Skrill hacked » Post #5

If the site was truly haked it would be all over the news.

I run antivirus daily (it's there in the background anyway), sent husband to prison when I got bored of him, don't click email links and use different passwords for important stuff lol.

monica-meleski wrote: Same thing happened to me also last month. They wound up cashing out my neobox and then they stole the funds that was sent to Skrill. They tried with Clixsense also but thank goodness Jim doesn't do an automatic payment or else I would have been really screwed. Skrill won't give you back the money either. :( I would add to also change your email if you can also.

I think I'll transfer both accounts to Payza, though the fees are horrible. A couple of years ago, someone tried to hack my Paypal. I didn't know until Neobux contacted me and said there was unusual activity with my cash-out procedure. I spoke to Paypal and all my bank accounts, cards etc had been changed. Paypal froze the account and sorted it in under 24 hours, my bank isn't that good!

Sometimes, I wish we could go back to the days of money in a jar or under the mattress!

Be aware, anyone who uses Skrill, I've just been hacked and the funds in the account taken.
I only use Skrill for Clixsense and Neobux.
Change your passwords etc if you have an account.

I miss AOL, the excitement of listening to all those electronic gurgling noises, while watching the little yellow man march on your screen :).
Of course you couldn't use your phone line at the same time, so had the extra excitement of people calling you on your brand new mobile phone. That had one of two outcomes. If they got through, they'd yell because of the cost of the call. If they couldn't get through (more likely) it was because a, you had no signal, b, they had barred calls to mobiles or c, your battery was dead because you hadn't charged the phone continuously for 48 hours. So, they'd just yell at you the next day.
Good times.

Well done. Weekends on Clixsense can be frustrating so that's nice to see.

I do about 10 hours a week in a community shop at the end of my road. We raise money for local charities and schools. Unlike big charities no-one, not even the manager or our accountant is paid.
Someone mentioned allotments. I'm trying to set up s seed exchange scheme and have a goal where we can sell excess veg cheaply to local people. However, allotment holders have to be careful about what they sell due to the law.

There has to be something in the T&C that Paypal don't like. Other sites, Neobux is an obvious one, still use Paypal.
I've noticed, while setting up my own site, that Paypal are more flexible to UK than US when it comes to PTC.

I'm thinking, on my own site, to make Paypal UK and US only. Then Bitcoin for other countries.

I'm canceling my Skrill payout and requesting Payoneer.
Then I'm taking my money and leaving despite the fact that I upgraded again in Jan.
I trust Jim but Marcel locked my new topic regarding Skrill saying there are threads open. Well no, because he locks them!
Jim and Valerie need to step in and keep this a viable site. Marcel needs to be put on a leash because he's non-productive.
I'm guessing this thread will be locked too due to my above comments.

I used Payza a couple of weeks ago. Clisense paid $30.02. Payza paid £20.26.

I'm wondering whether to cancel my Skrill request and cashout on Payza. Okay, I lose nearly a third but, at least, I get it.
Jim needs to tell us if Skrill are delaying funding to his account because of verification. We have to remember that large amounts of money are being moved and I'm okay with that. But, we need to be told what's going on.
Do I wait for Skrill and pay 10 Euros for a card or use another processor and lose up to 1/3 of my earnings here?

I trust Clixsense, so a bit frustrated but not worried that we haven't be paid via Skrill yet.
Jim has had to jump through hoops to find alternatives to Paypal. That means sending funds to all of them to cover payments. It's a huge task and Skrill, being the most recent, is the bottom of the list.
He has my respect for the way he has handled things.
I was going to launch my own site last week and am holding back, just to see which processor is best.

I cashed out just over $30 to Payza 2 weeks ago. I got £20.26 in my bank account. Awful.

Last week, I requested payment to Skrill. I'm working on the theory that I get their mastercard for 10 euros a year and use it as a debit card in shops. However, no cash-out from Clixsense - the longest I've ever waited. I'm guess Clixsense are having problems funding Skrill but I wish they would say so.
As it stands, I'm going to sit on non-requested earnings, wait for payment, get the Skrill card, test it out then go from there.

Adding to the "pending" won't affect your position in the queue.

I'm still waiting too.
