Welcome back Dutch ;)

Microsoft themselves will never call you if your pc gets hacked or if it get's infected with a virus.

Windows defender have actually become a pretty decent malware protector with windows 10 (almost too aggressive from what i prefer). Alternative (If you can afford it) is too buy a subscription for a malware protection program like Malwarebytes, Kaspersky etc., The difference here is that they provide you real-time protection if you pay for a subscription, other than that the free and paid versions are basically the same.

Make sure to scan your pc once in a while, And never!! click any links in your emails and add any form of private information including details of your credit card.

Stay safe ;)

No idea but here if you do not have private insurance you can not go to hospital , only if you are dying
As my GP TOLD ME .... YOU WILL NOT see specialist doctor ever again here , you do not have private insurance , all you can have is GP to give you prescription ..... in short I did stop going to see a doctor , and it is not just me here

Time for revolution , this is not a world we like
BTW... NO CORONA cases here ... hmmm and no hospital for poor

Of course the situation is not the same everywhere (Nothing is ever 100%).

But there are quite a lot of countries that are struggling with too high numbers of infections at the moment, These countries will be even worse off in your so called free-world.

And of course it's also a question of perception of what is acceptable or not during a pandemic, Still!! 200 million as you describe is not exactly a low number.

BTW : THERE ARE NO FREE WORLDS ANYWAY.

Ok!! but what about all of those with health conditions and elderly people who are fragile and can succumb to it.

If we just let the virus go rampant and let it do as it please, I can promise you that we will start seeing totally different numbers and way more deaths!!.

The first thing that will happen is that hospitals will not be able to cope with the number of patients needing treatment (look what happened in Italy at the start of the pandemic), This is what governments around the world is trying to prevent.

This is what it's all about TAS!!, Even Sweden have changed their approach to the pandemic with restrictions of people gathering to be only 8 (it's still 10 in Denmark).

Still we should be glad that the virus is not worse than it is, I'm sure you can find some youtube channel that will tell you otherwise.

Tired of corona!!, All restaurants, Bars, Fitness centers, Theaters are closed down again!! because we have 2000 cases of infections daily at the moment (goes for Copenhagen and 38 other municipalities).

If this continues with 3000 or even 4000 infections before Christmas i guarantee we will be on total lockdown with no chance of travelling outside our own city border.

Christmas is cancelled

2000 in total, Not in each city (That would be insane) :D

Placed my vote(3 months) the wrong place  (It's getting late).

I will probably wait at least 12 months and see if everyone drops like flies.

2 years should be sufficient, But if it works as it should the pandemic would be over anyway.

Just here in little Denmark there have been demonstrations by people who wants all restrictions lifted and their freedom given back to them and most IMPOTANTLY!!! More spectators allowed on stadiums.

And yes!!! we also have those politicians who thinks that we can negotiate with a virus.

Only problem is : It's a virus.

valerie wrote: Nikorj the main point is for people to take responsibility for themselves and respect the

The virus won't go away.

The point of masks and social distancing is to save people from infection, prevent deaths,
and to reduce the impact on hospitals and health care providers.

Have you ever watched war movies? The war movies in which there is hospitals but no
beds. There is people that are not even doctors sawing off legs in the field. The war
movies where there is no pain medicine for injured soldiers in the field?

We can't shut down the country and we really don't need to if people would follow a simple
plan as to stay home mostly, don't congregate in bars, parties, churches, etc, wear a mask
when out and keep your distance from others. This is what we need to do until we do have
a vaccination. Businesses need to limit the number of people in their place and make sure
they have safety guidelines that people adhere to.

The point I was making about the bus was in reply to your post. Just because people die
does not mean they don't need to take precautions against it. It does not matter if it is
the flu or any disease or non disease. Just because people die from the flu does not mean
they should walk out in front of a bus. The people that do die from the common flu are
usually people that did not take the flu vaccine and/or are elderly with many medical issues.

That's exactly what i wrote, WE CAN'T SHUT DOWN THE SOCIETY (What was it that you didn't understand????).

Until now wearing masks and practicing social distancing has not helped in containing the spread of the virus, You can ask people a lot!! But there will always be those who don't care about the guidelines anyway.

My main point was that the governments and media should reflect the real picture of what an pandemic is, Thinking you can keep everything open while keeping it under control is like throwing coins in a wishing pond (You will not get your wish fulfilled).

It did not work during the 1st wave, And!! Take a look at the statistics. Best thing we can do at the moment is trying to halt the spread until there is a vaccine ready.

No not willingly!!!

As it's not your fault if you get influenza and die from it, neither is it your fault if you get an infection after a successful operation and suffer from it.

