Death Valley hits 53C - world's highest temp of 2021

A weather station at Furnace Creek in California's Death Valley just hit 53ºC, setting a new mark for our planet's highest temperature so far this year.

Well, at least they live up to their name  That's global warming for you, and it's FUNNY when people say things like "Oh it's only 1-2 degrees difference" LOL - big joke. That's a LOT, maybe little by numbers, but A LOT in terms of property - if our world is getting hotter by even a fraction degree each year, that's really bad - pretty soon we'll need to be living underground to survive or in self cooled hazmat suits :D

Quote:
Here in Tasmania we are frozen , what kind of justice is this ????? Why USA can have it and Tasmania can not ?
That is shiti justice , will sue USA and will demand they send 25C to Tasmania

Current temp in Tasmania, 50F - not exactly "FROZEN", but to people who are used to hot weather, indeed that is cold. For Canadians that would be hot, especially considering that we have winters where it can get as cold as -40F (yes Fahrenheit).

Next time you complain about frozen, come spend a winter in some of the coldest Canadian provinces you'll see what's Frozen - then you will go back to Tasmania, and that 10F will feel like summer :D

Where can i sign up?, 91.4 Fahrenheit here in Denmark.

I'm sweaty, My shirt is sweaty, And most important of all, My balls are also very sweaty.

Situation is sooo bad that i had to quit drinking beer and replace it with water.

Dallas was a pretty big hit in Denmark, Or maybe it was because we only had like 3 channels, So not much to chose from

I very vaguely remember watching it with my parents, Something with a lot of rich a....... backstabbing each other like there was no tomorrow.

I can remember that JR was a nice fellow and Joan Collins was a real b...., Then he had 2 sons (i think) 1 good and 1 bad who always tried to rob him for money.

Am i correct  , I can't have been more than 5-6 years old at that time.

Yes, you made that public but please be careful because if the rest of the shrewdness (ape group) take the vaccine you will be expelled from the group and driven deep into the forest where you will spend the rest of your days in loneliness.
You will be making your evening nest for yourself only and no one to tuck you in with fresh leaves and share bananas with.

It is not much about vaccine but about hospitals here , no cases in Tasmania and at same time hospitals are empty , it is like lottery if you get sick you not sure they will take you ,,,, ambulance . ha ha , wait 7-8 hours and hope they will come

Australia is all about possible cases of COVID , one case only and they lock whole State , you can read daily about that
This is sick country ,

I do not have private medical insurance and my chance to be taken to hospital is very low
Remember ...Australia is only country in the world in lockdown since COVID started and PM say chance is to reopen Australia in 2024.... my opinion is NEVER ,,, we will stay in jail Forever

Yes I agree that the Covid19 situation in Australia is handled in a strange way. The only thing what is for sure in Australia that they will follow the US and UK in whatever war they entangle themselves in. Better to take the vaccination to at least build up (some) immunity against this plague instead of becoming infected and having to wait for an ambulance what never shows up.

Maybe they can make you a vaccine with banana flavor

I agree that Covid-19 barely exists in Australia and that hey are way way over-reacting, A bit the same here in Denmark except from around 1000 daily infections , 2 people are dying a week and people on ventilators is around 20.

Young people here are starting to seek others infected on purpose to gain access to bars and pubs again because the vaccinations has been delayed yet again.

Some countries should calm down and stop comparing themselves with worst case scenarios from other countries.

Anyhow, well I guess she a good journalist then, she knows how to get to the bottom of things (literally  ) Maybe she is onto something (did it again :P) maybe this can define a new era of journalism - I guess some countries' culture are highly sexualised and quite open about the topic, even at the dinner table ! It's not uncommon in Europe, people openly talk about sex, though normally you would expect ethics in the workplace, I mean this includes journalism. Sex is something that 2 consenting adults (or more depending on people) enjoy in PRIVACY, otherwise it's not intimacy, it's porn

Was this a publicity stunt, maybe, or perhaps that journalist just found herself a new f**k buddy :P

I think you pretty much nailed it ;) ,

I respect if people wants to keep it private, But isn't it odd that we can discuss wars, Killings, Terror, But not sex??

