What's on your mind? » Post #35

Haha, you don't need to be old or a grouch to think that malls are a pain. ;)

Well, the fact that you only said "some people are being overly sensitive" after I had shared my opinion lead me to think you were probably talking about me... that's the reason. Of course I don't feel I was being overly sensitive, in the same way as I don't take ProAdCo's IQ comment personally. It's just that I didn't understand the reason for those comments which came after my posts.

I know you agree, it was pretty clear when you said that you also know some women who don't especially enjoy shopping.

Anyway, thank you for your apology, but it's ok. At least you seem to be a reasonable person, capable of having a normal and healthy interaction.

By the way, I do enjoy shopping some stuff!

And when exactly did I start to argue? When did I say that someone is not allowed to disagree with me? Wasn't I just politely expressing my opinion and possibly opening a debate? And then ProAdCo and you came up with the IQ's and overly sensitiveness... sorry, but you two are turning things upside down. I don't have a lack of sense of humour, I just don't find it funny when people start being disrespectful and have the nerve to put the blame on you.

ProAdCo wrote:@ Sarah_Hill

I made a fact, you posted a pun, know the difference.

Really simple. Read the fortune 500 news on shoppers and who does most of the buying.

Women shoppers would cripple the economy if they boycott shopping.

I didn't post any pun, only an ironic sentence; I thought you might know the difference, as your IQ is so high.

The funny thing is you don't even realise that I partially agreed with your point, I don't need to read anything to know that many women love shopping... but that is NOT all women.

I guess me being a woman who doesn't love it is just an opinion, not a fact. (I'm using irony again, by the way).

Anyway, this got boring and tiring, nothing much left to be said. You always act the same here, not listening to others, unless they agree with you. Believe as you wish.

That's what I mean, I also know some women who love shopping, but others (like myself) are not crazy about it.
I know some men who love football, others who don't... some women who love it too, others (like myself) who just watch and enjoy some major matches...

My point is that generalizations are true just to a certain extent, and that they often contribute to create stupid prejudices.

I know. I got it.

Great. I guess I was confused by your being confused and thought it'd be nice to clarify my point.

Your point is only a self opinion, not an actually fact.

Thanks for enlightening me with your wisdom, you do realise that your opinion is also just an opinion and not a fact, don't you?

ShadowWalker wrote:I just think some people are being overly sensitive.....but then I'm confused..... :? ;)

Seriously, I don't know what the point is in coming up with all this crap. I read a statement which made me think and gave my opinion about it, as this thread's title is "What's on your mind?"... and apparently that's being "overly sensitive"... but hey, I guess I must be the one whose IQ has been decreasing lately.

Whatever, have a nice day.

Yep, I saw it a few weeks ago and really liked it, actually I liked it so much that I saw it once in English and once in Spanish.

Awesome scenery, interesting story, stunning special effects (the bear scene is just crazy), fantastic soundtrack and great actors, especially Tom Hardy and DiCaprio, of course.

Sure, and men love football... 'cause you know, every woman is the same as every man is the same. /ironic mode off

Right now, thinking about how harmful and stupid stereotypes can be.

Cheers!

No necesitas mi permiso Manu!

encuesta no pagada » Post #40

Saludos y suerte.
