What concerns me is when I use the wrong password for a site...

Logging into NB with a CS password. (As example)

or;

Logging into FaceBook with a Twitter password...

@ tasman1,

FaceBook keeps that (and ALL other info)
So if FaceBook was breached, one can almost assume so...

FaceBook and Google are accused of key logging. (More info to come, watch the news in the next couple of days.)

If you write a post on FB, then decide to delete it
and not send, They keep what you wrote and store it...

FaceBook and Google have HUGE Data Centers and can afford to keep all of that data...

Most companies can not.

Ever log into FaceBook with an old password?
They tell you - "Woops, Looks like you used an old password, try again."

Now (as far as we are concerned),

These days passwords are encrypted.
And if done right, the general answer is no.

If you trust the site owner/developer.

The way I see it,
If someone means to do harm, they will.

Greed is a powerful emotion...

However, is the outcome worth it?

I can spend weeks/months trying to break
into an account.

But, there better be something in there to be
worth my time...

Simplified:: you are 99.98% safe.

Never change a password from a link in an email...

If I receive an email "Time to maintain your account",
I always log into the account directly.

Don't follow the link in an email when concerning an account.

To be honest,

If reward sites are your hobbie,

You get paid what??

Every 3 or 4 months or more...

You should be changing passwords
atleast as often...

...If you use it a lot.

Me I dont worry, could give my bank
password here, but then this thread
will be locked... ;)

That said, stay within your comfort zone...
Don't feel comfortable, Don't do it...

Not for this particular company (Dwolla) yet...

I did provide that info to Payza.

The part that bothered me at the time is,

Payza's text box for passwords did not
allow enough charactars forcing me to
shorten my bank password...

(I would change the bank password,
Initiate a Payza thransfer,
Change the bank password back)

I also opened a separate bank account just
for online payments (purchases too...).

Look for one that has a low minimum balance
to avoid monthly fees. I found one that has a
minimum requirement of $500 to avoid this
fee.

... Then again I am not as paranoid as many
people on this subject...

True, I opened a separate checking account
however every transaction is date and time
stamped... ... If it gets compromised, go ahead,
It's insured...

Good for you!

That was quick too, just over a month...

If you don't mind,
How did you meet the requirements?

You directly or referrals?

I have a pile of advertising credits I am looking to burn up.
Just don't know if referrals earnings count...

(I like InboxDollars, was a member close to a decade ago.)

Last week I got emailed a coupon or discount for Adwords, AdSense (google).

The amount was, you guessed it, $250.

Still, What a waste...

Is that the exception or the rule?

Quote:$100 to $300+ per month here.

How many hours would that be?

I completed 94 surveys and earned $4.17,
I would have to complete 2,000 surveys to come close to $100.00.
(500 completes a week  )

My average for "Completed Surveys" is just over .04 each...

Out of 750+ tries I got 94 surveys complete to earn $4.17...

Imagine shuffling through 1,000 to 1,200 surveys and not even earning $5.00.

I could choose to work tasks here, but then I will be giving up $4.00 plus cash out fee to make $10.00.

In business you have to make changes to succeed. Also, you cannot always make everyone happy. The PTC industry is not what it used to be. It's now filled with fraud and places us in a high risk category. We could not get approved for merchant accounts and when you reach out to a company to partner with them, they see PTC and immediately back off. Could we have continued as we were and been successful? Absolutely, But, we decided it was best to move forward with a plan that will give us growth in a vertical (category) where we've excelled, surveys.

Everyone seems to think this move was to bring Paypal back, they are all wrong. In my opinion Paypal will not give us our account back due to the industry we were in. If that's the case then we move on without them. We are talking now with a company that can send your money directly to your bank account for a very small fee. If all goes well we hope to have them on the site in the coming weeks.

As for your comment about renting referrals. Sorry, but that will never happen here, especially now. We certainly would not add a feature that places us back into an MLM category when we just removed the 8 tier affiliate program.

I know many people are upset about the removal of PTC and I am sorry but we're not just sitting back and ignoring you. We have many plans to continue to improve and grow and this includes ways for you to earn more money. These things take time so just hang tight a little while longer.

Thanks
Jim