It's dangerous to be alive!!, Most die from it.

Valerie!, You can get side effects or die from a lot of things (including influenza as well).

You can always point out the minority of cases and use them as scare tactics (there are always exceptions), people die from 1000s of things with or without corona anyway.

And NO!!, Of course we should not downplay this virus , They already did that in Sweden, And that didn't go down that well.

Just take a look on how the corona is once again flourishing in Europe, Countries like Italy and Spain are basically back to square one again.

Now we just have to wait for the vaccine (But how many are willing to take it??)

As Darkstar said, It's a virus that spreads, And there is really no surprise there!!.

I know many governments had hoped they could contain the spread of the virus by telling people to be anti-social, Actually im surprised that health and virus experts couldn't predict this scenario, The only way to lower the spread and infections is by locking down completely, Strict measures won't work in this situation.

LOL!!, In Denmark they are terrified that infections per day now has an average of 1000 +/-, But what in the holy crap did they expect???, Something with 20 infections per day while keeping the society almost completely open until 22 pm???.

Ah the fear-mongers are really drumming loud while they tell horrible tales off people with terrible symptoms caused by having the virus and the terrible cluster 5 mutation that is sure to create an zombie-apocalypse sooner or later (It turned out that the cluster 5 was not that dangerous anyway), But that didn't stop the Danish government (we are now communists) in killing 17 million mink and shut down the northern part of Jutland.

We can't close our societies because they are dependent on the economy, If this had been an zombie-apocalypse most hings would probably still be open (As long as it lasted).

Yeah because we a live in a world where most people are evil - but there are very few people you get attached to, that make a positive impact on the world and you, some people you grew up watching on TV for decades, centuries, etc, some legends that kept you company, made you laugh, entertained you, etc, it's normal to miss them and feel sad when they die - Unlike the millions of others who die in the world, they are regular people who are NOT public figures, so you don't know them and have not built a virtual bond with.

I'm not buying the one that people are inherently evil.

Nah!! normally i don't feel sad when known people pass away, Of course i can imagine that their close ones do.

For me there's a big difference in feeling sad or just feeling sorry, I feel sorry when good artists that manages to entertain you and make a good product pass away (This just made me sad).

The singer deserved better than this Even our queen would not have that impact on me!! (I would just feel sorry).

People die every day, And most of the time we don't bother if we are not related in any way to them (it's the way it is).

Of course we react to it if it's someone close to us, But there is also those that manages to have an impact on a whole nation in a positive way that makes us sad (not exactly grief, Just a little bit of sad and that empty feeling).

A couple of days ago a lead singer in a Danish band died of cancer, Normally it's not something that makes me sad, But this said person was someone i grew up listening to (along with almost the entire population of Denmark).

For nearly 45 years they made around 35 records spanning all the way back from the end of the 70's and all the way to the present day, Everyone knew them and could sing along on at least a handful of their songs (not just old folks, Even the youngsters knew their songs).

If you manage to stay relevant for so long for an entire country you'll end up being an integrated part of it, It's rare that someone becomes a kind of a national treasure just by making music.

But it was not the cancer that put an end to it in the first place, He got a blood clot which he fought against and nearly recovered except from being tied to a wheel chair. One of his biggest wishes was to hold one last concert (He recovered his singing voice after years of hard training), But that was not to be (apparently).

Very nice bloke and very charismatic in a teddy bear way!!, Their songs was only in Danish (and intentional in bad English), Their songs/text can best be described as satire/comedy with some twisted/insane lyrics.

Sometimes life just isn't fair.

Holly man in Iran or sick person in USA ?................holly man in Iran , long live Iran
Black living in USA or as white in China ?...............white in China, long live China
Rich and 95 years old or 18 years old in India ?..........18 year old in India... long live India

But there is 1 thing that is not accounted for, Being a politician in China is only better if you're completely brainwashed and walk in a very straight line, Otherwise your life can quickly be in danger.

Living under a bridge in Denmark does at least not get you murdered if you shout as loud as you can, Not a fun life by all means, But we have very soft bridges in Denmark

Wow, It's Nice too see the Ysense forum come alive with a fresh little political debate.

I myself am a little embarrassed about the political view on the election here in Europe as many European politicians embrace Joe Biden and call it a victory for democracy, I can only say that "JOE BIDEN IS NOT THE ANTIDOTE TO DONALD TRUMP (try digging a little, And you'll see why).

Trump on the other hand needs to stop neglecting the virus and wake up And maybe downsizing his "FAKE" rhetorics a bit, Not all is fake if it don't fit inside your head, And being a president also requires to be somewhat level-headed.

Let's have a sober debate (which for some strange reason ysense manages way better than most other forums) ;)
