To Quit or Not .......tasman1 » Post #26

Sun Feb 20, 2022 22:56 in General Talk

Well if you had an inheritance of say $10 million then it would be an easy choice wouldn't it ? Unfortunately, your inheritance would be considered below poverty line in many countries, including Canada and US, even Australia, as far as quitting, well I have in a way Tssman1, kinda, partially, I've lost all hope for this place anyway, most of the surveys are off quota, or just plain JUNK, it's been yet another crap year here on ySense, so I scaled down, if I catch a survey or two from time to time I will do it, but I scaled down A LOT, so it could be a transition to quitting too, but as you know, I never close doors, if things get better I might continue or I may not. Don't feel guilty of quitting, or you could do like me, just scale down. I'm here mainly for the forum and nostalgia anyway, and even so I think this area is on borrowed time, I think eventually they will merge the site with SB or get rid of the forum (in my opinion) and that would be a huge mistake in my opinion too, there is one thing that seems to have improved here is more presence and a little better communication - but for some here anyway it's near impossible to earn like before, things have declined BIG TIME on the amount of surveys, quality of surveys, and earnings, so for those of us in this situation the decision is easy - in your case, you have still managed to maintain a rather good steady earning, even if you say it is worse than before, it's still far better than a lot of us including myself, that have seen 90-100% declines. If I came across a million $, I'd probably still do a survey or two from time to time, just for nostalgia, and besides, I don't close doors, and with the high inflation (which WILL get worse) that $25k will be like $25  Brace yourself for 25-30% inflation - a Russia war WILL happen, it will SINK the world economy into the pits and drive inflation in the 2 digits, cost of living will skyrocket, and civil unrest all over the world - value of money and spending power will be highly diminished.

When the majority of surveys are off quota, closed, etc, it's a real motivation buster I have had bloody enough, and seeing your earnings and surveys I would be quite happy and take it, your situation is not as bad as some members here, and I honestly do not know how you can keep up with all those sites combined - I have even stopped doing surveys on that other site for a bit just to wind down and take a break, something tells me that I may be back full swing, I've been in your situation before, I did scale back even quit for a while (had no choice) to attend to other opportunities, from a company I dedicated years of hard work and honesty, that finally betrayed me and played dirty with me over misinterpretations and conflicts, YET they gave chances to cheaters and people who berated them, I will never forget how DIRTY that company is and the team I was on full of two faced hypocrites and arse kissers, then I realised how sometimes better opportunity can be misleading, sometimes that grass is not greener after all. Unfortunately I see this place as a sinking ship, again that is my opinion and my impression, from the perspective of a member earning $20-$30 a day, he/she will claim different obviously, and yet that other company I freelanced for was too a sinking ship full of deceit and unfairness, I stuck with them for all these years, mind you the income was steady, part of it by unit part of it by the hour, 4 figures monthly - if I had to go back in time I would NEVER have joined that CRUMMY company or do work for them, even though I earned 5 figures over the years from them, and I would have gladly not trusted or worked with the people I have had the misfortune to meet through that company.

Don't make the same mistakes I've made, and I've made too many, mainly in trusting certain people, the ones I helped the MOST are the ones who betrayed me the most :D BTW, with that inheritance money here in Canada, you'd be homeless :P

Despite ySense's decline, at least they accept criticism and let you voice your opinion good or bad, nobody has to be an arse kisser here to gain brownie points (unlike that other company and some of its workers with king-sh*t syndrome) part of a chosen team with a symbol title meaning F*** all, of few who are no g*****mned better than the regular bunch. The sense of community here is much stronger, no hypocrite / incompetent / two faced community manager or support tainting forum with bias - here the community is genuine and everyone is after the same goal.

Cheers

I dunno I remember on some survey sites I used to give 14th Feb as my DOB, the correct year just a few days difference, though I still fail to see the relation, so what if people are born on the 14th, there is a big mystery here, can't wait to see her reply now

P.S. As far as the quality, well find another supplier, there's plenty of those in Australia :D

:(

So what's the answer to the riddle ? Nobody knows other people's ages here unless they say so, for sure some members are born here on February 14 for real or not, but it has nothing to do with Valentines ......

