The age of loneliness is killing us » Post #32

Mon Dec 26, 2016 15:16 in General Talk

yep Val you are right, you either deal with it positively to eliminate it or to make it less stressful or treat it negatively and stress yourself more as a result...

what makes you happy,do it,want to get involved with others do it, we have a choice and no one will make that choice for us nor is it fair to blame anyone nor anything for the state we are in.

i understand tasman's point of view and know where he is coming from but like i said each to his own and how they perceive things in their own way.

at the end of the day there are natural actions which all humans need to do in order to survive, breath, eat, sleep poo and let off wind :D

then there are those things which we can choose to do to either enrich our lives or become saddos

but tasman dear technology has made our lives so much easier, for starters if it wasn't for the computer no one would be giving their views in this forum, never mind clicking ads!
if it wasnt for planes i wouldn't have been born in the UK nor would you have got to Australia

we have to thanks techno for alot of things yes i do agree people do spend alot of time on their gadgets but then that can be an impulsive behaviour/disorder, call it what you will, not everyone is like this.
Alot of poor people have got nothing ,not even a phone, people in so many countries still lead a traditional life they were living hundreds of years ago................
the west has progressed into a new era and we have to keep up with it ,
people do take the piss but each to their own i say...

in your other posts you mentioned your car broke down, that's an invention, you caught a bus home, that is also, everything nowadays is connected and part of our lives whether we like it or not but we can choose to omit these things from our lives if we want and lead a very difficult life which would be unthinkable for the majority.

man strives to perfect ,,,please and enjoy,no one wants a hard life.

i have got neighbours either side, both are all students as Oxford is mainly a centre for studies........

but when i do see someone popping out or going in and i happen to be there,i do say a hello..thats as far as it goes

if i bump into someone whilst shopping ,will be a good natter for sometime then you just need to get out :D
enuf is enuf

sometimes i guess you need to be alone,,it isnt a bad thing, means you can think things over,do your stuff blah blah blah,
who wants people in their face 24/7

socializing is good once in a while,as long as those beers are chilling,,,you listening marcel?

apart from that as Val has said ,we come alone,go alone so nothing has changed ,,,everything remains behind.

love for me is being contented , happy etc etc
if you are talking about the other half then from experience i can say maybe it seems heaven on earth for a little while then you will tasting a bit of hell too....

it is beautiful while it lasts but tortures you once it ends, comes and goes as it pleases,no conditions attached.....
i say adopt a pet if you want someone to love and cherish.....
i live for the moment and for me love is momentarily,

memories are painful yes i know but what can you do,,,,just keep trying i guess and fill in the gaps where others have left off...

loneliness is a sad condition to be in,there are many out there, through no fault of their own are living a miserable life, rejected by family,no job, illness of some sort, mental disorder etc etc

the ideal environment for all people starts from their family, the family values, what it means to be united should continue throughout life,,when it is cut off then life changes for all.

its just like falling in love,so easy to do so yet so hard to keep and be bound to,its needs trust, understanding and a commitment which us humans struggle with,we are vulnerable bits of walking flesh.

i agree both with pizza and Val,,, some people are pushed away, some are forced to leave, others? well everyone has a story at the end of the day.
as far as society is concerned, if i can remember correctly one of the 3 famous philosophers,Aristotle,Socrates or could have been Plato believed that individuals are conditioned through society, circumstances, the norm of the time that develops their personal traits and as an individual, this i do agree to...............today's society is severely lacking in that connective tissue which long ago bound our forefathers :(

Do you believe in Santa Claus? » Post #28

Sun Dec 25, 2016 10:26 in General Talk

solid proof .............yes i believe

just faith.................then no i dont believe in myths or legends and reindeers that can fly

anything else other than an inkling,,you need to see a shrink............or a Specialist brain surgeon :D

just keepin up wid the xmas spirit,, hope you lot stuffed with your turkeys and brussel sprouts and pouring those drinks down your gullets

boxing day tomorro, who else has big after xmas sales in their countries?

i am having a late night might not get up 2moro

Wrong Worry » Post #5

Sun Dec 25, 2016 04:01 in General Talk

yes its horrifying to think that us humans are so vulnerable to everything out there... accidents ,attacks, illnesses, whatever the atrocity, it can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime and at any age.
we are all like buds on a plant, when the north wind blows ,who will blow away first,no one knows :(

i dont like thinking about things like these makes me more depressed, all i can say is just try to live your life as best and as healthily as you can with whatever means you have......

too many desires that cannot be fulfilled can make you depressed too and i heard depression can be a killer as well, leads to high blood pressure and strokes
