We are in the third wave here in India many places have non imposed curfew,I get groceries and keep them away for 10 days wash vegetables to prevent infection everything is available with risk of infection
Two ways of looking at it here infection spreading is not so important everything should be available in devloped countries curbing infection is more important even if it creates other forms of crisis
3rd wave ? We are way ahead of you here, 5th here, of course not as many cases, wow 1 million cases daily + is shocking, so much for herd immunity and vaccines (smh) let's see what next BS those big pharmas have for us this year, magic covid19 pills, anti covid sprays or you can buy an extra wish for Aladdin's Magic Lamp, $500 USD per extra rub

Yeah but don't forget to mention the full story, in his case, for some mysterious reasons, he had a condition that caused him a lot of pain, and he noticed that when he gets vaccinated it relieves his pain, he could walk again, etc, it's almost as if they are given morphine instead of vaccine So seeing how the vaccine makes him feel good and pain free, he managed to go to different centres and continue getting jabs as it relieved him. That's quite strange and unheard of, I was reading the news yesterday and was shocked, how did this guy get 15 or was it 18 shots and no get severe effects. It kinda makes you wonder if in India, they are actually giving the real vaccine or if it is a dud vaccine or something else, maybe morphine Well assuming he got the real vaccine, then the good news is that he won't need booster shots anytime soon I don't think he would have found it pleasant if it were an mRNA vaccine, with that many doses he would have had severe effects - though if you think about it, he would have tons of neutralising antibodies, but in the end, it's not the quantity, because after all this vaccine is optimised for original strain, and does not do much for Omicron anyway - the only vaccine is a big sham anyway, we are given the same useless, now weak vaccine that was meant for original strain and still gave good protection for Delta, but for Omicron, it's pretty much useless other than the protection from severe cases. Also studies have shown that for people who took the 2 doses, after 20 weeks (5 months) efficacy drops down to 0% !!! efficacy for neutralising antibodies that is, for infection, and the booster shot resets protection up 70%+ but again for only a few months - SO here's the deal, people who have been infected naturally with Omicron and survived it, will have far stronger and lasting immunity than any vaccine out there now - this is why you see countries with the least vaccination coverage have the least cases and least hospitalisations - they relied on natural immunity - unfortunately this comes at the cost of risks and deaths - BUT herd immunity causes less harm - so here for example we have more than 93-94% vaccinated (2 doses) and yet exploding cases on a daily basis, hospitalisations, deaths in the 40-50 daily, why ? Because the mass vaccination has only so far managed to protect against original COVID, and the variants that came after it, including Delta, albeit weaker, but no immunity for Omicron other than severity - Like I said, the best case scenario is for the majority of a population to get infected for natural immunity, vaccines only save lives but they delay the pandemic - and all the vaccines do also is reduce the stress in hospitals - although even with vaccines hospitals are flooding. So Omicron could be good news, if it is displacing Delta and becoming THE variant that is infecting even vaccinated people, this means eventually everyone will get it or most people will, which means we could have natural, solid protection for possibly future sub-variants, and might not need 4th dose. Problem is, if new variants have big mutations like Omicron.
This scenario is likely to happen in India and other countries with dense populations and low vaccination - if Omicron takes over Delta, it means eventually the population will reach community immunity.
Besides the vaccine they are given in India is not exactly stellar to begin with, it's weak, it's NOT going to protect you against getting infected and the protection against severity is many folds weaker than the mRNA ones.
India's way out is herd immunity, but this could take a lot of time given the population.
For US and Canada, same, best bet is for Omicorn to take over - in the UK most of Delta is displaced, but in US and Canada it could take several months for cases to start dropping, I don't see cases dropping to what they were before, until summer.
Some muppets at the WHO have suggested this is not the last of COVID. We will just have to learn to live with it, in a world of selfish knobs where people don't follow rules to protect themselves AND others, so let's continue living in pandemic and learning new Greek alphabets and maybe when they run out of alphabets, we can start learning alphabets of other countries, hopefully in 500, maybe 1000 years we will have managed to defeat COVID and return back to normal.

To be honest hope I will quit.... I do not enjoy this anymore , not sure why , I am bored doing this
Congrats on your good day, finally
Tell me Tasman1, who enjoys this really ? One has to be sadistic to enjoy the frustration of going through so many links to get a qualifying survey, that and dealing with all the rubbish - same for the working class, I mean 90% of people working do not enjoy what they do, but what else is there to do, it's better than nothing it's extra $$$ you would not get otherwise, and even for the wealthy like yourself, it still keeps you busy and your brain active which is important at that age, and most important, it keeps you out of trouble I must admit though some surveys are interesting and fun to take, but to be honest too, most aren't - and if our opinions really made a difference, the world would be better, most of the surveys are loaded and biased anyway to lead answers and justify companies' misconduct and unethical practices, I mean do the politicians really care, do companies really care, maybe mom & pop companies care, but big companies couldn't give a crap as long as they meet their bottom line's objective year to year.
Good luck on your future days doing surveys you enjoy so much, until you quit - I've been there before, and I came back, after being betrayed by a company I invested 4 years of my life with and did so much for them, believe me I would rather earn 4 figures freelancing than crummy surveys, and if I was wealthy I would too come do a few surveys just for nostalgia
Hope to get some inheritance in next few month , around 30-32000 dollars from Croatia , 80% finished papers , my son live now there and he is doing all papers , hope all be finished soon but we all know haw fast is bureaucracy working

Tornado, then heavy rain, and now very cold and up to 5 inches snow.
The high today is only 23 F degrees. Tonight the low is 9 F degrees.
I filled some containers with water, just in case of pipe freeze.
