Jonah Hex -----Netflix .....tasman1 » Post #2

ahahah yeah definitely your kind of movie

OK I will add this to my watch list and watch it tomorrow.

I just finished watching The ADAM Project sine it showed in my recommendations and you mentioned it, it's much better than I thought it would be, especially being a Netflix original. I love these kinds of movies , definitely a good movie to watch on a rainy day or when the world is on the verge of world war 3 and impending doom :D Great movie, great ending, good execution, albeit far fetched a little and a bit predictable. I think you would love "The Flash", there's 8 seasons of it on Netflix, still an ongoing series, think you will love it if you are into super heroes / time travel type.

Another one you would love, Source Code.

Yes some times bird poo will take the paint off a car.

You should tell her that if she leaves it there, eventually it will corrode its way through the car and makes nice little holes

Good thing it's not an expensive Ferrari :P

Just the sight of it is repulsive, splotches of bird pudding and all

Tarps are a good idea, but you gotta clean them too, or the poo will eat its way through the tarp

There's not many pigeons in this area, although you can find a lot of them in the ghetto areas of the province where people feed them all day, all night, these areas you can literally smell them from a mile, it's disgusting, the look itself is gross, it looks more like bird vomit :D Bon Appetite

Even with changing time there is to much red tape bureaucracy - they "discuss" a lot of things, politicians are paid to discuss and rob us blind, seems they are good at that, but putting words into actions, only one President so far has had the balls big enough - too bad his pie hole is just as big, that don't help

....and on the topic of changing time, if they don't want to remove DST, at least change the time of the year you use it. It's ridiculous that we are still in WINTER and have to change time, I mean why can we possibly need an extra hour of daylight at such time of the year anyway?

What happens to people who work at night, if you are working the night shift, does this mean you get paid an extra hour ? :P

I told her, why not at least place walmart plastic bag over the side mirrors and then you can take them off before you drive. Nope, she don't care. She drives every where with bird poo all over her car!

Let me guess, she uses her garages as storage areas - lots of people do that now. If people don't want to use their garage, there are alternatives, like car tents in the winter ...... But yes it's disgusting indeed, not only to look at, because it looks like bird vomit too but it stinks  though not as much as horse manure though, but horses don't sh** on cars

Apparently bird poo is corrosive ? That's what I heard, apparently if you leave the stains on your car or whatever, with time it can have corrosive properties and eat through the paint or fabric and leave permanent marks. So she really doesn't care ? What if that splosh is right in the front view, driver side, I bet she'd care

I hang one hummingbird feeder in the summer in the back yard but that's it.

The moment you feed the bids the entire flock will come, if you don't mind bird poo all over your yard, though birds might keep some bugs away from the yard, I think spiders do a better job at cleaning yards of insects, especially the large ones :D

You have to be careful because birds carry diseases. I love to look at birds but I do not want them all over my house and pooping all over everything. Plus, it's a waste of money all that bird seed she buys.

I have a garage and keep my car parked inside.

Good point on the disease part - and then there is a problem with hygiene in society, not a lot of people wash their hands in general - it's against principles, like wearing masks and all, so I cannot imagine people getting bird poo on their hands or touching it by accident and just wiping it off, and not washing hands properly afterwards, then they manipulate foods you eat - it's enough that a lot of people don't wash their bloody hands after they've discharged No. 2's. You can see that a lot in public toilets, they just get out of the stall and straight for the door  Those who are concerned of bird poo, well imagine this, the foods you love to eat at y our restaurant, there's human fecal matter content in them, to some degree, from minuscule amounts to more, so you are eating someone's poo with every bite ! :D

Problem is, you don't get to choose the colour  So you have to settle with stained white :P They must find a way to run cars off poo - there's lot of that on this planet, so prices would be affordable and nobody would have to rely on expensive oil and high maintenance electric, for sure there are ways, imagine, you could be running your car with your own waste eventually :D

I haven't watched it yet but it appeared on my recommendations - so I might watch it.

I finished watching the Zombie series liked it, wow, those last 2 episodes, lot of action, nice fight scenes, some intense gore, some difficult scenes to watch though, the eye gouging part - was that really necessary ?

This is one great series, with a nice ending, I am glad that the hybrid girl did not turn against them, I liked the end scene when she jumped - I watched it at normal space, not speeding through, great acting, great execution, great story, there are still some questions though about what happened to the virus creator - the creator of the show aid he designed the show with a season 2 in mind. The series has had #1 spot in the US for some time, but now it's #2 or #3 - You may have noticed that this is not a budget series, it cost them an arm and a leg (get it ? ) so yeah Netflix has not officially renewed it, if they do, it's unlikely we'll see a new season before 2024, this must have taken a long time to produce, I can only imagine how many takes they did those scenes and all the work put into it, so I hope they do renew it.