Not a good idea for people to reveal their DOB here or anywhere, you never know which store data as plain text, as you know very well

So please, tell us the answer  Careful relying on that text dump  it can be misleading :P

Assuming someone is born on February 14, they will say I am born on February 14, not I am born on Valentine's day, because it makes no bleepin' difference anyway, not in 2022, might as well call it Hate day, it would be more appropriate, or "FAKE day", oh no wait Retail day, yeah, February 14, December 25, December 31, January 1, all of December, RETAIL day. Making a special day for "love" is absurd, because you don't need a damn day if the love is true - besides if you love your partner and want to spoil him/her you can do so any time of the year if you want, all year round, ask the gold diggers

Still, no one caught it.

Now I am confused even more now - the suspense is thickening. I mean sure some people are born on Valentine's day, I don't know what's the big deal, it's just another day. Some people die that day, probably more people that die that day - so what's the secret here, I must have missed something. Some people are CONCEIVED on the 14th of February I guess but that's a different story. I actually meant the commercial event should be banned, not the actual day obviously, if February 14 was banned, than people born on that day would never have a birthday, but I guess they would just celebrate on the 13th or the 15th........so what is the big reveal now ? (I'm still pretty gosh darned confused)

As expert all I can say.... Free market wins :D :D , plus you get bonus , perfect mental health

You are no example Tasman1, you've already fallen into the marriage trap  For sure the free market is cheaper, but watch out, it's tricky it can actually end up costing you more if you fancy gold diggers

You want the cheapest outcome ? Stay single, and invest $20k-$25k into a custom made real doll, it might be the best investment you have made, and no argument there, FAR cheaper than marriage or casual dating or for some, the "free market" as you call it :P You cannot buy true love or true friendship with money or gifts, this only buys you booty that day instead of you sleeping on the couch :P or out on the veranda with the funnel web spiders!

As far as the mental health part, spot on, you nailed it, that part is very important, because the moment you listen to the bullshit and say "I DO", you know your mental health has taken a toll, it's dropped down by 50%, right off the bat :D

Yeah I guess world is back to normal, on February 14, it's chocolates and jewelry, and on the 15th you sign the divorce papers

If you love someone truly, you don't NEED to buy them ******* chocolate or flowers, it's what you do all year long - how many people really buy stuff because they WANT TO, because they feel good about it, vs. they feel the need to because they won't get any and sleep on the couch (or in the chest freezer) ?

valerie wrote: If u r born on a leap year Feb 29, you have the option of celebrating your birthday on Feb 28th or March 1st.

Google 'St Valentine' some time to understand exactly what Valentine's Day represents. Most people don't know.

Exactly, the same can be said about Christmas - the problem is, these have been transformed into a retail holiday and a fake mask.

This is an excerpt from the text:
Quote:
his Saints' Day has been associated with a tradition of courtly love.

No, more like a tradition to spend a lot of money buying material because your partner expects it, people show love with chocolates and flowers that die off in 2 days, and chocolates that go down the chute the same way they entered at the top. If people need a single day to show "courtly love" then something is wrong. Sure if you look online you will find the roots of these traditions, but these roots have been mangled to the benefit of the retail industry - it benefits retail more than it benefits love - it's not love, if the very next day couples are back to their old ways.

Another tradition that should be banned - birthdays. I mean why would anybody want to celebrate their progressive demise ? Every birthday you are one step closer to your crypt, them worms are waiting anxiously and salivating
So why celebrate you getting closer to your death ? Even the death is an industry, operated by the mob, they are the ones who are celebrating - I mean why are people celebrating their birthdays - I mean that is fine if you are 5 years old, 10 years old, 15 years old, but it wears off eventually. There are 2 sides of the story, whilst you are getting closer to your death, for some, they cannot count the days - for example, a 25 years old on his/her birthday would say "still have another 50 miserable years to go, can't happen fast enough", it's common for people to wish you happy birthday and say "May you have many happy returns" "May you have another 50", another 50 what ? :lol; So yeah birthdays, another retail event, though much less that the other holidays and events.

