Tax Fact , Australia

Many Australian taxes

Australians pay at least 125 different taxes each year. Of these, 99 are levied by the Australian government (including 67 agricultural levies), 25 by the States and 1 (council rates) by local government. The exact number of taxes is difficult to determine and may be higher than these estimates. This reflects ambiguity in distinguishing when a payment to government represents a separate tax or part of a broader tax and whether a payment is a tax rather than a fee for service (see Box 2.2 for further discussion). The estimates above take a conservative approach to these issues and therefore may understate the number of taxes paid by Australians.

Similarly, the estimates treat equivalent taxes levied by different States as one tax rather than up to eight different taxes. From the perspective of individuals or businesses operating across more than one jurisdiction, equivalent taxes levied by different States might be viewed as separate taxes, since they need to be accounted for separately and typically differ in terms of rates, thresholds and exemptions. Viewed from this perspective, there could be as many as 160 different state taxes (excluding local government rates) and 259 taxes nationally (excluding local government rates).

I would say most average middle class citizens in the USA could get along just fine if
it wasn't for the ever increasing tax's and insurance.

Car Insurance
House Insurance
Health Insurance
Property Tax
Sales Tax

I understand why people move to Alaska in the wilderness.

They say no man is an island. However, I think if I was stranded on an island, I'd like
it just fine, as long as I had shelter and food.

In Australia tax is not going up for the last few years, but they invented ...levy .. he he now we have 100s new levy but not tax increase
Garbage , just a garbage

Western World is dying and end is not far

All normal jobs are lost and We now invent new stupid way to give people job, fake jobs

I give western world now just around 4-5 of life .....yah , sad , one era is dying

Here is latest stupid law that will employ few poor soul

Venice, the Italian city known for its romantic canals and the Piazza San Marco, could soon impose a bizarre law targeting “boorish” tourists.

Venice’s Mayor Luigi Brugnaro, has proposed fines of between $80 to $800 for people sitting or lying on the ground, according to The Sun.

Currently people are banned from sitting in Piazza San Marco, except for designated areas. Flouting this rule attracts fines over $300.

The city’s council is expected to vote on the proposal in October, according to The Guardian

“There is such a long list of things that are forbidden in Venice there is nothing left that you can do,” Marco Gasparinetti, leader of residents’ group Gruppo Aprile 25 told The Guardian.

“They would need to hire an extra 5000 officers to properly enforce everything.”

Adios Western World . I will not cry once you are dead , time for new empire to come , East is Rising , West is dying

To finish this topic here is a fact why for me all rich and all politicians are just a bastards

Politicians

Honesty does not fit in politics simply because it is a job where the primary task of a candidate is to make himself or herself appear likeable, strong, and a person who has avoided all kinds of wrongdoing in the past
Fact that they are fake

Rich

Imagine if money were food. (Don't worry, money is much better than food.) The wealthy man has silo after silo full of grain. Meanwhile, thousands of people are poor and starving. "I built up these vast stores of food over my career as a trader. Although I could never eat all of the food they hold, it gives me great personal satisfaction to gaze upon them and reflect on my own success. But don't worry," says the rich man, "upon my death, all of my food holdings will be distributed to the poor." The people cheer his generosity. The rich man lives fifty more years. The poor starve to death each winter.

Just as the rich man could have saved the starving poor by giving them his food now, so could the rich save thousands of lives now by collectively funneling their vast resources to those in need. Society does not expect them to do that, and so they don't. In America, having, holding, and hoarding great wealth carries no shame. It is considered one's personal prerogative. The implications of all of the lives that that money is not saving as it sits in the bank are not treated as real considerations. But they should be. Starving is starving is starving.
