A six-year-old girl was left distraught and in tears after she was involved in an experiment which looked at how the public reacted to her when she changed her appearance.
In the heart-breaking experiment for UNICEF, the child actress named Anano, who is nicknamed Anna, pretended to be lost on the street.
She alternated between stylish and adorable children's wear to dirty, unkempt clothes to see how members of the public would react to her predicament when she looked different.
People quickly approached a well-dressed Anna while she stood alone on the roadside in Tbilisi, Georgia, asking her age and if she was lost.
But when she put make-up on to make her look dirty and changed into mis-matched clothes people ignored her.
They then moved the experiment to a restaurant.
People again acted very warmly towards Anna when she was wearing a nice pale pink floral jacket.
The strangers happily let her sit down next to them, made her laugh by telling her jokes and hugged her.
Strangers were not so forth-coming when the six-year-old returned in her dirty clothes.
One woman can be seen grabbing her handbag out of Anna's reach and a man can be seen directing her away from his table.
One man appears to signal a staff member over, saying: "Come, take her out please."
The reaction left Anna so upset that she ran out of the restaurant in tears and the experiment was called off.
