Yeah :P people will then have an opportunity to sell their surplus stock on eBay for crazy prices, they can label the "toilet paper I bought during Corona" to justify inflated prices so the suckers will take the bait on eBay

Buses are now your private limousine with plenty of space, There's only you and the driver. found it hard to not shout "JAMES take me home now please"

   Beam me back Scotty ! Yeah - I heard in some parts of Canada public transport is FREE even, they have people entering the bus using the back doors - But don't think that public transport will keep running this way just to work as a personal limousine service :P Eventually they will shut down public transport, if you want to go places you will need to either drive your car, use Uber or walk.

Did you watch "I am Legend" with Will Smith ? This is EXACTLY what is going to happen, be careful when you are out there alone. The movie was a premonition of what's to come

But apparently they are very shy and do everything they can to avoid you (It was not like the movies at all).

Then you haven't seen the movie :P Be careful they play with your mind and want you to THINK they are not harmful, but they'll come and get you alright!

maybe this virus is not that bad as we make it to be???, I'm not denying that some countries have had a terrible

It might actually be the opposite, far worse than we thought, it is now starting to claim more young people's lives who were otherwise very healthy. America is dropping like dead flies, the number o cases are growing by the thousands each day, deaths are soaring, and a researcher today died of it. We are now living the Zombie Apocalypse !

experience controlling this bastard!!!, But when i look at the numbers i can't help the feeling that this is just a tad overblown???, When i walk around in the inner city i see a lot of people that just go about their daily life as they always do (They don't look that frightened).

That's part of the problem, people should be. Maybe in your country the amount of cases are not as critical, though over 1000 cases vs. nearly 10,000 in the U.S., but still people should play it safe. You can carry and spread the virus without ANY symptoms - at this rate it is true that 2/3 of the planet will be infected, though it is said most will heal, but apparently with this virus you do not build immunity, there were cases of people getting it a second time within weeks apart, this is VERY concerning - this means that a vaccine would be pointless, if this type of virus mutates rapidly. The only hope would be a TREATMENT. A vaccine is not for at least 1-2 years, by that time the virus will have mutated and replicated to multiple strains and infected 2/3 of this planet, who knows, including animals (the ones we normally eat) :)

Just take Sweden as an example, Well Sweden have chosen to react the exact opposite of nearly every other country and don't make that big of a fuss about it, Okay at least they have banned gatherings of 500 people or more, While we in Denmark are down to 10.

They should ban ANY gathering of more than 1, yourself. You know in some movies how they have you frozen and locked in some contraption - this is how it should be - they should lock people in capsules for 3 weeks to be safe, until this all comes to pass. Mandatory isolation, this will solve the problem ! As long as anybody is FREE to roam outside his/her house/cage, this mf of a virus will spread.

Quote:
But the mass-hysteria media machine needs frightened people at the moment, And if you are not obeying you're a f....... scumbag and don't care about anyone but yourself, Well according to these self-proclaimed pandemic experts which are rising on social media faster than the number of people infected with Covid19.

It's true that media is a fear mongering mass propaganda machine, but in this case it is true that the virus is more serious - it is a genuine fear, HOWEVER, it is the way people are reacting to it that is totally the opposite. People are in panic mode and going crazy, some are refusing isolation or listening to advice, they are incubators and spreaders of the virus. Remember that this mf of a virus does not spread on its own - it is people who are spreading it.....

This is the time where media is actually under reporting cases, why ? Because there are several thousands of people who are waiting for their results or not tested yet. So all those cases you hear about are confirmed cases, they don't account for the several thousands cases that are pending, this is why you can see cases DOUBLING from one day to another, giving you the impression that the virus is spreading fast, when in reality these were people ALREADY infected but who were not tested or not received results yet....

There are more cases in Europe than China. Canada was doing well, now it is getting worse and worse, cases have gone up 6x the past couple of days, again this could be due to existing infections not being confirmed yet. The media does not insist much on that, all they are doing is reporting new cases, so it makes it seem like there are "NEW" cases, when most of these cases are pre-existing.......so people panic and go "OMG OMG 600 new cases today OMG I am going to dieeeeeeeeeeee" This is how the media manipulates information. BUT you better believe this virus is real business, it's SERIOUS, it's more serious than we thought, and the WHO lied and tried hard to minimise things to avoid panic and market collapse Had it declared a world emergency sooner, the whole world would have taken action EARLY and really helped stop the spread. BUT they waited until disaster happens - well now it's kinda too little too late,
the cases have not reached their PEAK yet, because there are who knows hundreds of thousands who have not tested yet, some will never bother being tested and continue spreading the virus.