Maybe until June even. We've had here major snow storms in the middle of May before. We've had a nice mix of seasons this winter here, summer, spring, winter, in one day, we even had an episode of thunderstorms in the middle of winter, with the snow :D It's been one very cold and snowy winter - global warming my arse  but our summers are much much hotter too, like crazy hot, 110-115F. Most people think that earth becoming 1 degree hotter each year is not much, but it sure is, I rather it be cold all winter, with fluffy snow, than mild weather with freezing rain and heavy snow. We've had a winter years ago where there was barely any snow, only 1-2 and that's it, dry the rest of the winter. I don't mind cold weather - I DO mind ice drizzle, wet snow and violent winds all at once :D

valerie wrote: Fooey Patooeyy! You can't be telling me that zombies don't exist! That's like saying Tasmanian Ape Men don't exist!
Shudder the thought! :o

The original old zombie movies were the best. The zombies walked slow and many were naked.
If the zombie that was clothed didn't scare the bejeepers out of ya the naked ones sure did!

Science has already proven that it is impossible for a virus to turn someone into a Zombie. It is true that a lot of what we see in disaster movies can happen or have happened, but it is impossible for humans to become zombies. Zombies are dead humans, their heart has stopped completely, but the virus somehow takes control over the body, so it's clearly fiction- if there was a virus that was able to take full control of the brain of a dead human and make it walk, it would need an energy source - it would not last long from a dead body - so yeah zombies do not exist.

All Of Us Are Dead, keeps up with modern times I guess, Koreans take it up a notch I guess, I mean a typical classic zombie series with slow naked walking zombies would not be as popular on Netflix, not in 2022

Those zombies sure run fast in that series - very fast .... Technically, yes with technology I don't see why it would be impossible to have a virus take full control of our brain and body movements, kind of like a possession, but with a virus - but as long as the "host" is alive. If the heart stops, then it's game over.

In All of us are dead, the story is, this virus actually kills the human, the heart stops and the virus takes over, and now the virus evolves and learns human conscience so now the zombies talk and act more human - FOR SURE I cannot wait for a season 2

With cloning and DNA manipulation a lot of evil stuff is possible, in the wrong hands, but physically, the body needs to stay alive, unless they reverse engineer the creation of humans and play God, and create hearts that auto restart or backups that kick in :D

Well I do believe there is more to science and medicine - not all of the stuff is fake - science is TRYING to explain NDEs as the brain's way of struggling and surviving or easing the transition to death - but it sure does not explain how some very advanced Alzheimer patients in their last hours suddenly gain ALL memory, speak, as if they had no disease, or how some people clinically dead could recount what was happening to them, the conversation, seeing their body from above, etc. You can fake stories, but you can't fake actual events, when you are clinically dead, you cannot hear or see, you are unconscious. So there is lot to explain as to how these people recounted so much information that occurred whilst they were being worked on......... Of course the series they make on TV and streaming are a lot of fluff, they are dramatised and overblown for ratings of course, otherwise it would be, boring :D
OR people who come back CHANGED and sometimes with new abilities, talents, etc. These are documented in medicine.

Unfortunately there are too many fake stories and charlatans out there.

'All of us are Dead' I think is the name of that series on Netflix. I mostly sped thru the last few episodes but caught on to what they are doing and apparently have a second season in mind with hybrid zombies IF Netflix contracts them for a second season.

No, Netflix would rather pay for ghosts and psychic healers series, it's cheaper :D But seriously, there is no official news on a renewal. It can be tricky because of the high cost of production, those Zombies don't come cheap
Unfortunately the way Netflix works is different to TV Networks. TV Networks rely on viewer ratings - the higher the ratings, the higher the cost of advertising on that time slot - In Networks it's all about ads. So if a show has good enough ratings, it definitely gets renewed. On Netflix, it's another story, it's not as much the viewer ratings, because Netflix does not rely on ads, there are no ads on Netflix - so they rely on how much a series or show can attract NEW subscribers. For Squid Games for example, that show alone was enough to attract millions of new subscribers, only on that series alone which proved to be the most watched most popular show on Netflix, who'd thunk :D You see people all around wearing Squid Games t-shirts, caps, masks, it's a thing now, even at Halloween - although some areas forbid Squid Games costumes.

This sucks because in theory Netflix can decide not to renew a show even though the viewer ratings are strong. Besides, Netflix is not too strong on renewals, they aim at NEW content over renewing existing one, because it is mostly the new content that gets them more subs. Only in some instances has Netflix renewed some really good series, that generated a lot of subscribers. Squid Games 2 renewal was a no brainer - Netflix is gambling on the sequel attracting even more new subscribers as SG1 did, OR it could turn out to be a flop. As far as All of us are dead, this is normally a genre that ends on one season, I don't think All Of Us Are Dead will manage to attract as many new subs as SG, it's likely Netflix will focus on that - It is unlikely to get renewed, I haven't read much on the viewer ratings yet, perhaps Netflix is waiting and playing it safe. Personally, I think it should be renewed, I wanna see more of those Hybrid Zombies, those Zombies among us, it's quite fitting with our world, so let's hope for season 2. What might sway Netflix against renewing it, is the high production cost - they better not skip out on those Zombies

I just think it's funny that Zombies are becoming something other than zombies.

