Some doctors rush towards the surgery, because they want the $$$$ ;) Lower back pain is COMMON, for some it is chronic inflammation, for some it is life long, unfortunately surgery in that area comes with a high risk. Hopefully it is just an inflammation and not something more serious like herniated discs. In no time you will be good to go and hit the 300 lbs dead lifts :D

Hi Darkstar, And thank's for your concern :)

3 weeks have passed now and i'm starting to feel i bit better when moving around, But i don't think it's common back-pain.

it went from having no problem sprinting up the stars to the 4th floor, To 1 step at a time like an old crippled man, Aaaargh why am i living on the 4th floor.

My balance is off and it just feels wonky trying to walk normally, Still waiting for the result of the X-rays on Monday.

I don't think surgery is on my doctors mind anyway, Probably more like physical therapy or something which quickly can get quite costly depending on how long many times it's needed (surgery would at least in my case be covered by the tax i'm paying).

Sad to hear about your injury, If it's any comfort you're not the only one.

2 weeks ago i was washing my face while bending over my kitchen sink, Suddenly my back was struck by an intensive pain i've never experienced before, Can't stand up for more than 1 hour before i need to lie flat down on my back.

Hoped it would go away (as it always does), But that did not happen, Now it's x-rays on Monday and probably physical therapy unless something else is wrong.

On the + side my doctor is an extremely gorgeous woman in her mid-thirties, It does help a little.

That corona mask she's wearing, Only adds to her charm :D

LOL!! Karma is a bitch.

Just like Boris Johnson who bragged about shaking hands with corona patients, Until he contracted it himself

Apparently the so called "sniffle" was serious enough to put him in under intensive care in a hospital in London.

This is very sad I am sorry about your uncle. The situation you describe if the same in many countries including here, unfortunately, not many people follow guidelines, though in Canada it seems to be less worse than in the U.S., look at Florida. Unfortunately U.S. is misguided by a leader who claims the pandemic is over and COVID19 has vanished.
Hopefully in Canada our PM will keep borders shut, not for 1 month but whatever it takes, years, we do not want people to come here, from countries who's COVID19 numbers are worsening.

What you describe is one sad reality, eventually hospitals will work at overloaded capacity, they will have a choice to make and only take COVID19 patients, and if there is lack of equipment they will treat younger folks first.

Major respect to people who work in these hospitals, what the have to put up with and work under overloaded capacity.

Densely populated countries like India, are having it really bad with this virus, BUT there might be hope, MAYBE eventually herd immunity can be reached, SADLY lots will die and be infected. But there are pharmas in India, hopefully a candidate vaccine is approved for production and used FIRST in countries with the most infections of COVID19 !

Stay safe, I think the biggest mistake was for world leader to ease restrictions too soon, if people accepted a big sacrifice and stay 2-3 more months on lock down, I think a surge and second wave would be avoided,
providing that during ease of restrictions strict rules are enforced.

BUT how can you enforce strict rules in densely populated countries ? It is very sad to see so many innocent lives being taken by this virus.

Hope ? Take China as an example, they have the so-called second wave under control.........How ? With STRICT guidelines ENFORCED.......If other countries follow the same path, within weeks they can help bring this under control. A second wave does not have to be worse than the first.

Given the attitude of Western world, I am pessimistic !

I am glad to say that I follow guidelines and distancing, and will continue to do so.
When the hell are people going to understand that you can have COVID19 without any symptoms, AND you can SPREAD IT to others, and never get symptoms yourself.

I STRONGLY believe that anybody who does not follow rules should be accused of 3rd degree manslaughter.

Would be cool having Copenhagen all by myself (Could get a little boring in the long run)

Sorry to hear about your uncle's death, Hope you had a lot of good moments with him before he left this world.

It seems that many people think this virus is over and done with already, Here where i live people seems to have gotten tired of covid-19 and social distancing. Don't take long for big city people to get bored to death (It's also 29 degrees outside).

But how many have been tested??, Remember that it's actually only very few people who develop a serious condition from covid-19 and requires hospital treatment, Or maybe if they're unlucky enough also a ventilator.

And in what condition of the patients is this tested, Is it on people who is in ICU, People on ventilators, Or just people who are under observation.

If it's tested thoroughly in each situation on thousands of patients with a 100% recovery, I think i'm going to sing India's national anthem.

I get plenty of that junk and quickly deletes them without paying attention to any of them.

My Nigerian uncle(Which by a stroke of luck is also a prince) is probably wondering why i'm not responding to his email about my $100.000.000 fortune i inherited from him last week.

