more you appreciate how Jim Grago ran his company - There's lots of topics to discuss, pandemic, medicine, etc. I guess now they are truly enforcing rule #13 - why now, I dunno - :P Is Prodege selling ? I dunno, just speculation - :P

So we were allowed to discuss the sham of an election 2020 and what almost would be a civil war in the US in January - and that passed - life is strange innit

Don't let it get to you Tasman1, we've all had posts edited and deleted - if you've been on a forum long enough statistically you have had posts reported, deleted, edited, etc. remember when you were scolded for using your name in topic titles  That was very entertaining to read - We still have far more liberties here on this forum than that other site and other company forums - why not make good use of the general section whilst it is still there.

It's no use posting anymore about war, the topics WILL get removed, or posts inside other topics about war, they will be removed - we gotta get used to it - :D Most GPT sites DO NOT have forums anyway, so it's not like there is a better place to discuss - and that other site with N.... they lock *ALL* topics, it's only a support forum - the forum there is a mess and a lot of redundant topics - it would be a shame if this place became like that though - Many companies have support only forums - BUT they also allow general discussions, within strict parameters and rules, so it's not unusual the rules they use here - They can make an exception about #13 (for politics and war) since it is part of the news.

I demand ySense to create special forum for Apes , one that Apes like me can understand

I hope that ySense team can reconsider on their latest direction which is dividing community. I think community should be allowed any discussions - rule #13 was created by Valerie, not by owner of this company, she stated why she created that rule and why it was not always enforced - they should reconsider allowing us discussing anything especially current news, except illegal or high risk topics, as long as it is done without flaming, attacking or personal or violating any other rule.
If not, then Tasman1 we can simply do what we did before those war topics, discuss other stuff, there's lots to discuss outside war .... Besides this war will not last forever, it's same old same old, eventually we have to move on to other stuff.........it's just the principle of what is being done here. I think ySense should reconsider, since Rule #13 was made by a former moderator and was not really enforced because in the end, there is no flame wars and fights that existed in ClixSense as a result of these topics, ySense should amend #13 and reconsider its position - for the reason that the war is part of current news and events that concern the world - this is not a discussion about political party and which one is better or not, so they should reconsider - I have seen over the years other forums and how things are done, it can get quite nasty and ugly, it becomes personal and it becomes a war zone - it is not the case here at all - so to the team please reconsider your position and please do not destroy and divide the community - The forum and general discussions were part of ClixSense's legacy over the years - don't destroy that too.

Wed Mar 23, 2022 08:19 in General Talk

@Tasman1 and all, here is their reasoning why war posts are being removed, it's simple, they are just enforcing the rules down in stone - not all rules were enforced before, even though rule #13 was created by Valerie and she specifically said why at the time - the reasoning behind why the war topics are removed are so wrong, because none of them are violating the rules.

Let's analyse.

Rule #1, was not being violated in any of the topics about war. Neither was #2.

Let's look at #3
Quote:
Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law will not be tolerated.

None of the topics infringed any laws, threatened or invaded privacy, nothing hateful other than of the actions of the perpetrator of the war, it was discussion about general news, even kids are aware of the events and more aware of world events - nothing offensive or personal in any of those topics - the only exception would be posts that suggest assassinations these would definitely cross the line, but otherwise for the rest - it's absurd.

Rule #10 is a solid reason why no topics should be restricted here other than the ones already mentioned, (nudity, adult material, copyright, etc.) Here's why:

Quote:
The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of ClixSense or its staff. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to use the reporting system.

First of all, this is ySense not ClixSense, and site is not held accounatble for opinions expressed on forum, or in other words the opinions are expressed by their respective authors and not necessarily shared by company. It would be a good idea to change ClixSense to ySense :P

Rule #13, no politics or religion - this was a rule Valerie created because at the time it was warranted - and necessary - but she later allowed it as long as the discussions were kept on a level that does not violate the other forum rules.
Proof this rule was relaxed is all these discussions about politics and elections over the years were kept there.

Religion yes that can be a hot subject, but politics and general / current events like a war should be allowed to be discussed, there is no VALID reason otherwise - unless the topics could generate clashes between members - something religion topics can, but even so compared to some of the days on CS, there has been far fewer clashes here.