I mean come on, Zombies don't exist period  Gotta admire the originality though, hybrid zombies, I am not a fan of Zombies movies, it's the same old stuff, didn't even think I would like this one, but it goes much farther than just Zombies - I liked the story telling and execution from start to finish. Koreans really know how to deliver good content.

You gotta give them credit for originality - Zombies with a twist (no pun intended :D) BTW, I didn't watch all of it yet, I'm just one episode away, will watch 12. I liked the series actually, the stories between characters, events, very well made, and flash backs and story behind this virus. It's a high budget series, must have cost them a fortune, I wonder how much those 5000 extras got paid to be a zombie  Yeah that bully guy is hybrid and so is that girl with the students, I almost didn't watch that, but I was very impressed , poor actors they must have really been sore after this one
Some of the scenes are quite gory, not for the sensitive eyes, like when that bully zombie bites a huge chunk of organs :D

The creative ways the students work together, find shelter, the rivalries, it's not one of those typical shoot'em up zombies - Yeah this definitely needs a season 2. I hope Squid Games 2 will live up, usually sequels are not that good, they will really have to raise the bar high - *** SPOILER ALERT ***

I am just disappointed that the main instigator of the games died in season 1's final episode.

It's an interesting series. Some of it is so fake it is hilarious. In the Netherlands there is an organization or some sort of training place that teaches people how to become 'mediums' (that's what it amounts to)....and this woman holds seances in which she talks in two voices, one being a childs voice.....it is so Fake it is hilarious!

It's even more disturbing they call it a documentary. Even more disturbing is how DESPERATE Netflix is or they must really be running out of money, so they are buying cheaper content. They have turned Tabloid entertainment into series now, who would have known. I do however believe some people have mysterious abilities, powers, etc, there probably ARE true psychics, who knows, BUT the true ones won't be in the spotlight, they won't sell their services and make it an infomercial or psychic hotline, they won't exploit their abilities or others. So it is safe to assume that majority of it is bullshit :D Are psychics and mediums trained to be real psychics or mediums ? I think they are trained in human psychology, probability and statistics - they use techniques to get information from the person (victim), people seeking such services are at a vulnerable state, this makes it easier to work with, build a connection and understanding and work from there, it's fairly easy to make calculated predictions because statistically, if you do it right, you would get at least 50% right. There is undeniable proof some people have amazing skills, math geniuses, people with very high IQ, amazing memories, amazing talents / abilities, etc. Where the line is drawn though is mediums, psychics, etc. because preying on people's despair is a lucrative industry - it's debatable whether real mediums exist though, and if they do, you usually cannot reach them through a hotline :D

Quote:
PS. A new series coming to Netflix is 'Life After Death'.

Do you believe in ghosts? Me, not really. I do believe there are demons and angels.

From a study published in October 2019:
Quote:
Over half (54%) of Republicans say that they believe in demons, while far fewer (37%) Democrats say the same.

Do you see the irony here ?

In the end it's all about faith whether someone believes in stuff they don't see - however, it is very hard to understand the non belief of evil - with everything happening around the world on a continuous basis, it's hard, and this is part of the Scriptures playing out - if I recall there is a time where evil overshadows good and people lose faith in God they once had - or people's faiths will be tested, a lot will turn their backs. It's crystal clear, today's events is proof enough, as you have people flip faith as they wonder "if there was a God, how could he let all these things happen......" but then we dive into the "free will" part some don't like to hear :D

Evil exists, nobody needs proof, you can SEE IT, FEEL IT, SMELL IT, TASTE IT, all around. I even heard some debate going about where some even claim there is no good or God, that it is a demon that created all and other atrocities - and they say the earth is definitely flat :P

I do believe there are demons too, and ones in the form of human beings too :D The angels are hiding in the shadows, because right now evil reigns supreme, just as expected to be.

As far as the Mark Of The Beast and reading through the Scriptures, it suggests that A LOT of people will join the dark side even the once believers.........scary. Ask some random person on the street what is Revelations, and you would probably laugh at the answers - some might think it is a song or candy bar

I've seen video footage of people's homes invaded with these very large spiders, it's like stuff you see in horror movies . I thought Hawaii was bad, but Australia has some of the world's largest venomous spiders.

The large spiders discussed in this article however, do not seem to be a threat to humans, unless really provoked, they are venomous yes, but apparently their fangs can hardly piece human skin, they would really have to be provoked ....... Fortunately, these spiders won't be as much of a threat as giant killer wasps, also from South Asia!

So you are bored with news about COVID and WAR, no problem, we have you covered, Russia invades Ukraine, COVID has invaded the world, it seems invasion is a theme, so let's stay on this theme. Now it's giant spiders that invade the US, not as bad as Australia that is full of dangerous insects everywhere, this is not a spider you want to see in your home.

...and no, this is not Putin's retaliation for the US oil ban. These originated in South Asia, those and the giant killer wasps that also invaded the US :D Another fun fact, insects make up 35%-40% of the world's living space. I'm assuming there are insects in Russia, does this mean we need sanctions on those too ? :P
