I am not aware of what you have read but I know in reality from some people who had Covid19 infections and had to be Hospitalized they were in a bad shape this was during the second wave which was very severe here in India all of them have some complications even 5 months after recovery,these complications are mainly due to the treatment given which was very strong one of them has a kidney problem his Kidney is not functioning properly it requires treatment so they all look sick even now due to some complications will be a long time before they could recover

Also studies have shown that for people who took the 2 doses, after 20 weeks (5 months) efficacy drops down to 0% !!! efficacy for neutralising antibodies that is, for infection, and the booster shot resets protection up 70%+ but again for only a few months - SO here's the deal, people who have been infected naturally with Omicron and survived it, will have far stronger and lasting immunity than any vaccine out there now - this is why you see countries with the least vaccination coverage have the least cases and least hospitalisations - they relied on natural immunity - unfortunately this comes at the cost of risks and deaths - BUT herd immunity causes less harm - so here for example we have more than 93-94% vaccinated (2 doses) and yet exploding cases on a daily basis, hospitalisations, deaths in the 40-50 daily, why ? Because the mass vaccination has only so far managed to protect against original COVID, and the variants that came after it, including Delta, albeit weaker, but no immunity for Omicron other than severity - Like I said, the best case scenario is for the majority of a population to get infected for natural immunity, vaccines only save lives but they delay the pandemic - and all the vaccines do also is reduce the stress in hospitals - although even with vaccines hospitals are flooding. So Omicron could be good news, if it is displacing Delta and becoming THE variant that is infecting even vaccinated people, this means eventually everyone will get it or most people will, which means we could have natural, solid protection for possibly future sub-variants, and might not need 4th dose. Problem is, if new variants have big mutations like Omicron.

This scenario is likely to happen in India and other countries with dense populations and low vaccination - if Omicron takes over Delta, it means eventually the population will reach community immunity.

Besides the vaccine they are given in India is not exactly stellar to begin with, it's weak, it's NOT going to protect you against getting infected and the protection against severity is many folds weaker than the mRNA ones.
India's way out is herd immunity, but this could take a lot of time given the population.

For US and Canada, same, best bet is for Omicorn to take over - in the UK most of Delta is displaced, but in US and Canada it could take several months for cases to start dropping, I don't see cases dropping to what they were before, until summer.

Some muppets at the WHO have suggested this is not the last of COVID. In India a Covid19 vaccine is given on a Government id Addhar only and is tracked by the government with your registered mobile number linked with Addhar but this guy belongs to a very backward state BIHAR in a rural village he used other people's id to get the extra shots because he can get only two shots on his id,its just an example of how the system works in a backward society no one bothers to check if he is showing an id of his own or someone else's they just see its an Addhar id and administer the shot and its free in these backward areas