So let me get this straight we were allowed to discuss the January 6 riots, the Ottawa Convoy conflit, Elections, etc, but cannot discuss about the invasion of Ukraine by Russia ? because of Rule #13 even though the person who created this rule specifically said she allowed discussions falling in those categories - in other words that rule was not consistently enforced - and tolerated as long as things did not get personal - I guess at time it should have been edited that rule  Sometimes your own rules can come bite you in the arse later ! So I guess if there is WW3 and the whole world is in shambles, we won't be allowed to discuss?

It's always been a project of mine to start own forum, I even dabbled with forum software in the past, I would if I had time, but I am only here most of the time late evenings, and not as much as before, so no time for that. At a time of a war and major consequences for the world, are people interested in reading other topics ? They should watch the engagement in those topics and figure it out

Finally, you are back up - it's good to see that things are better for you, hopefully more surveys for you to keep your mind busy and out of trouble  BTW, here's a tip, if you have SSI or OpinionWorld invites, don't do them first - Dynata operates Peanut Labs, you will find those same lower paid SSI/OpinionWorld on Peanut Labs for possibly more, BUT sometimes lower too, it's tricky - Starting with the highest paid is a good idea to maximise earnings.

With all this inflation thing going, they should increase the rates of surveys - so what is inflation now ? 20% ? They should increase survey rates by 20% :D

That's what MODERATORS do on a forum, assuming any are left that is, I don't know why your request would be DELETED, maybe it's buried, maybe you revealed top secret stuff, or maybe you struck a sensitive cord - Here's what I think happened, again this is speculation and not fact - it's possible that Prodege hired influencers or community managers, I've gone through this process before, another company I invested 4 years (waste) with, they hired community leaders to defend and protect image of company whilst taking care of community and keeping them happy, well they did a LOUSY job at that, caused divisions, they are no longer working there, Karma, good - NOW as to here, it is possible they are using influencers / community leaders to take care of the forum part, I really hope this is not a repeat of what I saw elsewhere. This is a pattern - companies will purposely stay silent and avoid specific questions or reasoning, it's all about liability and abiding by legal company policies, and taking the fifth, stay silent about certain things - it's typical - The moderation of a forum is normally done by moderators, when was the last time you saw a moderator post here, it's extremely rare.

There is ONE topic that really got my attention - one of your BEST topics in Feature Request, It's disappointing they locked it without replying to you, because you raised a VALID point and a FACT.

http://forum.ysense.com/264130/Faster_Survey__Supply........tasman1

This is the KEY as to why the situation here is so bad - I've raised this concern many times, it's as if this site is getting the left over, the low quality inventory. In 2021, in ALL the surveys I have done on Site B, I only got 3 Off Quotas, for the entire year - It's as if here they are getting those s surveys LAST - this is something that should have caught someone's attention here because it is so true. The other company I was part of was horrible, they made legal threats against you if you discussed in forum or ANYWHERE about ANYTHING about the company, products, what they do, the work, EVEN if the information is PUBLIC domain Some companies have turned good forums and tight communities around and made them far worse, community managers joining these companies ending up dividing community, this is what happened with company X I worked for, I really hope this is not going to be the case here, though from my observation I worry it might be the case - again, opinion, not fact. Unfortunately Company X rather keep cheaters and low grade workers who praise community managers there, over top rated workers - sad, I don't want to see ySense go down that route - Company X has lost so many good workers and staff over the years and their choice of a community manager was a lousy one at best, one who had zero experience with the core company.

I've said many times before what ySense needs is community leader presence on forum - it happened, this is a good thing, so far - I do hope it does not become the same as what I experienced in another company - All it took was to report and flag an inappropriate post from a condescending support leader there who violated her own rules of conduct, to get the boot and throw all these years down the toilet, hard work and dedication - thank goodness things are not like that around here at least, community has remained strong over the years, despite a few disagreements here and there - hopefully they won't divide it like it was the case for another company in a totally different industry, let's just call it Company X, the company that threatens their workers and forbid discussing ANYTHING company EVEN public information - although I'm sure this would never hold in court.

