i think if you look after things well you can get extra wear out of them, mind you im never the one for patching and stitching things up,i do know some stingy tight folk who actually do that and they can easily afford a new replacement, but its greed,,,why buy when i can mend lol

yep i agree sweetpea....the labour force is manipulated around the world, get paid in peanuts and their efforts are sold for so much more,,,,so sad really..
some people have no choice but to accept minimum or low wage to make ends meet :(

i never buy expensive things,no need to,i wait for sales, look for alternatives,or sometimes do without,,more important than luxuries are food,a roof over your head and some decent clothes on your body.

is it hard to forgive and forget....? » Post #1

Tue May 09, 2017 08:23 in General Talk

want to ask you my clixsense buddies,,,,how hard is it for you to forgive?

ok forgetting is virtually in possible as it will always be in the back of your mind but have you tried to move on with that other person forward without holding any past grudges?

i do find it hard forgiving,,why?
ok let me put it this way.....when i like someone eg husbands family member,i will be very generous with them, very kind and treat em really nicely but one day something happens and they broke your trust....this really hurts me and i find it very hard to accept and forgive.

i think if i just keep forgiving people will tend to walk all over me,thinking of me as some soppy ,soft mush which i am not,yet they fail to realize their own doings.

in today's society where money talks, only 2 things bring people together, that are weddings and funerals, apart from that no one wants to know :(

i do feel so sorry for blind people and its such a tragedy that they haven't got their sight, but i believe when god takes one thing away he replaces it with some magical gift.

i have seen documentaries on ppl with no hands or arms or legs yet they produce beautiful artistic paintings with a paintbrush in their teeth!
some blind people have a beautiful gift for playing musical instruments and even singing!
people who are all intact sometimes take things for granted and yes your are right dutchy, sometimes it worth the experience of putting yourself into someone else's shoes for the day and see what they have to go through ,day in day out 24/7.

put it this way if i was to ever buy an expensive branded pair of shoes i would make sure they stay in the box, dust em occasionally for cobwebs :D and keep em for about 50 odd years, then take em to Sotherbys or Christies and have em' auctioned

lotoole you are right about walmart flipflops, back in the UK we call it Asda,i love their shoes, cheap, comfortable and long wearing too...i bought about 6 pairs with me when i came back, which cost i think no more than £35 pounds :D

hlrive wrote: as a kid we would play with a little girl in the woods. We even went in her house which was an old run down shack, we would have warm cookies and milk with her even wash our hands. A few years ago I was thinking back to it all and thinking about how strange it was that her mom was always gone when we would go there, then I realized the strangest part of it all. The old shack had an upstairs, it was a big place on the inside, yet from the outside it looked about the size of my garage. However being in the middle of the woods there was no electric, so how did we get cold milk out of the fridge? And why did they have all kinds of lights?

The other thing that was strange was way back when I was about 5 years old and my brother Peter was 14 we went to bed in our own beds, and woke about about 2 am in front of the fire station in Dover Foxcroft. However we were still in our PJ's and it was freezing cold, and snowing. The fire station was 2 miles from where we lived. There was no tracks in the snow, and luckily the local sheriff came by and saw us and he took us home. He had to wake our parents up. However my dad couldn't figure out how we got that far from home because there was no foot prints in the snow, and no car tracks either. Still to this day no one can figure out how we got out of the house and into town with no tracks.

I don't know how to explain what happened over the years in Maine but it was strange, very strange, and yeah loads more happened up there over the years.

wo thats really spooky, waking up somewhere else

that's the mystery of this paranormal thingy,,,,,there's no explanation yet so much bizarre stuff is happening beyond our understanding.

everything which is not part of our normal life can be deemed out of the extraordinary coz there is no logical explanation for it.

scientists can tackle the physical world but that world which can only be seen and felt by very few is indeed a mystery and a challenge,,somethings true tho they are can never be proved and its your word against anyone else.

but dear here in our normal life we accept everything ,,,no one follows word for word ,what the definition is in a book or google, anyway who cares?

whats abnormal is abnormal regardless ,,,,,what you call it,or what it falls unders don't bother me,,everyone each to their own definition and opinion of anything and everything in this world,

as long as it suits you and makes sense to others,,just go wid the flow.......

otherwise get ur glasses on,swat word for word until you get it right then die of exhaustion

sympathy or empathy » Post #8

Mon May 08, 2017 23:48 in General Talk

meaning of sympathy
feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune.

meaning of empathy
the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

somehow i see both related and people can become confused by showing either emotion.

i thought both meant roughly the same but now i know there is a difference.

anything that is conceived as not being normal i mean in the human world is paranormal to me,call it strange, out of the ordinary,,,bizarre, its still abnormal to us

definition of paranormal

denoting events or phenomena such as telekinesis or clairvoyance that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.

this is all i found on google first search but theres much more to it.
