No pop-ups could be a setting in your browser like Firefox ?

i had used those 2 at different times but caught a virus that slipped through. I went to IObit and never had a problem with viruses. I really liked the program but it sometimes took a good driver/part of a program as a virus and obliterated it; then I'd have to do some work to fix it. :)

As for computers like Valerie suggested, I've been watching the paper. Since I can't drive anymore, I can't go to yard sales anymore. :( I used to go every weekend. I don't like the newer operating systems either. I'm stuck in the "dark ages." :) XP is my go-to. Some of my programs are paid digital downloads, too, and I wouldn't be able to transfer them to a newer computer. I would love to take my 'puter to a "mr. fix-it" but they'd probably charge an arm and a leg because I know there are things wrong from the beginning of 2003 when I bought this one. Let's face .....it. I'm hopeless.

Mischad, You really shouldn't use Windows XP as your operating system if you want to avoid viruse's in the future.

Microsoft stopped udating it in 2014 and it's not considered safe anymore, Consider to use at least win 7 until 2020, It's important to scan your system with antivirus software (Iobit is fine for that job), But updating your operating system with microsoft's Updates/patches is even more important (Windows update).

I think your virus problems may be related to your XP being unsupported, Anti virus programs are supposed to be an extra safety feature if something slips throgh your firewall, They are not supposed to safeguard your entire system (Especially not for several years).

I'm not to fond of the operating system's either, But if you want to stay safe it's either them or to install Linux (It looks even older than XP :D ).

Hope you can find yourself a cheap laptop with Window's 7 or 10.

Zlatan Ibrahimović was born in Sweden to a Muslim Bosniak father, Šefik Ibrahimović,[17] who emigrated to Sweden in 1977, and a Croatian Catholic mother, Jurka Gravić, who had also emigrated to Sweden, where the couple first met. His father was born in Bijeljina, Bosnia, and his mother was born in the village of Prkos near Škabrnja in Croatia's Zadar

Zlatan Ibrahimović born 3 October 1981 is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Manchester United. He was also a member of the Sweden national team from 2001 to 2016, serving as captain from 2010 until his retirement. Primarily a striker, he is a prolific goalscorer, who is best known for his technique, creativity, strength, ability in the air, and his powerful and accurate striking ability. As of August 2017, he is the most decorated active footballer in the world, having won 33 trophies in his career

I think he's being very sarcastic here.

You can't be a swede and not know who Zlatan Ibrahimovic is, He's more famous than Köttbullar (Swedish meatballs)

Yes Lightning speed dial is a very annoying browser hijacker.

Instead of using window's uninstall feature you could try using Revo uninstaller, It's the same thing as windows uninstall, But does a more advanced search to remove all unwanted files.

Also remember to reset your browser to default settings.

This guide is pretty helpful if you're still having problems. Remove "Lightning SpeedDial" from IE, Firefox and Chrome

Thanks so much for that info. I only went into Chrome and under the extensions, I "trashed" LSD. The computer is running a little better. I can at least open a couple sites without having to reboot now, but there is probably some residual LSD functions left since I still have to reboot after opening some sites.

I will have to wait until later to check out that removal information. I need to make a few cents before What's so heartbreaking is that LSD was so great. I loved it. All my favorite links were right there with one click.

You can also make your bookmarks the manual way (It's pretty easy), Load the page you wish to have quick access to and click on the star icon (Its right beside the clixsense addon) Just click on edit to add the bookmark.

You can also change the name of your bookmarks by right clicking on them and chose edit, I'm also pretty sure that Malwarebytes will get rid of LSD for good, Do a full scan just in case and it should it be gone.

I'm ready to do that! I run my anti-virus malware every day. All of a sudden, I needed to restart my computer if I wanted to go from one site to another. For example, use Clixsense and done, want to go to one of my other sites, I would have to reboot/restart. Yesterday, couldn't do anything at all. Still don't know if I can get my email. That was blocked as well.

I couldn't even get here yesterday at all! I tried on my laptop but I couldn't remember my password so I was screwed.

Hopefully, I found the culprit (my Lightning Speed Dial which I have now deleted) since I'm here today but only time will tell later. Can't make $$ this way. I hate new technology anymore. Can't keep up.

Did you even see the commercial?, It certainly dosn't look like it's for elderly and sick.

This looks more like a commercial for the busy one (Or those who think they're to busy), If you are old or sick you should either be in a elder home or have someone coming from the community to help you out.

There is nothing in this video that hints its for old and sick people.

I have 5 supermarkets within a 5 minute walking distance so it's probably not for me.

And these ideas are typically launched in the biggest cities where there's absolutely no need for them.

This is for the superlazy well off big city citizen with nice shiny homes (Why not hire a housekeeper instead or a nanny?), You can make money on many stupid things as long as there is plenty of people, my little brother makes money by washing peoples bikes (it takes skill), Cause you wouldn't want those poor people washing it themselves