That is a reason why in this topic I say ... it is time for :silent:

Really Tasman, all social media, I would not know though 1) I do not have a Twitter account, 2) I only have an account on another forum, since 2012, but they were mostly to post about industry stuff at the time, PTC, GPT, HYIP.
I have Facebook but I do not post, some of the disgusting, hateful, threatening material you can find on Facebook and YouTube and other social media is shocking, am I missing something but I don't see censorship there, Facebook is allowing FRAUDSTERS, SCAMMERS and propaganda machines to post their garbage, not all of it gets removed - I have many times reported to Facebook fraudulent advertisers and scammers on FB, all ignored. From what I heard social media remove posts that are misinformation about elections and pandemic - so if you say something like elections of 2020 were stolen, that's a red flag - There are too many scammers and criminals on social media, I don't see the level of censorship everywhere as you claim though - I don't know why you were banned on Twitter it's absurd, these companies are operated in the US, it's unlikely ANY US company to censor posts, the US is a strong promoter of 1st amendment and free speech - There are many forums and social media that bash the current administration, these posts are still there. I doubt that any foreign country would have jurisdiction over these US companies, so yeah I think what you are seeing is because the discussions on social media were crossing the line, not like here where they were done within reason - on social media people made things personal, they were discussions on hate and bashing PEOPLE, instead of bashing the dictator, bashing the entire country's people, inciting hate, crime, cussing and vulgarity, did any of that happen here ? NO - They haven't shut down the forum YET (note, keyword YET) so the good news is, we are not completely silenced.

There are some juicy topics I have in mind about new findings about vaccines and big pharmas - and how science seems to think now that the multiverse theory is true - LOL like it will make a difference in our lives

This forum survived without war topics, but like I said, it's a matter of principle, it is so unfair considering no lines were crossed - why the bloody hell do you have forum moderators for ? TO moderate topics, edit or remove offending posts - lock ENTIRE topics and DELETE them - that's deep.

Hopefully someone from staff can shed some light and give us a list of what can and cannot be discussed. Would they rather we complain all the time about site ? can't we discuss general topics, this is one of them, general.

In Russia, did you see that lady who protest during live news, she got silenced pretty quick, and arrested.
So, let's talk about good old days, might as well as none of it is left around ......... unless we cannot even discuss old site who knows :P If they should forbid one thing is discussing old site, not topics of wars :P

Somebody used the N word in one of the topics some time ago is that the reason - so punish everyone because someone said the N word which contain the letter Z ?

WELL They kept the forum and checklist bonus - but the surveys are gone, oh we have surveys alright, it's off-quota and screenouts 99.9% of the time now and crummy pay rates down 80-99%, that's not the ClixSense I remember.

Quote:
Rule 13 is MY RULE! I created that rule because at the time, there was a lot of madness on the forum. Even after all that settled down, I allowed such topics and discussions as long as there was no cursing and anger.

You created a monster  Yeah I remember that era, it could get quite heated in these discussions, even mods were fighting with one another, remember Marcel ? Most of these trouble generators are long gone - I was actually surprised that the discussions of pandemic and wars and even religion as of late were done calmly without any fights starting between members - it was never personal.

Quote:
You have also used some of my own tips and even placed them ON the website without my permission. You even revised them later in your topics. You could have at least ASK me first.

You won't even remove the names of forum moderators that have not been here for years and years! You can't even take a moment to at least update the colors on this website/forum.

The name of this program is a good one. ySense. Why Sense? Because there is little of it.

Remember over the years how I said that company acquisitions usually don't improve the company that gets acquired ? It is a trend - I've observed this myself through so many acquisitions - and they all turned out the same, sometimes running the business down to the ground - I cannot say so far ySense has run it to the ground - BUT all I see is declines everywhere - the only little improvement I am seeing is more presence of support which is something that was long overdue - but that's it - I said it before also I have a bad feeling something is up - They could be seriously revamping the business, consolidating sites, or a brand change or what not, or acquisition, but this is purely speculation and not fact, If this company / site had followed the advice of users who have been in the industry far longer than the company, they would have multiplied their revenues big time and competed with other sites, there is too much swagbux model into these sites, which uses outdated code - I mean we are in 2022 and they still use gift card denominations for CASH (PayPal, Skrill, Payoneer) which makes no sense, because these sites inherited SB's core.
In my opinion the lack of stand alone routers and wanting to improve the survey experience and redemption is what is stalling - but apparently company is doing very well and earning very well which means some members are doing very well - this is NOT the ClixSense I remember, this is more of a VIP club - I miss the years where one could earn $300-$500 with only a few hours work per day, and by few I mean 2-3 hours max). I miss those days.