What annoys me even more is stubborn phone-sellers, I have this company who have persistently called me twice each day for the past 5 weeks, Have not picked up the phone a single time and they're still calling

Darkstar2 wrote: Trump is exhausted I think he wants out but won't admit it. He's probably already packing his bags and before you know it, he'll be back to reality TV series - Let's face it, unlike ALL politicians, he doesn't need the money, he is not in it for the money, and what's the use to be in it if he is constantly being side railed by the media and the far left who doesn't know better, so yeah I think he knows that this pandemic might trail on for another year, maybe two, he knows that if he wins, 2021 would spent on possible a new lockdown, pandemic, unrest..... I think deep inside he wants out, but Trump is NOT a quitter, and he will never admit defeat. He did not even think of being President in the first place. It was a suggestion made by a journalist that gave him the idea and he took it, though he did not expect to spend the last year of his presidency dealing with this bullshit, so yeah I would not be surprised if all that is happening now is diversion to cause chaos and get pave way for his exit, I mean face it, his popularity has gone down the toilet, it is very low, he might as well skip the election - Even his own party has turned against him, and past republican Presidents even stated publicly that they would support Biden......... It would take a MIRACLE for Trump to win though. Unfortunately now, even a vaccine and full recovery of economy and markets won't repair the damage done - because people have short memories and can betray in an instant, the delusional voters THINK that Sleepy Joe, the Messiah, will save them - the same delusional voters who believed the money truck operator Bernie Sanders was going to save Corporate America, when in fact he was going to DESTROY IT. Oh well, put yourself in Trump's shoes, why would you possibly want to be re-elected when you know that you are being sidelined, betrayed, when fake news and mass propaganda is destroying all your efforts, when you know you will deal with another 1-2 year of this gd pandemic and its aftermath ?

Maybe Biden will turn out to be another Obama (YAWN!) Plain vanilla, play it safe, get nothing done, and plunge the country into Status Quo, instead of aiming for PROGRESS, you know, kinda like our PM here :D

You've heard the term God Bless America before ? Now it's more like God Help America, no matter who wins, the only winner here for now is COVID19, the virus is now running the whole show, those who believe Biden can do a better job are delusional - China has had some of the best measures to control the pandemic within, yet now they are facing a new comeback of the virus, months after vanishing - so yeah the virus is calling the shots, neither Trump nor Biden can make it go away. I also believe that Biden secretly agrees with Trump those who think that Biden will undo Trump's efforts, that it will help relations with China, etc, you are mistaken.

In the end all these politicians opposing one another are good friends behind the scenes !!!

Biden should host his own late night show for people having problems falling asleep, out with Bernie and back to status quo so the rich can keep filling their pockets.

Congrats to the communist state of US , (But remember) only 2 free cars per household (same model).

2nd wave probably on it's way since 15.000 people showed their support to black lives matter in an demonstration a few days ago, According to their front-person it was 5.000, then it was 15.000 and finally it was supposedly 50.000 because the police lied to the press.

I'm all for equal right no matter what the f... your skin color is, But seriously they need to get rid of their spokes-person here in Denmark (she is outright mentally disturbed), She even admitted that she have had serious depressions all her life.

But how cab we even trust the numbers from China??

There have also been talk about that the virus was already present in the country back in October.

Interesting right now is what the effect will be on reopening most activities, Only thing still closed in Denmark are indoors swimming pools, fitness centers and large gatherings, But in 1 week they're allowed again.

Soccer leagues are also returning in both Spain, Italy and England (Even Tour de France in end of August).

Rushed vaccine - Will you get one if it happens ? » Post #3

Sat Jun 13, 2020 16:26 in General Talk

I'm not against vaccines, But at this stage and given the situation i would personally not take one.

I don't have diabetes, My lungs are fine, I'm not overweight, And thankfully no underlying health issues i know of, I could of course still succumb to the corona virus but might have a better chance winning the big prize in our national lottery,.

I think it's a personal take, And for some like my mom it would maybe be a better idea getting one given she has diabetes and is in her mid sixties.

I've been trying to explain to her (At the moment) that the virus is slowly losing it's grip, there is always a risk as soon as you leave through your front-door (And it does not even have to be corona-related).

But again it's also depends on where in the world you reside, We have absolutely no clue about the real numbers as many countries tries to hide it and many countries simply don't have the capacity for decent testing and tracing.

Our numbers at the moment is about :

50 people hospitalized
10 in intensive care
4 on ventilators
about 20-30 new infections daily
about 600 deaths

Color is no different than a shoe size. It's just as stupid to say I don't like him because
he is black as it is to say I don't like him because he wears size 15 shoe.

I my opinion in reality we are Me Society , it is Me and only Me that matter and rest is just our propaganda

One person one country is what we humans will like and in good times we will send our dirty socks or underpants to poor

We are born evil and we will stay evil and rest is just fake talk

And Valerie , man who wears size 15 shoe I will never like , that is not my size and I see no point to rob him

To some extent i agree with your statement about our selfishness as humans, I just don't think that all/some are born inherently evil.

Biologically our self-esteem is stimulated every time we do something to help another person, And this goes for nearly all actions we take whether it's helping someone, making small white lies to make others feel good, Or just having sex with each other, All studies confirms that most often these traits are absent or percieved differently in people with psychological disorders as you see in psychopaths who commit more serious crimes

So we humans are basically emotional junkies constantly looking for our daily endorphin boost, without it we would just be empty shells who wouldn't care one F.... about others and their misery.

We give something, And we want something, It's kind of an emotional marketing for drugs instead of hard cash.