Why not be open about it??, If parents knew what their little dearies are gobbling up on the net.

When i finally decide to make a topic, There has to be some meat on it ;)

wow and I thought I was the one with the puns here :D  Yeah good point, but sex topics in some parts of the world are more "taboo", more "cringe", it's not something parents like to see their kids exposed to, YET parents are clueless and little do they know how naughty their kids are verbally, and they know more than they let out. It's quite disgusting how the young generation acts nowadays, if you have ever taken public transit here in North America, you will hear kids at a very young age cussing, talking loud and saying obscene stuff, publicly, as if they are in their living room and that includes adult conversations and very explicit sex talk - it's enough that kids are exposed to pedophiles and predators online, that's a huge epidemic and I don't know how many parents are truly concerned about that, but anyhow, as far as sex talk amongst adults I guess not everybody likes to be open about it, some people make it a conversation, how many guys they banged, or from guys who brag how many - well you get the picture :D It seems to be an olympic competition now - sex is something private, intimate (unless you are a porn star, then it's all about money and cleaning the pipes) and even in non porn for some people it can be just lust, a source of pleasure, and often there is a stereotype that people who talk about that openly are "easy", "hoes", "sluts", - keeping that in mind kids listen to the radio and watch TV, they are enough exposed to sex as it is, too much, might not be a good idea to expose them to a shag session on a radio broadcast - Maybe in Europe things are different, i heard that people are open about it, kids and their parents openly discuss that, and in France, well the topic is as popular as wine and baguette

As far as the radio, I bet you its rating went through the roof - but i'm wondering if this is not just some staged publicity stunt - I mean seriously, it's like a radio talk show about sex, where the sex therapist is screwing her technician live on air - I'm pretty sure Dr. Ruth would give her seal of approval

It's also why i think it's important if parents (At least a little) can be open about sex and teach their kids that what they see on the net (Talking about sex) has nothing to do with real life, And yes!! the net has quite an impact on how the young generation behave.

Another thing is how people converse with each other online, You simply can't exchange face to face conversation with online conversation and think you get the same result and social satisfaction. I have nothing against social communities and online chat/forums or whatever, Yes!! but this is an alternative to being social, Not a substitute.

As a political tv-host quotes "The more you disagree with your opponent, The nicer you have to talk to them"

Publicity stunt???, Yeah why not. But i really don't think they've gained that much from it, Even if there has been a lot of approval, There has also been a lot of backlash (Even our sexualization has limits  ).

The US is the biggest (By far) contributor to porn on the net, And at the same time also incredibly frightened by it. But it is of course BIG BUSINESS!!! over there.

I rarely watch B/W movies, But i can recommend "Billy Liar", Actually a decent flick.

Weird to see how weak and fragile women are portraited in old movies, And they are of course always rescued by strong Cigaret-smoking men.

I can also reccommend "Pieces" from 1982, Not exactly a love story and it is kinfd of a different genre :D

Danish journalist has sex during interview for segment on swingers club.

One radio reporter went all the way to get a scoop on a swingers club near Copenhagen when she had sex with a man she was interviewing.

Louise Fischer, 26, can be heard moaning during the on-the-record intercourse, part of a two-minute segment that aired on Radio 4 in Denmark.

“I don’t have a boyfriend, that definitely made it a lot easier,” Fischer told the German publication Bild.

“My mother just thinks it’s funny and laughs, my father thought it was really cool.”

The X-rated segment focused on the reopening of a swingers club named Swingland in Ishoj after the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions — and Fischer discussed the reactions to her unorthodox interview style, Most of them were very positive, they thought it was brave and cool, Others think that I’ve crossed a line in journalism.

A Thursday tweet from Radio 4 linked the segment.

“Warning: It got hot and wet for both our reporter and the guests,” the tweet stated.