I've stopped trying to do surveys here - every time it is off quota - every time - it's frustrating and demotivating - I even stopped at other site - though I may try here and on other, I don't give up that easily, but I do not think this site is going anywhere at least not for those members who have seen MASSIVE declines since 2020 ! Site was acquired in 2019 right ? We are in 2022, 3 years later, no significant improvement. Things were better the 1st year of this site despite all the issues and frustration.

It's nice that we have Samplicious surveys back - but what good is it if they are all off quota.
I can give tons of examples of how market research companies were acquired and horrible decisions were made by new owners who ran the company into the ground. Opinion Outpost was one of the top earning survey site at the time, with surveys that paid dollars and not cents, usually $3 or more for easy surveys. They were acquired by SSI, it was run to the ground - I was a member for many years SSI direct after they took over - I quit - surveys went from dollars to cents, pathetic. Greenfield online, $5-$25 surveys, acquired by Toluna, same faith, its stand alone panel is horrible, you need $50 minimum for redemption, and it takes forever, I quit there too.

ySense has acquired CS, it has not run it to the ground as I have seen other acquisitions, not yet, BUT I do not see any indicators that it is in the right direction - for ALL its members - and the fact some Tier 1 members here are struggling to earn when they could earn so well before is very disturbing. I would HATE to see this site have the same faith as other acquisitions. I'm no web coder, unfortunately, I would have volunteered just to rewrite that crummy, outdated redemption module - We are in 2022, many highly successful GPTs have $1-$5 minimum, one can hardly earn here, $10 minimum is A LOT. Even some members like Tasman1 who has a good earner, like me, has seen major declines, I have $96 sitting in my balance, for ages, I cannot use the $100 option, there is no $50 option, only $10 and $25, how many cash out requests do I have to do over several days to get all my money it's RIDICULOUS !

So many post in general topic now that we must wait days in line to post

I have my suspicions on which mod might be behind this decision to lock AND delete all these posts, but I will keep it to myself as to not start chaos - all I will say is I'm not impressed, considering everyone here is against the invasion, and I honestly do not think there are pro-Putin here, they would have long shown up - However, they probably are saying "WELL, there was a forum before the war and topics, so what's the problem ?", TRUE, there are many topics to discuss, the pandemic is still not over, there are many other interesting topics, BUT............when this war is the major headline around the world, it's just hard to ignore - if they have concerns with the fact posts get archived by search engines, all they need to do is configure a separate sub-forum outside the General Topics and visible only to members, like the Offers one is configured for and like the tasks one was configured for - This is how Jim initially set it up to avoid all the negative comments about the site being visible to public - it's kinda odd, they allowed us all these years to complain about the site left and right, BUT they do not let us discuss IMPORTANT current events in a way that is not causing any fights between ourselves - I'm confused - and I have my doubts that it goes far beyond just one member who complained, it's more than that - I think they want to DESTROY the forum and do what many companies do - support only and nothing else. I remember on that other site that starts with N, we could discuss a lot of interesting topics before, NOT ANYMORE, they lock 100% of topics there good or bad, it's literally just bragging about success or failure and asking the same bloody questions that's been answered a million times, that's it. They have destroyed everything that was good about ClixSense, its legacy, all of it - this place has become a VIP club essentially, only some members and some countries get the privilege of earning well and getting all the surveys.

