Lottery Machines inside Walmart » Post #8

I think gambling is getting a bit out of hand recently as nearly all commercials in TV is about betting/casino sites, Rest is for "Stupid" quick loans when you lost your money on gambling(guess it makes sense).

I can name 20+ gambling sites from memory without problems (But there's probably around 40 if not more), Quite a lot in a small market like Denmark. And of course they're mostly located in Malta

I just described how spineless big companies have become and what they're willing to do for maximum profit (Literally selling out).

Big problem with big corporations today is that they often have investors who put money into the company, And these investors expect a bigger annual profit each year. It's not about making a lot of money, It's not about breaking even on the bottom-line compared to the previous year, It's about "MAKING MORE" each year no matter how you do it.

And Amazon is consumed by the very same greed, Just take a look at the working conditions in some of his warehouses and tell me it's not modern slavery.

But i'm afraid there's nothing we can do about it as online business is booming like never before, And the new key-word is "CHEAP", Amazon is planning to take over almost every aspect of trade and media just like other big companies like Facebook and Google.

We have 2 electronic stores left in Denmark trying to compete with the giants, I give them around 5 years before they have to close.

   The French revolution, Are we not civilized???, How dare you express your opinion (Cry-baby)

It's not politics i want to talk about and i already know how it is with the Chinese government.

This is about how far Activision/Blizzard is willing to go to rake in extra money no matter what.

You don't ban your customers for a whole year and take their prize money if you want a healthy business.

Major game developers Activision/Blizzard has come under heavy fire after banning and taking away the prize money from a Chinese contestant after he expressed his support of liberation of Hong-kong and the protest going on at the moment. Reason for the ban was that he violated their rules according to Blizzard themselves, But truth is that A Chinese company owns 25% of the stocks in Activision, And if Activision don't bow to the Chinese Government they will lose a lot of money. AND THAT'S ALL THAT COUNTS FOR THESE GREEDY BASTARDS, Activision is an American company and should defend freedom of speech and not oppress it for the sake of money

After Hearthstone player’s ban, Blizzard is in hot water with lawmakers - The Verge

I don't know whether talking about politics in this forum is allowed.
I will share my opinion.
I agree with free speech, but there should be a bottom line.
HongKong is part of China, and this is the line.

Hearthstone and NBA are both games. The game has rules, you have to obey.
Outside the game, players should also follow some rules, I mean, local laws.

For Americans: To support NBA is to support Morey is to support freedom of speech.
For Chinese:To support NBA is to support Morey is to support Hong Kong independence.
Well, Is independence in Hong Kong equal to freedom of expression?
Of course not.
But some people believe this.

It might very well be that Activision has rules which their customers has to follow, But it has only to do with money and nothing else!!

I'm not bashing China, But i certainly bash Activision for being absolute pathetic for the sake of money, Oh and don't worry!!, Activision is not the only American company that has thrown all ethics and morale away for the sake of extra income.

Actually i didn't think that Hong kong was that independent from the rest of the mainland, But am i wrong???

Even here in Denmark we received two Panda's for talking nice about China :D

Good for you Valerie!!! - I could not agree more.
Factory farming is the number one cause of greenhouse gases. - FACT
Raising animals for food contributes to global hunger, all the grains we give to the animals could be used to feed people.
Meat eating is the number one cause of cancer, high cholestrol and diabetes - it contains artery clogging facts, that increases your risk of stroke. - It also contributes to antibiotic resistance, due to the fact people who eat it are ingesting these antibiotics from the animals, not to mention the growth hormones and pesticides. - Another reason kids "develop" younger.
Factory farming is extremely cruel to animals, and the suffering is barbaric.
I gave it up years ago, and I am much better off for it - A relative of mine is a Cardiologist, and he told me he does not know one other cardiologist that eats red meat.

Your statement about red meat and cancer is so biased, That it's funny.

Should i say hello to modern day biased media that tells you the things you want to hear!!, We have an organisation that fights cancer but also way to often misleads people with wild exaggerations.

There have been studies that shows that red meat has a 5% chance of causing cancer in your rectum if it's processed the wrong way???, This is a wild claim cause nothing states what the wrong way is???.