As far as leap yer birthdays, I know that obvious - was just brainstorming on the possibility of having people choose to celeberate their birthday (I mean demise) every 4 years instead.

The only moment in life where a birthday is something to celebrate, is when they discover the fountain of youth, and when the life expectancy will be 300 years old (meaning 300 years old will be today's 80 years old) only problem is, how are you gonna save enough money to last you that long - so you see - this is a damned if you do damned if you don't. A birthday is not a day to celebrate, because you are one step closer to the worms munching on you, or for your ashes to be on display and long forgotten.

Happy Birthday, you are one step closer to making your funeral director happy and pretend to care :D

You fall in love with their bodies - it works both ways you know - that's not love Tasman1  See, people confuse lust and physical attraction with actual true love - Valentine's Day could also be one of those "Hey we haven't shagged in 5 years, we might as well do it today why not" kind of days - so yeah maybe the 14th has some advantages for some, an excuse to actually show your love, because you didn't for a whole year - it's only that days like these are just commercial, because there is always expectations of a gift - Same for Mother's Day, Father's Day, why do people need "days", how about Dog day, Cat day, etc, can't people appreciate their mum & dad all year long, why the need for a day ? the whole thing is commercial - and for Christmas it's the expectations of gifts, getting stoned cold and drunk for some - and once that time of year passes people revert back to their grumpy selves, do people know the true meaning of these holidays other than retailers siphoning your wallet with their shoddy products and crap ?

Do you really need to buy a huge bouquet of flowers and a huge box of turtles chocolate to show your love ? WELL you can do so because your partner loves these things, but that still does not prove your love, proving your love is through actions you do on a daily basis, it's not based on what you do for ONE day in a year because it's Valentine's Day, because it is just that, Valentine's Day, not love day. and for couples in a toxic relationship where the guy beats his partner to the pulp, he can act fake that day and show his "love", and resume his beating until the following Valentine's Day next year. It's pathetic really - Be it a man or a woman, either way, you can figure out quickly if your partner loves you for your gifts and your body and bank account or for your true self - and the odds are usually not in your favour  So before you "fall in love" with those 10-20 blondes, you better have something to show for, and your willy isn't enough, you need to up the ante a little (no pun intended)

For the rest, you nailed it - Valentine's Day is just another "Commercial" BS day - Why do we need a dedicated day for people to express their love, can't it be done any time of year - this is a commercialised day for retailers to fill their pockets - TRUE love is not about buying expensive diamonds or chocolates on the 14th though, so yeah, happy whatever day - Happy COVID Valentine's Day and on the 15th, people are back to their true character, just likeafter xmas, when people remove their fake masks.

That is quite amazing indeed, because normally after 90 days of inactivity, your account would be suspended and all balances cleared. On some sites it's after 60 days. I think on CS it was 60 days or 90 days, maybe Valerie can remember, but on CS after consecutive days of inactivity your account was suspended and balance cleared to 0. I thought it was the same policy here on ySense. It's always safer to cash out all balance, or at least log in once in a while to keep account active.

Actually, I have shocked seeing this, some user (my friend) was connected with my Wifi. Seeing this, I immediately search online about how to remove them and an article help me to remove them. Now my internet is running smoothly.

Please don't tell me that your WIFI is open / public - If so, that's a very bad idea and asking for trouble. Set your WIFI to private with strong password and security, you could also cloak it to make it invisible (not from professional hackers mind you) but should do the trick against most people looking for open wifis to connect to, and use a strong password :D

I have a WIFI router, but I always use a wired connection to computer and to smart TV, and the rest of devices is WIFI, but I always use a protected WIFI with strong password.

Do you wonder what your friend was doing with all that bandwidth ?

"100% polyester Wash inside out, remove child before washing, made in China" Yes folks, always remember to remove your child from their clothes before washing them - This reminds me of the warning to remove candy wrapper before eating :P

ALso, the toilet bowl on display "Ask an associate for a demonstration"

oh that "click, pick, deliver" sign - the c and the l are too close, making it look like a d - I mean how didn't the designer notice this ? he/she would have noticed even both drunk and high !

This is in reality same problem with vaccine ,more they push it to be mandatory more we will resist , end will be in world wide revolution in 2022 ...... told that last year

War China - USA -Russia .....