The good news, the world won't have to deal with Bernie Sanders, the socialist with a potty mouth, the bad news, America will likely deal with a democratic win - this is really going to slow market recovery but at least the market won't plummet an extra 40% over a Sanders win

Darkstar2!! it's hard to give a precise number of deaths worldwide each year, But it's in the millions (Covid19 has now killed around 9000 in 3 months), The reason i use this reference is NOT!! to discard this pandemic in any way by downsizing something that in the future could become a real problem.

Do these numbers scare me?? The hell they don't. We need to wait at least a little longer before we start to lose our heads and see where this is going (maybe you can find me in a bunker in 3 months time :D ).

If our governments wanted the full control over it's population they should cover all types of the flu 24/7 like we do with covid19, We would be pissing in our pants all day long without being able to do anything constructive than raiding all shelves of toilet-paper.

My biggest problem with this is more the mob-mentality that creates panic and excludes anyone else as simple morons regardless whether their case is valid or not.

These people are so clever!!!

1. Lot of other people in cramped surroundings (let's infect some more)

2. Screaming, Fighting and yelling in each others face (excellent conditions for transmitting it to others)

I think the virus itself might be a lot smarter than us??? (at least it's not harvesting toilet-paper).

Should we do all we can to minimize the spread? = Yes of course.

Should we take a little break from social media once in a while? = I think it will do us good.

Should we think for ourselves and try to be a little rational in situations like this? = It's a better alternative than the opposite.

Denmark are in lock down until the 31 of march, And then everything will return to normal again, Isn't that great!!

Stay obedient and do what your government tells you to do!!, Our government are in complete control(The hell they ain't), That's also why they stopped the normal testing so that no one knows how many infected there currently are.

So from next month we just pretend nothing is wrong, It will be fun for sure :D

You're probably right, I was just wondering if it was a cultural thing more than a basic need for survival.

Many Chinese also believes it's good for their potency or general health to eat certain obscure things, If it's documented or undocumented i don't know.

Nahh!! only met the devil with his violin, Wasn't really up for the challenge and had to turn his offer down.

For the food deliverance there seems to be problem as it is now, It's private firms that handles the delivery of food to your door and not something the state has arranged for. But if you catch Covid19 and have to quarantine yourself while running out of food you're in sort of dilemma if no one else is able to do the shopping for you.

Yeahh!!, Post apocalyptic Copenhagen is a lot of fun these days

Okay!! correct me if i'm wrong?.

but is it a shortage of food that creates the demand for these wet-markets??, are this kind of food cheap compared to more common food like the usual beef/chicken whatever??

It's official - 4.5 billion people to die of virus » Post #21

josealvesjr wrote: The corona virus seems to target all age groups but its mortality rate is on its absolute highest among the elderly.
Most of these elderly ( in care centers, rest homes or at home)are the recipients and not a source. Most of them were not recently on holidays or on the move. Relatives, children etc. visiting them transmit undeliberatly of course the virus. Therefore many countries strongly advice not to visit grandpa and grandma for the moment.Assuming this is all true why do so many countries close their schools, universities etc. and public/ social live comes to a stand still??

Quote:
Chart of U.S. coronavirus deaths
Average age of those who died: 78.00 years old
Average age of men who died: 72.97 years old
Average age of women who died: 82.24 years old

To get a rough average estimate, when a range was given for a person, i.e. a person in their 70s, we used 74.5 as that person’s age, i.e. halfway between 70 and 79. The exception was for the man from Placer County, California. We were told he was in his “early 70s” so we assigned an age of 71.5 for him for averaging purposes.

I've heard a lot of it already!! ;) , And the biggest of our problems is the spread as it is quite contagious.

What we don't need is a population that goes into total lock down mode and here the media has it's share of responsibility to inform the population and not creating sensationalism just for click baits.

In today's social media it's not so much the truth that matters, It's much much more the majority of the public opinion regardless of the source is credible or not (Hive mind).

Glad to hear you're ok!!, Maybe some of the symptoms are caused a little by anxiety as well ;)

Should China be sued for the Coronavirus ? » Post #8

You can find a counter-argument for anything if you want, Plenty to pick from.

And before we sue anyone we need to find out where/what the virus originated from????, I will now sue the Chinese government for cancelling all soccer matches in our national league, And i wouldn't be surprised if the European championship this summer will be cancelled to.

Heard that the US have suspended the rest of the season in NBA also.

Pay up!! China, i perfectly understand if 5 million Euros is too much, 3 will be alright.