There are also studies that shows you get cancer from just eating food and not exercising enough, And studies that shows that fruit grows your resistence, And funny enough studies that shows it dosn't (who would have thought that)

BTW : Stay away from all cities as it could esily cause cancer, Welcome and pick your own reality.

That's a very good question indeed, In my case Google is pretty determined that this site is not secure (red "NOT SECURE" text to the left of the ysense web url), But again it states this on many sites i visit (I'm a very shady person)

Namely the gaming industry has had a lot of problems lately with private information getting leaked, But what else can we do than trust the sites we visit (I'm always wearing my tin foil hat before turning on my pc).

Every xxx damn thing spies on you, These days.

I totally agree with Darkstar on this, Not a big surprise since we already debated this to death and back again.

It's sad to admit, But politicians are run by big corporations and not the people which is basically the whole idea with a healthy democracy.

Stopped caring for left and right politics many years ago, First i think i was a bit on the left side, Then i turned to the right side, And finally stopped caring.

Watching danish politics can best be compared to sticking your head up your ..., It the same smell. It's about who did what 4 years prior when they were in control while the accusers are pretty much saints themselves who suddenly seems like they got a case of amnesia.

You would probably learn more watching Tele-Tubbies.

Some sources say's she has Autism/Asperger syndrome, And if that's the case maybe the explanation is to be found in her mental condition.

But i'm afraid her parent's are using her as a tool to further their own agenda, On the other hand Autistic people tend to be a little more naive (Not stupid), So i wouldn't be surprised if she firmly belifs everything she's told by her parent's.

It would take a lot more than stop eating meat to lessen the climate changes in the future, But what i don't like is that shaming culture of holy people who are so much better than everyone else and the only thing they contribute to is strenghten the counter-culture i see everywhere on social media.

And in this debate about the climate, There is as everywhere a political agenda which effectively (Again) blocks for most of the constructive debate we have, And we are back where we started.

And if there is one person who can really get people all riled up, It's this young Teen from Sweden (Great Thunberg)

valerie wrote: Perhaps you're not understanding what is happening?

We only have so much land on this planet. Most of our land is under water.
In fact, over 70% of our land is water.

When we MASS produce animals so we can eat them, in reality we are starving people.

To MASS produce animals takes a LOT of land. I won't even talk about inhumane cruelty to animals.

The land is becoming smaller and smaller for Agriculture crops.

Yes large greedy companies want people to keep that 'animal' taste in their mouth. All they care
about is money. They have the 'now' mentality and do not care about the future of their own
children.

When animals roam free, they breed at a normal rate. They die as nature intended.

What's happening is the obesity rate continues to increase. Extinction of animals continue.
Climate change is more rapid (animals contribute to methane in the air). Many people
starve due to lack of agriculture crop lands.

People are in fact eating wayyyy too much meat. If meat eaters would cut their consumption
in half, the world would see an amazing difference in everything including their own health.
If people would stop eating meat totally, they would be healthier.

In biblical times, there was meat eaters. But you know what? They were not MASS produced.
Their food was not full of antibiotics. The animals were for the most part, treated humanely.
A HUGE difference from today.

Quite an interesting topic. Meat is not exactly unhealthy for you, But more of a waste product it takes longer for your body to get rid of.

Obesity is really a major problem worldwide and not least in the US, It always hits me how much bigger Americans are in general(Not that we don't have obese people ourselves) compared to when i'm cruising the streets in Denmark.

Fast food chains in the US are so cheap that even if you eat Breakfast, Lunch and supper at Mcdonalds, 1 single burger would be at about the same price over here as all 3 meals combined in the US.

I'm not trying to mock anyone, But the the US is always XXXXL (Everything needs to be 5x bigger).

Yes i do eat red meat; And about 90% of all food i consume is organic (Can be quite expensive at times).

A couple of times i tried the vegan route, But mostly it only last for 3-6 months before i end up destroying the planet again!! (Sorry).

I'm a horrible person that also enjoy a nice Steak tartare on bread with raw egg yolk and capers :D

Denmark would lose a lot of it's welfare if we couldn't export our meat, Pork meat is big big business here.

People need (at least) to think they're doing a difference when they vote!!!

Just stick your head in a hole and blame the other side (It's much easier).

Just finished watching a 90 minutes climate debate on Danish television, It was supposed to be informative, But ended up losing some of my brain-cells instead (Nothing new).
