Unfortunately for some building owners comes time where they must do repairs, it's not always by choice, some buildings get old and age and require important repairs, much like a house, though if they are replacing porcelain toilet bowls for 24k gold ones, nobody asked for that for sure, it won't make people's sh***ing experience more pleasant. But usually you hear about rents going up a few bucks maybe $50, maybe more, but $400, bloody hell - are you renting a mansion ? :D

In this country some people are unfortunately slaves to the government both provincial and federal, as here if you are one of the lucky ones to earn a decent salary, you will be "donating" 6 months of your hard earnings to the government so they can finance their lavish lifestyles and watch them burn your money.

It's completely insane, The building don't need renovation and the only purpose is to make more money.

Maybe you heard about venture capital firms like Blackstone?, It's not Blackstone but another firm called Heimstaden A/S.

They are only interested in making as much money as possible, Their slogan is something like: Buy, Renovate and sell.

I'm in a bit of a pickle as i simply cannot find any apartments in Copenhagen i can afford :( , So i guess it's goodbye Copenhagen.

Finding an apartment with a rent of just $1200 - $1500 is close to impossible unless you have the right connections, If i could afford $2000-$3000 it wouldn't be that big of a problem (It's insane).

Copenhagen, Big city , like Sydney or Melborne here , let see prices

Sydney , nothing under 600.00 per week , yes per week
Melbourne , nothing under 500 per week

Tasmania , garbage place at the end of the world , shithole , only500 000 people , nothing under 300.00 per week
Come to Australia , still few places free under the bridge

Still places under the bridge???, Don't you have to sign up for that?

When i'm talking about rents in Copenhagen ranging from $1200-1500, We are talking about small apartments no bigger tha 50 squaremetres. If you want 80-120 squaremetres we are talking everything from $2500-4000 a month.

If there wer'e just alternatives, But No!! Cpenhagen is filled up and everything new being build are luxorious apartments which a normal wage can't afford.

You can sign up for apartments through common apartment organisations with somehow decent rents, Only problem is that so many signed up that it will take close to 20 years before anything is available (40 years are not uncommon either). And then they recently added a new rule in which you need to be working at least 36 hours a week to be signed up on the internal waiting list???, Yes that's right "INTERNAL", If you don't qualify for these terms you will be placed on the"EXTERNAL" waiting list which means that even if you wait 40 years another can sign up tomorrow and overtake you on the list, They call it "FLEXIBLE" criteries (Flexible my a..)

I actually don't have anything against people who work hard and makes a lot of money, But what i don't like is when politicians are adding certain rules that divides people and effectively prevents them the same basic rights, But of course politicians would never agree that that's is exactly why these rules are being made.

Sorry, I'm very frustrated at the moment.

Guilotine is only salvation , mega rich and mega poor only in few years time , they will use us as fertilizer ,

they will use us as fertilizer.

At least we're not completely useless

Yep, Politicians in Denmark also decide their own wages and for some reason it only seems to go up!!.

Politicians which are not re-elected can look forward to 18 months of full wage, And if you decide to run for an election and fail to get elected you can seek funds over the next 4 years for your next campaign ranging from $350.000 to $600.000.

There are no shortage on privileges here.

Especially the big cities are more and more like closed communities for the well established, We still don't have gated communities in Copenhagen but they're coming soon.

My apartment building is undergoing a renovation no one asked for in 3 months time, And just like magic our rents will rise $400

The money and political power is concentrated in the capitol/Bigger cities and looks more and more like the rich man's club, The rest of us can move out in the countryside with our social benefits or pension (Jobs???  ).

Maybe if we are real lucky we can be slaves for rich businessmen/women, Maybe we should reinstate slavery.

I enjoy reading your answers Darkstar!! (even if they're a bit long) :D

Young people today may know to better to navigate the net than adults, But many are not aware of the consequence it can have if you are not careful. Many youngsters just take the net for granted and use it carelessly for social and private interactions, But the Internet is not private or should we say not private to a certain extent.

Young people are thank's to the internet connected on a much more global plan than any past generation could have ever imagined, The internet is also a provider for all their needs when it comes to information/news, It's both good and bad Depending on what you read or learn about.

You can say what you want about facebook but it can easily become an unhealthy addiction much like smartphones which are literally designed to be addictive!!!, Facebook is also a major issue when it comes to depression among young people.

My whole point with this was more with this election coming up and many are sadly misinformed, Some are even posting fake news with Danish politicians saying things they have never ever said (It's outright lying). An example : A Female politician has said that Danish schools are now implementing Saudi Arabian as a native language (there are many more like this).

Ahhh the internet, A love/Hate relationship.

I also think that people are starting to realize how much data about themselves they're selling.

I don't blame the youth not knowing what's up and down in the online world, Parliament election in Denmark tomorrow and fake news are on a wildfire already . Some of our politicians even decided to promote themselves on adult related streaming sites.

No bank details you just provide your credit card and the $1 phone will be shipped to your door, as claimed by the site.
I can't believe people fall for this scam, this scam is run in many countries including Canada, US and elsewhere too I have seen several versions of this scam in different languages.

I can see a lot of those bogus scams in offer walls !

There's a lot of them to be sure, Most of what i have seen it's almost always some kind of expensive subscription you're also signing up for (Do anyone even get a phone?), It's also a very old scam.

But there is justice at times, You are probably familiar with the scam called the Canadian method or the Danish/Swedish/Brittish/German or whatever method depending on your country, It was pretty hefty advertised a lot of places on the net. Here in Denmark we found out who promoted/advertised the scam, Normally i hate the trend "Public shaming" but boy was it fun to watch the s... storm against him.

He had to close his Facebook/twitter and reddit profile and move to France to get a little peace, Some even found out where he lived ;) (sadly no jail-time).

It's too easy getting away with cheating on the net.

Thank's for a good advice

Actually i'm wondering why this issue is not taken more seriously in our country, But probably not too cause too much panic among the citizens.

Ahhh it's so ironic, All the talk about how many immigrants we will allow into our country, I hope other countries will be more tolerant when it's our turn.

"MEAT", Juicy tasty meat.

Climate protesters will ban meat entirely, In Denmark you're a crook if you eat meat (You bastard).

In 40 years from now i will think of a tasty delicious steak (with bearnaise sauce) while chewing Dandelions and eating protein-rich insects.

I am too busy collecting bitcoin and take online surveys

We all miss you - So how is the Ramen business, did you buy company stocks yet ? Ramen is much more precious that BTC or any other illicit activity supported industry. The Bitcoin is backed up with nothing, zilch, nada, the only thing keeping it afloat (meaning that it is not worth $0) are ponzi schemes and fraud schemes as the #1 currency for illicit casinos, HYIP and ponzi schemes is bitcoin. I'm pretty sure it's used in underground darkweb activities too

Oh yeah!!, You can bet it's used in darkweb activities, It's practically the only currency accepted(My own experience from casual surfing on the deepweb) :D

Shame on you Darkstar!!, Can't you see he's trying to pump up the value.