I can understand why a company would want to lock or REMOVE some posts on its forum, if anything represents a liability, like posting nudity, infringing content, threats, or anything illegal - but NONE OF THAT was the case here. Is it bad for new users who join to see those topics ? I don't think they care - most people just join to earn and not bother with forum, they could care less about topics of wars. It's disappointing BUT there are still topics to discuss, I have a few in mind - pandemic is NOT over, new studies are coming out with more revealing data about COVID19, vaccines, etc, a new COVID19 treatment already available, etc. BUT right now the focus is on the war - WHY ? because it can easily escalate from a geopolitical war to a full scale war that will negatively impact the entire world and all business, including this one - NOW it's true that 1st amendment never applies on a forum, there is no right to free speech on ANY forum - it's just a privilege, posting about a topic is a privilege not a right - so we can just make the best of it.
We are still far far far better off than that other forum on site N :P I just found that the discussions about the war here were far more interesting than watching the news and listening to the same BS and drivel on BOTH sides. In my book when you have a leader of ANY country unable to protect their own people and make sure years ahead of time there is enough diplomacy to prevent such a thing, then such person does not deserve to lead - 'nuff said. and BTW, no, I am NOT talking about the US, I think you know which country I am talking about. I think it is unfair for the entire world to pay the price for one mad dictator and one propaganda machine to hold the world hostage. The more this war trails the more the obvious is coming out. I haven't seen ONE member here ever mention that they support this war and are happy about it - not one.

I lost all hope for this place, and for world peace, I guess we are in an era where we have to make with what we have, there's plenty of topics / serious material to cover, it's just that at the times we are going through people are less and less interested in reading about that, and more interested in reading about current events - it was obvious.

Nobody here has came forward and discussed why entire topics were locked AND deleted now. It's disturbing and I think I know who is behind it, and it's not a member.

If in a GENERAL FORUM we cannot discuss about current events and news that concerns us all then there is a big *****mned problem, people who are offended by certain topics should not bother and leave - one or two persons offended by topics should not dictate what is allowed and not allowed especially when NONE of these topics engage in personal attacks against other members - everybody here seems to be on the same page, nobody is condoning this war, so this is a very sad day - and it is very clear that NOBODY here is interested in reading the other topics - you can clearly see, that the war topics had the MOST engagement, reads and replies than ANY of the other topics. No surveys, declined earnings and now this, this place has really gone down the toilet - They can delete this post but I cannot help but say things as they are and I am sure MANY other members think like that too, the difference is I'm not afraid to state the obvious.

The initial no politics and religion was Valerie's rule in the old days as it generated a lot of fights between members, it was then tolerated later as long as it did not become personal or cause fights - we were allowed to discuss the entire Presidential elections on 2020 without any issues - So it is very strange that we cannot discuss current news on a GENERAL TOPICS forum, very sad and pathetic, there is no other word for it, and I'm being polite too.

So how was your day today Tasman1, everything is fine, the whole world is doing ok, we have nothing to worry about, all is well, let's talk about flavours of ice cream and aliens, I'm sure people want that more right - so you first :P

That rat snake sure looks like a long piece of turd

So if hiking in those areas I guess it's a good idea to carry some wooden sticks, for the snakes to bite on - does that trick still work ?

Yeah but how does it move, you said it was a racer snake, and moving about, how, rubber doesn't just move on its own :P

Here in KY we have 4 venomous snakes. Copperhead, Cottonmouth (water moccasin), Timber Rattlesnake, and Pigmy Rattlesnake.

I think it's a bit rare to see a rattlesnake unless you are someone that is constantly hiking into rocky woods.

The venomous snakes I see most often is the copperhead and second the cottonmouth.

Wow you sure know your snakes - I haven't seen a snake here yet other than grass snakes. I've done hiking in woods and deep forests, hours daily during pandemic, never seen a snake, maybe all the snakes are in Ontario

The ones on this side of the world are mostly dangerous, except maybe for grass snakes, :D I don't think anybody would like a snake to curl on their feet or any part of their body though. Snake is a symbol of evil. The problem is most people did not major in Snake 101 in school so they would not know the harmless from the dangerous, so rule of thumb, when one sees a snake, to just stay far far away - the worst reflex would be to chase it and try to kill it, especially if there are others around. Coyotes are far more dangerous if you cross one in your path than a snake mind his business, unless of course you step in the snake's territory!

I still wanna know how that rubber snake managed to survive all that time and on what power source it runs, we could use some of that here in certain cities
