not a fan of summer or hot weather considering i am from a cold climate, but i guess you gotta compromise, another word for life :?

so catmonster are you a vegetarian now?

do you use quorn and tofu alot? if seasoned and cooked well is almost same as meat especially minced quorn, has texture of mince meat.

pulses ie beans, lentils contain alot of protein, much more filling and nutritious, baked beans make you fart but tasty tho on buttered toast with a fried egg on top,yum :D

if davids eating noodles everyday look at what its done to his brain cells hahaha ,,diet needs to be varied more plants and berries i say.

i think if people had meat once a week then would be fine, yes i do agree with charez and everyone else ,we all have mentioned good points.

humans however have developed a taste for meat which is insatiable and cannot be replaced by anything else hmmm.

we are both herbivores and carnivores by nature i guess

zegon dear i do believe in the afterlife ,what i really mean't to say is that life as we know it now and the ppl in our life now, wont be part of the afterlife, nor the things we cherish here, our relationships and material possessions are to be enjoyed in this life,,,what God has instore for us remains unknown,,,judgement day will pass and fate will be revealed.

Everyone wants to go to heaven, yet no one wants to die :(

life teaches us one thing universally, whether you are rich or poor, black or white, our destiny is all the same, one day we will all be underground having left everything behind. :(

so try and lead a good and happy life while you can,no 2nd chance :)

Actually bouldrake i am a vegetarian since the past 12 years and was'nt a gr8 meat eater b4 then either,so i am not being hypocritical,,,gosh i really cant stand it when ppl say i am being hypocritical without understanding my post properly.

i mean there must be alternative ways to find cures, comon i am sure you would agree.....i mean if they spent more money on alternative research then i am sure they would get alot of support and donations from the public too.

ok for what primary reasons are animals put under torture for testing?
This i fail to understand and it must be a damn good reason and no other alternative is available and humans would cease to exist.

make-up is no good reason for an animal to be tested on,plenty of natural plants that can be used for colours etc, whats an animal got to do with it?

like i mentioned before,if these experiments done on animals are to pave way for human research then i suggest to clone human organs or bits of samples that can be experimented on.no point in sticking a big fat needle up a bunny's ass or giving a dog electric shock, i mean how cruel can you be?

i guarantee you guys that anyone who works in these testing labs are non animal lovers or got no heart at all,,i mean how could you torture a poor innocent fluffy baby :( :( :(

nice topic and plenty of optimistic comments here :)

i truly think for a happier older life one should start looking after themselves now, a good base means stronger foundation, eat healthier, get plenty of exercise and rest too!

Having an active social life as you get older is also very important, we all need to be continually stimulated and refreshed and i think clixsense is a gr8 way to interact and be mentally active ,get support, ideas and much much more.

even at 80+ you can join clixsense, better late than never

My mother turned 62 end of April and she is more fitter than me believe it or not guys, im going to race her one day and show her :D

I watched this video and i have to say it is heart wrenching

Animals too have feelings, they can sense pain, how dare they do this!
I love animals, even if its something slimy or ugly like a snail , i haven't got the heart to hurt it,i will just remove it.

There is no need for this, don't they know that all living organisms are made from living cells,so why don't they take cell samples, DNA and blood and test on that instead of putting that poor bugger through unnecessary pain and misery

Also to add something else here,i am against those who eat dogs and cats,,you got no beef or chicken there?

I think this is cruelty as well, especially when every second person in the world has either a cat or dog,or bunny, guinea pig,,list can go on.