At one point during the segment, full of sounds of bodies slapping, the journalist asks the man she is having sex with if he can tell her what he’s seeing and he responds a “delicious woman,” the English-language Copenhagen Post reported.

It hadn’t been the plan ahead of the report to participate in the club, reports said.

Tina Kragelund, Radio 4’s head of news, Told that the station approved of the move, I just think it’s cool when the reporters try to make the stories in a different way,” she said.

What are your opinions on this??, Well!! Looking forward to see this kind of journalism in the evening news on tv

I'm not quite sure, But i think it was BBC who made a fake news report on what could possibly happen if tensions between the EU allied forces and Russia led to war. Can't remeber what it was called, But it ended with a nuclear attack on brittish soil.

Good scary entertainment.

And if it does happen and the world gets obliterated, Well then it's maybe time for god to try something new.

Yes!! false prophets Val, How many wars and how many people have been killed for believing in God the wrong way??. Take a look around and tell me that all religions are living in peaceful co-existence with each other, If that wer'e the case i couldn't care less if people wer'e one or the other.

I am very well aware that the majority of religious people have no influence on what their religion are being used as an excuse for committing terrible crimes against innocent people, But as long as that is the case i rather choose to believe in persons themselves (Not what they are supposed to believe in).

But discussing this subject with others across different cultures is often difficult as we have different backgrounds and often also with a different upbringing.

Maybe it requires to be born and raised in a country like mine before you can really see the difference, Do we have very religious people?? Oh yes of course we have, Small secluded communities where everyone else is excluded unless they share the exact same belief as themselves.

Still i think you are a very decent persons Val, A bit strict (but so is my aunt)

My post above this one of yours, is an example. It is not exactly what I believe.
I am simply pointing out that people are becoming more aware of how the possibility of God exists.
Whereas in years past, being atheist was cut and dry.

Here again, I will point out, there is a strong difference between God and religion.

I know Denmark is a cool place. One of the first people I met online is from Denmark. I have
not heard from him in a long time. He was just a kid and the last time I heard from him, he
is married with kids. Went by the online name 'megamol'. It is said Denmark people are the
happiest people on the globe. Even tho your government keeps half your money. The benefits
seem amazing and worth it.

I've probably watched it. Seems like I have watched everything. Is it a new documentary or
no?

I'm not really strict. I am very easy going. See how nice I am====> :)

I know my faults. I come off as a know it all. I am stubborn. I can be a total ass.
I am not all bad.

Speaking of faults and nice. Those have nothing to do with getting into heaven. You can be
the nicest person on the planet but if you don't believe in God, you won't get in.

I just hope that one or more of my words may stick in someone's head and it might save
their soul. Not that I go around preaching because I don't but I do give my take on it. One
day something might come up, and you or someone reading what I have typed, may think
back and see some relevance in it.

Be careful not to praise Denmark too much, Unlike "some" North-Americans we find it very challenging and uncomfortable when someone praises our country (we mostly laugh at ourselves). Most tourists takes a picture of Nyhavn in inner Copenhagen (It's where all the rich people live) and thinks we are living in utter luxury, Not that there is much else to see   .

It's okay to praise us if we are victorious in sport events, Or if we beat Sweden in ice-hockey (As we did recently).

Our belief in god consists of visiting the church at funerals/weddings/confirmations (it's baptizing young people in the Christian belief, Only reason they are showing up is the presents they are receiving afterwards (Mostly expensive presents), And then maybe on Christmas eve, Other than that the churches are pretty damn empty most of the year.

Oh!! almost forgot, We also have LEGO

My whole point with the documentary was just to prove how easily it is to pit religions against each other(Even though the Satanic cult has close to nothing to do with religion), And the religious fanatics who wants to burn and execute every one of their members are no better than any of the cult members.

Actually i find the satanic church and it's members to be kind of pitiful in their own way.

Sorry for speaking my mind, But NO!! i Don't think Satan exists either.