The whole vaccine issue is tricky. Right now mandatory vaccines is pointless, it's a waste of bloody time - Let's rewind back to the first strain of COVID19, the original strain, which the vaccines were designed for, in an ideal world, if most of the world was vaccinated at the time, would have reached herd immunity and been in a better position - it would have been a short pandemic, and no time for new variants to emerge - so vaccine mandates would have worked from day 1. Fast forward years later to 2022, the current vaccines are weak, in the sense that they do not give you enough neutralising protection against the virus, only protection against severity, which means the virus continues to infect and spread regardless of vaccination - so imposing a vaccine mandate will change NOTHING, the virus will continue to spread and mutate - The only thing a vaccine mandate will achieve is reduce hospital admissions, if you consider that more than 50% of non vaccinated people make up for hospital admissions in some areas, so unclogging of health care. BUT vaccination alone will not stop the virus. It's pointless to impose vaccination on an outdated vaccine. Also new studies show that frequent doses of boosters can compromise your immunity and create cell exhaustion - too many boosters might make you more VULNERABLE to infections. Anything past the 2 initial dose + booster would be pointless and too risky, so we cannot spend our entire life getting booster doses every 3-6 months.

So the whole making vaccines mandatory and imposing vaccination passports is a complete and utter waste of time - it's USELESS - Vaccinated people spread the virus just as much, if not more! Imposing testing is one thing, it would help but vaccination, would TEMPORARILY reduce hospitalisations, but in the long run if people's immunity gets compromised by too many vaccines, it will have the opposite effect.

The sad reality now that most countries are heading towards - collateral damage - meaning they declare the pandemic an endemic - and loosen restrictions or remove them - with the goal that mass population gets infected and re-infected and builds natural immunity, hoping that eventually this wall of natural immunity will protect us from future variants, and that the virus will become another endemic one, like the Flu, only requiring 1 shot a year (optional). The problem here, is that this means more vulnerable people will die, I do not think any innocent person should die, but in the end they can never make vaccines fast enough or last long enough to end this pandemic.

As far as social distancing and mask wearing in my opinion this should remain permanent and enforced, at least until this pandemic reaches an endemic stage around the world, like the Flu, but we could be wearing masks for a few more year sto come - I'd rather wear masks and social distance than get a booster shot every 3 months. I already got my 2 doses of vaccine - vaccine neutralising efficacy after 20 weeks = 0%, 3rd dose brings neutralising efficacy up 60%-70%, for a few weeks, then down. I got my 3 bloody doses, enough is enough. Hoping that this pandemic is nearing an endemic stage.......This could happen this year or next, who knows.

and no Mr. Trump, I haven't tried your Chlorox trick yet  Though between the Pfizer treatment and that, I'd choose the Chlorix :P (note sarcasm).

DISCLAIMER: Do not try this - do not do this anywhere, anyplace, anytime or on any planet :D

JamisonMoen wrote: Hello Friends, recently I am facing a serious problem on my computer. I am noticing for a few days sometimes my internet speed is dropping. I don't understand why this is happening. Can anyone help me friends to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One would need amazing psychic abilities - there are too many variables to look at. First, have you contacted your ISP first ? How did you determine your actual internet speed was dropping ? Are you sure it is not your computer that has slowed down ? Have you downloaded / installed anything recently ? Is your computer secured and scanned for viruses, malware, spyware, etc ? Have you tried resetting your router and modem ? What kind of internet do you have ? Dial-up, DSL, Cable, fibre, sat, etc...? Some ISPs oversubscribe customers, some areas might be saturated which may cause a general slowdown if everyone is using their internet in that given cell. Some ISPs throttle down the speed for heavy users or if you exceed your specific cap - these policies vary from one ISP to another. You must troubleshoot to make sure the issue is not on your PC first - make sure you do not have something on your PC that is not sucking all that bandwidth without your knowledge. Are you using torrents / P2P software ? After you have troubleshooted your PC, you should contact your ISP so they can evaluate your signal quality, it could be an issue on their side or on your side.
Is this slowdown only an issue during specific hours or continuous ?
